Nowadays, most of water source is deteriorating due to depending on surface water more than 90%. New disinfection facilities are urgent because a provision of total coliforms was made newly and have gone into effect since in January 2003 for securing of water source. And waste sludge treatments is an outstanding environment question because of several reasons such as increases of waste sludge, high cost of waste sludge treatment and prohibition of sludge treatment method having been utilized. In this study, specific characteristics of ozone treatment for wastewater effluent and volume reduction of waste sludge were studied with pilot-plant. The results of the study are followed: A removal efficiencies of total-coliforms with ozone dose change of 1.6, 2.6, 3.5, 4.5gO3/m3Water were 73.7, 88.1, 95.6, 97.2% .respectively. And MLSS reduction rate of waste sludge with ozone dose change of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8gO3/gSS were 38.0, 50.0, 57.9, 62.0%.respectively. CODMn removal efficiency of that was 50.5, 65.0, 76.6, 82.1% respectively and SV30 reduced 92.6% even if ozone dose was 0.2gO3/gSS. Therefore, it is found that ozone treatment is very effective for sludge volume reduction and solidㆍliquid separation.

The plenty of availability and high precision of GPS CORS is the reason why it become important more and more in the fields of surveying widely. In this study. I extracted the arbitrary point's coordinate which is using GPS CORS data. now served in RINEX FORMAT via Inter-Net, with observation network of the existing triangulation and GPS CORS data. Then. with this arbitrary point as reference station. RTK GPS was performed. And I will study VRS-GPS concept which reduces the time and cost in the fields of surveying.
유한요소법을 이용한 말뚝부착 폐타이어의 파랑력에 의한 유사 정적해석

The quasi-static analysis of worn tire attached to pile by wave forces has been investigated through the numerical method. Finite element model has been developed by cosidering that the composite material of rubber and cord is orthotropic, the rubber is isotropic and also by regarding that all the material behaves as linear elastic. The pressure distribution by wave around the worn tire has been estimated through the adjustment for the concept of flow seperation. It is found that the worn tire subjected to wave loading experiences very large deformations which may result the failure by wave action.
해안대수층 지하수흐름의 특성 : 실내 실험연구 LABORATORY EXPERIMENTS

Experiments were conducted using laboratory models to study salt water intrusion phenomena in coastal aquifers. Two models filled with sand were used. The smaller model could produce steady-state cross-sectional flow in a reasonably short time. The bigger model produced a more interesting three-dimensional flow field compare to the smaller one, but it also took much more time to reach steady states and posed difficulties in observing results. A cross-sectional model was used to investigate 'freshwater lens'phenomena. A few pumping scenarios were tested. Contamination of the well with excessive withdrawal was observed. The effectiveness of a scavenger well was studied. The bigger model was used to study the steady-state lateral intrusion problems. Various attempts were made to measure the interface position in the sand.
통영시와 양산시의 건기시 합류식 하수관거 월류수(CSOs)에 관한 비교연구

Two analysis sites were set up each for this study in the city of Tongyoung, which has the characteristics of a coastal area, and in the city of Yangsan, which has the characteristics of an inland area, water quantity, and water quality and analysis of initial rainfall pollution level on Combined Sewer Overflows(CSOs) were performed. Based on the findings of these analyses. comparing and predicting the characteristics of effluent considering rainfall intensity using SWMM modeling is the purpose of this study. Following the compilation and analysis of data. the selection of analysis sites for preliminary samples, and the confirmation and examination of the sites for the field study, two sites for the analysis of CSOs were chosen each in the city of Tongyoung, a coastal area, and in the city of Yangsan, an inland area. The analysis of water quantity on CSOs was conducted with Flo-Tote(Ⅱ). For analysis parameters. BOD_(5), COD_(Cr), TSS, T-P, and T-N were analyzed 12 times a day. The results of SWMM modeling based on the amount of rainfall of Tongyoung and Yangsan revealed a little difference between measured value and predicted values, but the difference was modest in terms of volume. However, continuous studies on major coefficients and variables considering the amount of rainfall and local characteristics are required for more exact conclusion.
부산 중심지 장애인 이동 환경 실태 연구 : 부산시 남포동을 중심으로 Focusing on Nampo-dong Area, Busan Korea

The purpose of this research is to investigate actual condition of movement environment for people with physical disabilities in Nampo-dong area. Busan. For this study. Three different environments are selected: 1) Subway environment. 2) Access environment from subway to main street and 3) Main street environment. In subway environment. most physical conditions may become obstacles to move easily for the disabled. Access slope is higher than the standard slope and the wheel chair lift shows problems of safety. Especially, the distance between platform and train door is too wide to prevent wheel chair movement. Access and main street environments face problems with street furnitures for the disabled such as surface materials, public phone. crosswalk, and so on.

In this study, the spatiotemporal surface temperature changes were analyzed in the Korean pennisula. The surface temperature variation was estimated using the split-window method and NOAA/AVHRR data in 1991, 1995 and 2000. The ranges of differences were 3-15℃ around the penninsula. The differences in seasonal variations and yearly flucturations in big cities were lower than those in rural areas and showed clearly the effects of the urbanization. The characteristics of urban heat affects were further determined based on the day and night time temparature comparision on Busan metropolitan area between these periods. Finally, the future use of this technology was suggested for the urban environmental planning.
Experimental investigation of Wheeler's hardening model for Pusan clays

The present paper adopts Wheeler's model (1997) to evaluate its application to Pusan clays. A program of triaxial and consolidation tests on samples of Pusan clays at Yangsan, Korea was under taken to investigate the applicability of the model adopted. The model parameters are evaluated by describing the initial state of the soil. Model predictions are shown to be qualitatively consistent with experimental observations, but refinement seems to be required to have much better agreement between experimental results and model predictions.
