A New Implementation of Multilevel Framework for Interconnect-Driven Floorplanning

In this paper, we propose a multilevel fixed-outline floorplanning method, called multilevel IARFP, to deal with floorplanning problem for the large-scale integrated circuit designs. We combine the IARFP [1] into the V-shaped multilevel framework [2], engaging in getting a better result with minimized wirelength. We recursively partition the circuits by using hMetis [3], to get min-cut cost. After the partition stage, we do floorplanning from top to down building sequences for merging and refinement stage. Then we bottom-up merge the sub-regions into big regions until attain the final floorplan. The IARFP is based on Sequence Pair [7] representation; for multilevel case, we present multilevel Sequence Pair representation to handle the floorplanning. We can get about 11% reductions in wirelength within about 55% run time comparing with flat IARFP algorithm.

This paper develops an online inter-turn short-circuit fault (ISF) detection method for inverter-fed permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) systems. A high-frequency (HF) mathematical model of a PMSM with an ISF is established. Based on the presented HF model, the HF responses of the PMSM with various severity of ISF under HF voltage injectionare analyzed in detail, where both the short-circuit ratio and the fault resistance are considered to evaluate the fault severity. In the proposed fault diagnosis method, the amplitude of the HF negative-sequence component is used to determine the fault severity, and the initial phase is used to locate the position of the faulty phase. The simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A new bis(pyridine-2-ylmethyl)amine derivative (<B>1</B>) was synthesized as a colorimetric and fluorescent chemosensor for metal ions. Experimental results indicate that <B>1</B> displays significant colorimetric and fluorescent changes upon binding of Cu<SUP>2+</SUP>. Since <B>1</B> has a high water solubility as well as good cell-permeability, it successfully applied to detect the presence of Cu<SUP>2+</SUP> ion in HepG2 cells in culture medium. Thus, <B>1</B> can be used as a potential Cu<SUP>2+</SUP> chemosensor in aqueous solution and mammalian cells. Further, the fluorescence behavior of <B>1</B> upon Cu<SUP>2+</SUP> binding was well explained by our quantum calculation based on electronic structure.</P>
A Fast Level Filtering Algorithm for Inter Prediction in HEVC Encoder

The emerging High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard employs several efficient coding tools to obtain 50% bit rate reduction than H.264/AVC standard with comparable video quality, but at the cost of high computational complexity. This paper analyzes the performance of fixed CU levels and proposes a level filtering algorithm for inter prediction. A RD cost-based correlation for the 64x64 CU is utilized to do a level filtering for the quadtree structured code unit, which is aimed at reducing the number of fine-processed levels. For the non-64x64 CUs, merge mode and Coded Block Flag (CBF) are used to determine the early termination. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve 0.93% BD-rate loss and 40.36% time reduction on average.

<P>Green-emitting phosphor of Eu<SUP>2+</SUP>-doped sodium barium silicate Na<SUB>2</SUB>BaSi<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>6</SUB> was prepared by chemical sol-gel method. The X-ray powder diffraction, SEM, photoluminescence pectra and time resolved emission spectra were measured. The excitation spectra can well match with the emission light of near UV-LED chips (360–400 nm). The luminescence was suggested to originate from two kinds of Eu<SUP>2+</SUP> centers, which occupy both Ba<SUP>2+</SUP> and Na(2) sites in Na<SUB>2</SUB>BaSi<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>6</SUB> lattices. Energy transfer among the Eu<SUP>2+</SUP>-centers was discussed by analyzing the photoluminescence spectra, concentration-dependent luminescence intensity and decay lifetimes. The dependence of the luminescence intensity of Na<SUB>2</SUB>BaSi<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>6</SUB>:Eu<SUP>2+</SUP> on temperatures was measured. The activation energy (Δ<I>E</I>) for thermal quenching was reported. The luminescence properties of Na<SUB>2</SUB>BaSi<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>6</SUB>:Eu<SUP>2+</SUP> were compared with that of BaSiO<SUB>3</SUB>:Eu<SUP>2+</SUP>. The high luminescence of Na<SUB>2</SUB>BaSi<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>6</SUB>:Eu<SUP>2+</SUP> were discussed on the base of luminescence properties and microstructure of Eu<SUP>2+</SUP> ion.</P>
Socioeconomic Changes and Value Modernization in China: Changes and Continuity 1993-2011

As China's economic development brings the country out of poverty and into modernity, a long-lasting debate concerns whether the Chinese public's value system is also changing toward the so-called "modern values," or whether some distinctly traditional Chinese values remain unchanged. Using empirical data collected at three points in time during the 1990s and the first two decades of the 21st Century (1993, 2002, and 2011), I found that Chinese citizens who benefitted from urbanization, rising levels of education and employment in non-farm, knowledge-based industries displayed stronger modern values. People with stronger modern values are more likely to emphasize individual autonomy, competition, gender equality, and market transaction, among others. Some characteristics of the Chinese people, most importantly family values, however, seem to remain stable amidst rapid social changes.
Research on Terrain Reconstruction of Twin Sequence Images in Lunar Exploration

The detectors are an important tool in deep space exploration; they can provide a large number of images which contain the ground environment information of celestial body. Bythree-dimensional reconstruction, terrain information can be extracted from these images, such as elevation data and texture data. This paper focuses on an adaptive terrain reconstruction for sequence image. A method, which calculate Binocular geometric model with matching measures of matching points and random sample consensus algorithm, is proposed. On the basic of this method, a densepoints matching method based on epipolar and homography constraints is presented. Besides the selection method of reconstruction image and the terrain reconstruction flow are discussed. The proposed adaptive terrain reconstruction satisfies the automation and real time requirement of some terrain reconstruction task, such as landing filed selection in detector landing, and is experiment and applied into sequence image of detector ChangE III’s landing camera, so as to ensure the safety of detector landing.

Critical elements in the China’s Lunar Exploration reside in that the lunar rover travels over the surroundingundetermined environment and it conducts scientific exploration under the ground control via teleoperationsystem. Such an interplanetary transportation mission teleoperation system belongs to the ground applicationsystem in deep space mission, which performs terrain reconstruction, visual positioning, path planning, androver motion control by receiving telemetry data. It plays a vital role in the whole lunar exploration operationand its so-called trustworthy evidence must be assessed before and during its implementation. Taking ISOstandards and China’s national military standards as trustworthy evidence source, the net assessment modeland net assessment method of teleoperation system are established in this paper. The multi-dimensional netassessment model covering the life cycle of software is defined by extracting the trustworthy evidences fromtrustworthy evidence source. The qualitative decisions are converted to quantitative weights through the netassessment method (NAM) combined with fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and entropy weightmethod (EWM) to determine the weight of the evidence elements in the net assessment model. The paperemploys the teleoperation system for interplanetary transportation as a case study. The experimental resultdrawn shows the validity and rationality of net assessment model and method. In the final part of this paper,the untrustworthy elements of the teleoperation system are discovered and an improvement scheme isestablished upon the “net result”. The work completed in this paper has been applied in the development of theteleoperation system of China’s Chang’e-3 (CE-3) “Jade Rabbit-1” and Chang’e-4 (CE-4) “Jade Rabbit-2” roversuccessfully. Besides, it will be implemented in China’s Chang’e-5 (CE-5) mission in 2019. What’s more, it willbe promoted in the Mars exploration mission in 2020. Therefore it is valuable to the development processimprovement of aerospace information system.
