Pseudomembranous colitis (PMC) is a disease caused by Clostridium difficile proliferation. The causative drugs are clindamycin, third-generation cephalosporins, flouroquinolone and so on. Rifampicin has been reported as a cause of PMC in the 1980s, and the frequency of PMC is increasing because rifampicin is a first line drug for anti-tuberculosis therapy. Two patients were recently admitted to our hospital due to watery diarrhea for 1 month and they were diagnosed with PMC by sigmoidoscopy. Their onset age were 74, 72 years old and latent period of symptoms were 60, 129 days, respectively. In one case, the patient displayed coexisting hypertension and diabetes. The clinical symptoms improved after discontinuing the rifampicin and then administering oral metronidazole. We report here on two cases presumed to be rifampicin-induced PMC.

Mesenteric cyst is a rare intraabodominal mass which is composed of most fibrous tissue with focal lining by flattened cells, cholestrol clefts and foam cells but lack of smooth musscle components and elements of the Iymphatic system. And, this entity is frequently misdiagnosed preoperatively as a cystic Iymphangioma. Therefore, histologic and ultrastructural evidence suggest that they are pathologically distinct. It must be distinguished from other intraabdominal and retroperitoneal cyst because outcome of surgical treatment is different. We report a case of mesenteric cyst arising in mesentery of ascending colon in a 46 year old male who had developed as a presenting symptom of periumbilical pain for 2 days before admission, with review of literatures.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze nursing research using data envelopment analysis and suggest directions for future research. Methods: We established -criteria literature search. e reviewed 45 from RISS, KISS, National assembly library and NDSL DB. Data were collected on December 17, 2013. developed analytic framework of literature reviews using Yun's study. This framework had 8 items related to approach of data envelopment analysis. Results: literature established -criteria. Average numbers of input and output variables were 2.4 and 4.2, respectively. All selected research conducted efficiency analysis, analysis, and inefficiency analysis. However only 3 research. Conclusion: he results of studysuggest that data envelopment are needed to enhance efficiencies of nursing organization as follows individual nurse's profiling to develop customized performance management plans; patient centered nursing interventions; and financial performance financial reports.

Exogenous carbon monoxide (0.2%) increases L-type calcium $(Ca^{2+})$ current in human jejunal circular smooth muscle cells. The stimulatory effect of carbon monoxide (CO) on L-type $Ca^{2+}$ current is inhibited by pre-application of L-NNA, a classical competitive inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) with no significant isoform selectivity (Lim, 2003). In the present study, we investigated which isoform of NOS affected CO induced stimulation of L-type $Ca^{2+}$ current in human jejunal circular smooth muscle cells. Cells were voltage clamped by whole-cell mode patch clamp technique, and membrane currents were recorded with 10 mM barium as the charge carrier. Before the addition of CO, cells were pretreated with each inhibitor of three NOS isoforms for 15 minutes. CO-stimulating effect on L-type $Ca^{2+}$ current was partially blocked by N-(3-(Amino-methyl) benzyl) acetamidine 2HCl (1400W, an iNOS inhibitor). On the other hand, 3-bromo-7-nitroindazole (BNI, a nNOS inhibitor) or $N^5-(1-Iminoethyl)-L-ornithine$ dihydrochloride (L-NIO, an eNOS inhibitor) completely blocked the CO effect. These data suggest that low dose of exogenous CO may stimulate all NOS isoforms to increase L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel through nitric oxide (NO) pathway in human jejunal circular smooth muscle cells.

Emotional ICT(Information Communication Technology) is based on analyzing the information to recognize physical responses throughout the brain when human stimulated by the exterior environment, it means technology that needed to influence to cause improved emotional state or to adjust environment useful for individuals by fusion of technology and other fields. In this paper, it will be reviewed of emotional service and five senses convergence technology in smart mobile environment. The standard defines the requirements of emotional service device, in terms of H/W platform function of emotional service device, emotional extraction function, emotional service/UI platform function, emotional information communication function.
The Effects of Interferential Current Therapy on Functional Dyspepsia

