        Field Weakening Control of a PM Electric Variable Transmission for HEV

        This paper presents the control of a Permanent Magnet Electric Variable Transmission (PM-EVT) for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). Consisting of two electric machines, the EVT realizes the power split function in an electromagnetic way rather than in a mechanical way. A specific PM-EVT has been designed for Toyota Prius II. The control scheme of the entire vehicle is deduced using the Energetic Macroscopic Representation methodology. The energy management strategy yields local control references. A specific attention is paid for the field weakening for wide speed range. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the EVT modeling and control.

        Identification of an immune-related risk signature and nomogram predicting the overall survival in patients with endometrial cancer

        Objective: Aimed to construct an immune-related risk signature and nomogram predictingendometrial cancer (EC) prognosis. Methods: An immune-related risk signature in EC was constructed using the least absoluteshrinkage and selection operator regression analysis based on The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. A nomogram integrating theimmune-related genes and the clinicopathological characteristics was established andvalidated using the Kaplan-Meier survival curve and receiver operating characteristic (ROC)curve to predict the overall survival (OS) of EC patients. The Estimation of STromal andImmune cells in MAlignant Tumor tissues using Expression data (ESTIMATE) R tool wasused to explore the immune and stromal scores. Results: CCL17, CTLA4, GPI, HDGF, HFE2, ICOS, IFNG, IL21R, KAL1, NR3C1, S100A2, andS100A9 were used in developing an immune-related risk signature evaluation model. TheKaplan-Meier curve indicated that patients in the low-risk group had better OS (p<0.001). The area under the ROC curve (AUC) values of this model were 0.737, 0.764, and 0.782 for the3-, 5-, and 7-year OS, respectively. A nomogram integrating the immune-related risk modeland clinical features could accurately predict the OS (AUC=0.772, 0.786, and 0.817 at 3-, 5-,and 7-year OS, respectively). The 4 immune cell scores were lower in the high-risk group. Forkhead box P3 (FOXP3) and basic leucine zipper ATF-like transcription factor (BATF)showed a potential significant role in the immune-related risk signature. Conclusion: Twelve immune-related genes signature and nomogram for assessing the OS ofpatients with EC had a good practical value.

      • A multi-user Selective Undo/Redo Approach for Collaborative CAD Systems

        The engineering design process is a creative process and the designers must apply Undo/Redo to modify the CAD model repeatedly to explore new solutions. Undo/Redo has become one of most important facilities in interactive graphics/CAD systems. Undo/Redo in collaborative CAD system is also very helpful for collaborative awareness among a group of cooperative designers to eliminate misunderstanding and recover from design error. However, Undo/Redo in collaborative CAD is much more difficult than that in single-user CAD. For an example, a single erroneous operation can be propagated to several remote sites since the concurrency of CAD operations. This paper presents a multi-user Undo/Redo approach to maintain operation intention and collaborative awareness in full distributed collaborative CAD systems. The paper proposes the composition of 3D designing artifacts and adopts a tree-like structure for representing the combination of features/sub-configurations and the dependency relationship among modeling operations. Based on the feature combination hierarchy, a multi-user selective Undo/Redo approach for full replicated collaborative CAD systems is studded. The proposed method uses site identification and state-vector to track the undo operations. Intention preservation and consistency maintenance are both promised with our method.

      • Construction and Reduction Methods of Vulnerability Index System in Power SCADA

        Electric power SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system gradually transforming from a separate private network to an open public network, seriously increases the vulnerability risk in electric power SCADA. In order to assess the vulnerability risk in electric power SCADA system, the paper firstly uses Delphi method and AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) to build an index system of vulnerability risk assessment, to fully represent the vulnerability of electric power SCADA system. As index data of vulnerability risk assessment in power SCADA is characterized by strong relation and high dimensionality, the method of Autoencoder is proposed to reduce dimensionality of index data by representing high-dimensional data in a low dimensional space. Auto encoder method can obtain the optimal initial weight in pre-training and then back-propagate error derivatives adjusting weights with the initial weights to minimize the reconstruction error finally getting the best reconstructed results. The paper conducts simulation experiments about reconstruction error in pre-training and fine-tuning process in MATLAB experimental platform, and the experimental results show that dimensional code received by reducing dimensionality of data can basically fully represent high-dimensional data. The low-dimensional code as input can significantly reduce the complexity in the construction of model of vulnerability risk assessment in Electric power SCADA system in later work.

      • A Robust Digital Watermarking Scheme Based on Bandelet and Image Fusion

        In this paper, a robust digital watermarking scheme is proposed, in which the watermark is embedded several times in different places to improve robustness. First, an original image is transformed into a coefficients matrix through bandeletization. Then the watermark image is embedded into different places of the bandeletization coefficients matrix simultaneously guided by human visual system (HVS). Because the number of non-zero wavelet coefficients have been greatly decreased by bandletization and the most information has been concentrated on some regions, this scheme possessed a stronger robustness against the noise attacks. At last, the watermarked image is reconstructed through inverse bandelet transformation. In the process of extracting watermark image, the watermark image is extracted by using independent component analysis (ICA) and principle component analysis (PCA) and image fusion. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme is possess of a good performance in both imperceptibility and robustness.

        2′-Hydroxycinnamaldehyde ameliorates imiquimod-induced psoriasiform inflammation by targeting PKM2-STAT3 signaling in mice

        2′-Hydroxycinnamaldehyde (HCA), the active component isolated from the stem bark of Cinnamomum cassia , exerts anticancer effects through multiple mechanisms. We recently determined that HCA inhibits signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling in prostate cancer cells. Because STAT3 overactivation has been closely associated with the development of psoriasis, a chronic autoimmune skin disease, we examined whether HCA ameliorates skin lesions in an imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like mouse model. The results showed that intraperitoneal administration of HCA alleviated imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis, epidermal thickening, dermal infiltration of inflammatory cells, and proinflammatory cytokine production. Mechanistically, HCA inhibited pyruvate kinase isozyme M2 and STAT3 signaling, leading to the suppression of T cell activation, Th17 cell differentiation, and keratinocyte hyperproliferation. These results suggest that HCA may be a new treatment for psoriasis and other STAT3-mediated skin disorders, such as infection, inflammation and carcinogenesis.

        Structurally tunable reflective metamaterial polarization transformer based on closed fish-scale structure

        A reflective metamaterial polarization transformer (RMPT) is proposed with closed fish-scale structure for high efficient cross-polarization reflection. The maximum efficiency of cross-polarization reflection for normal incidence is 97.2%. The RMPT maintains good performance for incident angles up to 25, and the RMPT is not restricted to a specific polarization state of the incident wave. Furthermore, the designed RMPT shows excellent structural tunability by optimizing the structural parameters, which makes it userfriendly.
