        Prediction of protein-protein interactions based on protein-protein correlation using least squares regression.

        <P>In order to transform protein sequences into the feature vectors, several works have been done, such as computing auto covariance (AC), conjoint triad (CT), local descriptor (LD), moran autocorrelation (MA), normalized moreaubroto autocorrelation (NMB) and so on. In this paper, we shall adopt these transformation methods to encode the proteins, respectively, where AC, CT, LD, MA and NMB are all represented by '+' in a unified manner. A new method, i.e. the combination of least squares regression with '+' (abbreviated as LSR(+)), will be introduced for encoding a protein-protein correlation-based feature representation and an interacting protein pair. Thus there are totally five different combinations for LSR(+), i.e. LSRAC, LSRCT, LSRLD, LSRMA and LSRNMB. As a result, we combined a support vector machine (SVM) approach with LSR(+) to predict protein-protein interactions (PPI) and PPI networks. The proposed method has been applied on four datasets, i.e. Saaccharomyces cerevisiae, Escherichia coli, Homo sapiens and Caenorhabditis elegans. The experimental results demonstrate that all LSR(+) methods outperform many existing representative algorithms. Therefore, LSR(+) is a powerful tool to characterize the protein-protein correlations and to infer PPI, whilst keeping high performance on prediction of PPI networks.</P>

        An improved horizontally reversible plow design based on virtual assembly semantics and constraint

        There exit model errors in the constructed Horizontally reversible plough (HRP) structure through Interference check technique (ICT). This is basically due to missing parts and geometric interference and, hence, has significantly adverse effects in improving HRP. In thispaper an improved design to refine the three dimensional (3D) model of HRP is implemented by using Virtual assembly technology(VAT). To achieve this, the authors propose a combined virtual assembly semantics and constraint for assembly planning and simulationof HRP in the commercial software, e.g., SolidWorks. First, the assembly planning of HRP was captured with a semantics-based model,including spatial position, assembly orientation, type and parameters of the semantic entities; secondly, the assembly simulation of HRPwas performed by using constraint-based VAT, e.g. component grasping, moving and releasing; finally, the obtained HRP model wasverified through ICT again. The results demonstrate that not any model error exists in the refined 3D HRP model any longer and thatsemantics and constrain based VAT can support the interactive operation more effectively and accurately than those with geometric constraints. This technique was previously used for HRP model. Based on the refined 3D HRP model, the design improvement of Remotecylinder base (RCB), an important component of HRP, will be forthcoming in a future paper.

      • Expression and Clinical Significance of Myeloid Derived Suppressor Cells in Chronic Hepatitis B Patients

        We here document discovery of expression profile of myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients and changes in the course of disease. The study population was composed of 75 outpatient HBV cases and 15 healthy control cases. Peripheral blood samples were collected for separation of mononuclear cells. Levels of MDSCs labeled with Lin-DR-CD11b+CD33+ obtained from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), were revealed to have significant differences between the CHB and other groups. They were 0.414% for health control cases and 0.226% for CHB cases (Z=-2.356, p=0.0189). It also observed that the group of HBeAg positive cases had significant difference in MDSCs/PBMC median ($X^2=11.877$, p=0.003), compared with group of HBeAg negative cases and the healthy control group. It suggested considerable MDSCs might be involved in HBeAg immune tolerance. In addition, negative correlations between MDSCs/PBMC and parameters of ALT, AST and TBil, while positive correlation between MDSCs/PBMC and ALB parameter were found. Multiple comparisons between the four phases and health control phase again, there was a statistically sifnificant difference ($X^2=17.198$, p=0.002). Taken together, these findings may provide a new immunotherapy strategy for reduced the expression levels of MDSCs in CHB patients, through induction of an autoimmune response to virus removal.

        中国电影投融资的法律规制初探

        최근에 중국영화의 폭발적인 증가 추세에 따라 중국의 영화시장에는 원래 없었던 번영이 나타났다. 그와 동시에 중국영화의 투자·융자 방식도 중대한 변화가 일어났다. 즉, 국가투자를 위주로 하였던 영화시장에서 사적 자본이 대규모적으로 몰려왔다. 충족한 자금에 의거하여 중국영화의 연간 생산량이 500편에 달하게 되었지만 사실 그 중에 50%도 채 안 되는 영화가 개봉될 수 있다. 영화자금이 진정 국민 문화생활을 풍부하게 하는 자금이 될 수 있도록 중국영화의 개방적인 확장을 어떻게 억제하는가 하는 점이 중국이 당면하고 있는 문제가 되고 있다. 중국 영화의 투자·융자 경로는 주로 뱅크 론(bank loan), 영화 전문기금, 영화예매 융자, 증권시장 융자와 사모펀드 등이 있다. 각각 장단점이 있는 위와 같은 여러 경로들이 공동적으로 중국 영화산업의 운영을 뒷받침 하고 있다. 그 중에 사모펀드는 세계 각국 특히 영화산업선진국이 일반적으로 인정하고 취하고 있는 방식이며 중국에서도 급부상하고 있는 융자방식이다. 영화기금의 발전은 양호한 영화금융환경을 필요로 한다. 이 모든 것은 법률규제와 매우 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 중국에서 영화 투자·융자에 관한 법률·법규가 이미 많이 공포되고 있지만 아직 여러 측면에서 세계적인 선진수준에 뒤지고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 진일보로 영화의 투자·융자 경로를 확장하고 기존의 영화 투자·융자를 규범화하는 가장 좋은 방법은 그에 관한 법제 정비의 추진을 가속화하는 것이다. In recent years, the Chinese film market has entered a period of prosperity as the explosive rise in the field, however, the investment and financing system of the Chinese film market changes in the same time. More and more film are invested by social capital instead of Chinese government. The pouring of social capital is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the quantity of films grows to 500 per year, on the other hand, less than half of those films would finally be cinematic released. How to restrain the extensive growth and make the fund truly enrich people’s cultural life has been put in front of the public. The investment and financing of the Chinese film at the moment mainly contains bank loans, special film fund, film pre-sale financing, securities market financing, and private equity financing. These ways of financing all have their advantages and disadvantages, and they together support the operation of Chinese film industry. Private equity financing, among them, has been accepted and applied widely around the world, especially in those countries with highly developed film industry, and it becomes more and more popular in China, too. Developing the film fund is based on a healthy environment of financing, which is inseparable from regulations and laws. China has issued many relevant policies and regulations, however, it is behind the world level in many aspects. Therefore, to accelerate the construction of relevant legal system is the best way to broaden the financing methods and regulate the existence ones.
