        허정숙 다시 보기 북한에서의 삶을 중심으로

        허정숙은 남북한 모두에서 독보적 방점을 남긴 여성이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그는 역사 기록에서 저평가되고 왜곡되어 왔으며 인생의 전모를 들여다볼 수 있는 흔적을 찾기 어려웠다. 이에 본 연구에서는 남한과 북한 자료를 통해 허정숙의 90여 년 인생 전반을 입체적·다각적으로 복원하고, 북에서 권력의 핵심으로 오래 살아남을 수 있었던 이유를 구체적으로 분석해 보았다. 허정숙은 삶의 큰 변곡점이 있을 때마다 사상과 행적을 크게 변화시켜갔다. 입북 이전의 그는 좋은 환경을 타고났음에도 편안함에 안주하지 않고 국내외를 오가며 계몽주의자·사회주의자·여성해방주의자·독립운동가로서의 삶을 살았다. 입북 이후 허정숙은 본인이 쌓아온 능력을 바탕으로 가장 오래 현역으로 살다간 여성 권력자이자 조선 여성의 역할모델이 되었다. 그의 사회적 성공은 독보적인 실력, 투철한 사회주의 및 여성주의 사상, 항일여성 투사로서의 상징성, 유연한 처세, 허정숙 가계에 대한 김일성의 신뢰 등으로 가능했다. 북으로 간 인물 중 여성들의 흔적이 여전히 미미한 한국 근현대사에서 당대 남성들과 당당히 어깨를 겨루어 생존하고 정권의 중책에 오른 허정숙에 대한 조명은 그 자체로 의의가 있다. 또 현대사의 굴곡을 입체적으로 담고 있는 그의 인생사는 한국 근현대사를 이해하는 작은 창이 될 수 있을 것이다. Huh Jung-Sook is one of the first woman socialists who has left an indeliblemark in both South andNorthKoreas. Despite her political and social influences, she is not well known in South Korea as a result of her defection to North Korea. This study thus aims to explore her life that spans over 90 years, fromthe colonial era to the postwar Koreas, and the reasons why she was able to survive and rise to power in North Korea. In so doing, this study sheds light on the tumultuous history of 20th century Korea. A closer look into Huh’s life reveals that she was very quick to adapt to socio-political changes and continuously sought to broaden her thoughts and ideals. She also took prompt actions to actualize her dreams and goals. Even though shewas froma wealthy family, she never settled for an easy life and fought for women’s rights, socialist reform, andKorea’s national independence. Huh defected toNorthKorea after Korea was liberated from Japan and became one of the very few surviving female intellectuals and the longest-living revolutionary. Her social success was largely due to her unrivaled intellectual ability, her commitment to socialism and feminism, her usefulness as an exemplary and symbolic North Korean female leader who has also fought against the Japanese imperialists for Korea’s independence, and especially because she was fromKimIl-sung’s trusted Huh family. To this end, the narrative of one woman and her rise to political power in North Korea reconsiders the fragmented history of modern Korea in which the voices of women and North Koreans are marginalized and under-represented.

        Synthesis And Characterization Of SiO2, SnO2 And TiO2 Metal Oxide Shells Covering Cu2O Particles

        <B>Abstract</B><P>In this work is described a means of improving the chemical stability of Cu2O@SiO2, Cu2O@SnO2 and Cu2O@TiO2 materials. The SiO2, SnO2 and TiO2 coated samples were stable from pH 3 to pH 10 for up to seven days. To determine the stability of the coated nanoparticles, and their colloidal solutions under acidic and basic conditions, colloidal nanoparticle solutions with various pH values were prepared and monitored over time. Details of the effect of variations in pH on the phase stability of core-shell type Cu2O were characterized using transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction.</P>

        Study of Fabrication and Improvement of Mechanical Properties of Mg-based Inorganic Fiber using Reflux Process and Silica Coating

        Whisker-type magnesium hydroxide sulfate hydrate ($5Mg(OH)_2{\cdot}MgSO_4{\cdot}3H_2O$, abbreviated 513 MHSH), is used in filler and flame-retardant composites based on its hydrate phase and its ability to undergo endothermic dehydration in fire conditions, respectively. In general, the length of whiskers is determined according to various synthetic conditions in a hydrothermal reaction with high temperature (${\sim}180^{\circ}C$). In this work, high-quality 513 MHSH whiskers are synthesized by controlling the concentration of the raw material in ambient conditions without high pressure. Particularly, the concentration of the starting material is closely related to the length, width, and purity of MHSH. In addition, a ceramic-coating system is adopted to enhance the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the MHSH whiskers. The physical properties of the silica-coated MHSH are characterized by an abrasion test, thermogravimetric analysis, and transmission electron microscopy.