This study aims to address the effect of interferential current therapy and thereby to provide basic resources to physical therapies for internal medicine by identifying symptoms for functional dyspepsia and serum gastrin level that shows gastric motility. Following results were obtained by performing interferential current therapy to 16 subjects composed of 8 for functional dyspepsia group and 8 for control group for 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week, for 6 weeks. In control group, serum gastrin level was significantly( p<.01), lowered after the therapy whereas there was no significant difference observed in all questions from questionnaire for symptoms of functional dyspepsia between before and after the therapy. In functional dyspepsia group, serum gastrin level was significantly(p<.01), lowered after the therapy and there was also significant(p<.01) reduction in every question from questionnaire for symptoms of functional dyspepsia between before and after the therapy. There was more significant decrease in serum gastrin level and reduction in questionnaire for symptoms of functional dyspepsia in the functional dyspepsia group compared to the control group(p<.01). This study confirms the interferential current therapy as an effective therapeutic method for internal diseases including functional dyspepsia since it not only improves the symptoms of functional dyspepsia but also allows the gastric motility close to normal.

Employing electrophysiological and cell proliferation assay techniques, we studied the effects of $Ca^{2+}$ -activated $K^+$ channel modulators on the proliferation of human dermal fibroblasts, which is important in wound healing. Macroscopic voltage-dependent outward $K^+$ currents were found at about -40 mV stepped from a holding potential of -70 mV. The amplitude of $K^+$ current was increased by NS1619, a specific large-conductance $Ca^{2+}$-activated $K^+$ (BK) channel activator, but decreased by iberiotoxin (IBTX), a specific BK channel inhibitor. To investigate the presence of an intermediate-conductance $Ca^{2+}$-activated $K^+$ (IK) channels, we pretreated the fibroblasts with low dose of TEA to block BK currents, and added 1-EBIO (an IK activator). 1-EBIO recovered the currents inhibited by TEA. When various $Ca^{2+}$-activated $K^+$ channel modulators were added into culture media for 1∼3 days, NS1619 or 1-EBIO inhibited the cell proliferation. On the other hand, IBTX, clotrimazole or apamin, a small conductance $Ca^{2+}$-activated $K^+$ channel (SK) inhibitor, increased it. These results suggest that BK, IK, and SK channels might be involved in the proliferation of human dermal fibroblasts, which is inversely related to the channel activation.

Purpose: Cost-benefit analysis is one of the most commonly used economic evaluation methods, which helps to inform the economic value of a program to decision makers. However, the selection of a correct benefit estimation method remains critical for accurate cost-benefit analysis. This paper compared benefit estimations among three different benefit estimation models. Methods: Data from community-based chronic hypertension management programs in a city in South Korea were used. Three different benefit estimation methods were compared. The first was a standard deterministic estimation model; second, a repeated-measures deterministic estimation model; and third, a transitional probability estimation model. Results: The estimated net benefit of the three different methods were $1,273.01, $-3,749.42, and $-5,122.55 respectively. Conclusion: The transitional probability estimation model showed the most correct and realistic benefit estimation, as it traced possible paths of changing status between time points and it accounted for both positive and negative benefits.

<B>ABSTRACT</B><P>A microbial community analysis of forest soil from Jindong Valley, Korea, revealed that the most abundant rRNA genes were related to <I>Acidobacteria</I>, a major taxon with few cultured representatives. To access the microbial genetic resources of this forest soil, metagenomic libraries were constructed in fosmids, with an average DNA insert size of more than 35 kb. We constructed 80,500 clones from Yuseong and 33,200 clones from Jindong Valley forest soils. The double-agar-layer method allowed us to select two antibacterial clones by screening the constructed libraries using <I>Bacillus subtilis</I> as a target organism. Several clones produced purple or brown colonies. One of the selected antibacterial clones, pJEC5, produced purple colonies. Structural analysis of the purified pigments demonstrated that the metagenomic clone produced both the pigment indirubin and its isomer, indigo blue, resulting in purple colonies. In vitro mutational and subclonal analyses revealed that two open reading frames (ORFs) are responsible for the pigment production and antibacterial activity. The ORFs encode an oxygenase-like protein and a putative transcriptional regulator. Mutations of the gene encoding the oxygenase canceled both pigment production and antibacterial activity, whereas a subclone carrying the two ORFs retained pigment production and antibacterial activity. This finding suggests that these forest soil microbial genes are responsible for producing the pigment with antibacterial activity.</P>