        Synthesis and Coloration Control of α-FeOOH Rods using Closed System

        This paper details the synthesis of α-FeOOH (goethite) rods through the reaction of iron (III) nitrate with KOH as a strong base, and shape control of the particles for use as a yellow inorganic pigment. The crystal phase of the α-FeOOH crystal with OH content according to the addition of KOH and the change in morphology were investigated. The optical properties varied with the aspect ratios, and the yellowness increased with increasing aspect ratio. However, the enhanced chromaticity characteristics reversed beyond a certain critical aspect ratio. Thus, the relative optimal aspect ratio of the α-FeOOH rods as a vivid yellow inorganic pigment was derived. The morphology and coloration of the prepared rods were investigated in detail using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-vis spectroscopy, and CIE Lab color parameter measurements.

        Synthesis and characterization of multi-functional ZnO nano ceramic phosphor.

        <P>This manuscript reports on the synthesis and characterization of a multi-functional ZnO core-shell structure with CoFe2O4 as magnetic materials. To form a combination between optical (ZnO) and magnetic (CoFe2O4) materials, the surfaces of both materials were modified by amine and silica. First, ZnO raw mertials were coated silica using sol-gel methods and -OH group of their surface were modified using amines. Hydrophobic CoFe2O4 nanoparticle was coated with silica and was found to have hydrophilic properties. CoFe2O4 attached silica-coated ZnO core-shell structures were prepared by self-assembly technique and have blue luminescence and magnetic properties.</P>

      • 한국 현대시를 활용한 상호문화 지식 교육에 대한 고찰 - 중국인 학습자의 문화 지식 구성 양상을 중심으로 -

        This study aims to project Korean culture education, focused on learner, where learner becomes the active principal and forms the Korean culture knowledge. Currently the culture education in Korean language education is usually made in a way to present fragmentary knowledge. However, as culture is a learning object to recognize, feel and experience, it is better for the teacher not to make the culture education via one-way provision of cultural knowledge. In this context, this study used the concept of ‘inter-culture’ and projected a intercultural knowledge education where the learner interacts with the target culture, based on his/her cultural identity, to understand, interpret, and personalize the cultural knowledge. In addition, considering the possibility that the cultural knowledge construction may differ by language level, this study tried to find out the difference in the cultural knowledge construction by intermediate and advanced level learners and design different teaching and learning method based on the difference. In this study, ‘knowledge’ is assumed not just as the knowledge as a target but as the more expanded concept to comprise the process of knowledge construction and affective aspects. Also, in this study, Korean modern poems are used as education materials to have affective approaches to Korean culture. As the principles of intercultural knowledge construction using Korean modern poems, ‘formation of Kommunikat via understanding of the text’, ‘construction of the meaning of culturalknowledge via interactions’, and ‘reconstruction of cultural knowledge as personal knowledge’ are proposed. And, this study found that the intercultural knowledge education using Korean modern poetry has educational implication as it provides personal experience of poetic emotion via which the learner can have affective approaches to Korean culture, personalize via active meaning construction of the poem’s text, and foster intercultural competence via inter-culture communication. The experiment of this study was administered for Chinese intermediate and advanced level learners and designed to achieve both personal knowledge construction and inter-personal knowledge construction based on the viewpoint of constructivism. In addition, to compare the aspects of knowledge construction that differ by the level of language of each learner, the experiment was administered by two different groups of intermediate and advanced level learners. The study observed following categories in the cultural knowledge construction aspects using the Korean modern poems. Firstly, in the aspect of ‘forming Kommunikat via understanding of the text’, learners used either the internal information of the text or external factors of the text. Secondly, in the aspect of ‘construction of cultural knowledge meaning via interactions’, learners either understood the factual meaning of the text or shared the awareness on self-culture and personal cultural awareness. Thirdly, in the aspect of ‘reconstruction of cultural knowledge as personal knowledge’, learners stated cultural knowledge based on the understanding of the text and interpreted the cultural knowledge via making relations between cultures and personalized the cultural knowledge via personal reactions. The difference in the aspect of intercultural knowledge construction by intermediate and advanced level learners was as follows: Most advanced level learners understood the cultural knowledge via the poem’s text to proceed to interpretation and personalization. Compared to this, intermediate level learners failed to make active interpretation of the cultural knowledge and personalization as they stayedin the stage of understanding the text. That is, in many cases, intermediate level learners aroused the knowledge of self-culture in the stage of interpretation, however, due to the lack of understanding on the text, they failed to make active comparison between the cultures and kept the awareness of self-culture in the stage of personalization, which made them keep the awareness of the self-culture to keep the affective distance with other culture and failed to make reflective recognition on the self-culture. The study is meaningful as it found the processes and various aspects of cultural knowledge construction by using Korean modern poems based on actual data of learners’ noticing the importance of the processes of cultural knowledge construction, and, it projected differences in the aspects of cultural knowledge construction between intermediate and advanced level Chinese learners.

        Clinical Implication of Dacryoendoscopy in the Patients with Tearing: A Systematic Review

        Purpose: A systematic review of the literature on diagnostic and therapeutic indications, techniques, and complications of dacryoendoscopy (DE) was performed. Methods: The authors performed a PubMed search of articles published in English on DE. Data were collected and classified according to the categories of the disease. The clinical outcomes and limitations were particularly analyzed. Results: The lacrimal drainage system from the canaliculus to the inferior meatus could be examined based on the specific anatomical features by DE. The canalicular mucosa is smooth and brightly colored, the lacrimal sac shows covering mucosa with good vascularization and the nasolacrimal duct is lined with bright tubular mucosal folds. DE allows direct visualization of the detailed internal condition of the lacrimal disorders, to directly diagnose the site of obstruction with accuracy and address the causes and recanalize the lacrimal drainage system using assisted micro lacrimal surgical instruments in the tearing patients. Conclusions: Better visualization of the lacrimal canal with DE improves the understanding of physiology and precise identification of the obstructing lesions, both of which are the key to a comprehensive management for the tearing patients.

        Dacryoendoscopic Findings of Patients with Lacrimal Drainage Obstruction Associated with Cancer Treatment

        Purpose: To compare the diagnosis and treatment outcome of lacrimal drainage obstruction of patients who underwent systemic chemotherapy (CTx) or radioactive iodine treatment (RAI) by using dacryoendoscopy and at the same time performing dacryoendoscopy-guided silicone tube insertion (STI) to treat epiphora. Methods: From July 2017 to December 2020, the medical records of 11 patients (16 eyes) were diagnosed with lacrimal drainage obstruction after CTx or RAI and underwent dacryoendoscopy-guided STI were reviewed retrospectively. We tried to count the number of obstructive sites in total patients using slit-lamp examination and dacryoendoscopic findings. Results: A total of 11 patients, 16 eyes, were enrolled in this study. The onset of epiphora in the CTx group (3.0 ± 4.0 months) was significantly shorter than that in the RAI group (52.6 ± 36.5 months, p = 0.001). There were total 32 obstructive sites including 28 obstructive sites of dacryoendoscopic findings and four sites of punctual stenosis in total 16 cases. Using dacryoendoscopy, granulation findings was dominant in RAI patients (p = 0.038) and mucus finding was frequent mostly in lacrimal sac and canaliculus. In the CTx group, mucosal edema finding was dominant (p = 0.038) and fibrotic membrane finding was frequent in all levels of lacrimal drainage system. Regarding the obstructive location, lacrimal sac was the most frequently obstructed site in the two groups (p = 0.038). Conclusions: The onset of epiphora in the CTx group was significantly earlier than in the RAI group. In the CTx group, mucosal edema finding was frequent in all levels of lacrimal drainage system. In the RAI group, granulation finding was frequent mostly in lacrimal sac and canaliculus. Since the clinical outcome was satisfactory, intervention with dacryoendoscopy-guided STI could be a treatment of choice in patients with epiphora after CTx or RAI.
