Cr(VI) is a known toxic heavy metal which is found frequently in many industrial sites. Contaminates soil and ground water with Cr(VI) is a big enviromental concern due to the high toxicity. Permeable Reactive Barrier(PRB)is an innovative remedial technology intensively studied and developed recenty. The most popular PRB material is zero-valent iron which is environmentally favorable and cheap. Scrapped steels and precleaned scrapped steels were tested in this study for Cr(VI). Scrapped steels were precleaned wuth detergent, acetone, hexane.The precleaned scrapped steel showed relatively high reactivity for Cr(VI). The results indicate that the scrapped steel could be used as PRB material after proper pretreatments.

본 논문에서는 초경량 항공기의 엔진 마운트 구조물에 대한 유한요소 해석을 수행하였으며, 구조의 안전성 확보에 중요한 영향을 주는 부분인 복합재료 동체와 엔진 마운트 간의 연결 부위에 대한 해석을 위해 유한요소 프로그램을 작성하였다. 본 연구에 의해 작성된 유한요소 프로그램의 신뢰성을 확인하기 위해 실제로 시편 제작 실험을 실시하여 실험치와 해석치를 비교 검토하였다. The finite element analysis was performed on the ULM's engine mount to verify the structural safety Result showed that proposed engine mount structure has a large margine of safety. Strains and stresses in the vicinity of the joint between a composite fuselage and a metallic engine mount were calculated by the finite element analysis program. Numerical results from the model were compared with the test results. Good agreement was found between experiment and model results.

<P>We describe the development of hollow-type gold nanoparticles (NPs) for the photonic-based imaging and therapy of macrophage cells. The strong light-absorption and light-scattering properties of gold NPs render them to be useful as molecular imaging agents as well as therapeutic moieties. By controlling the geometry of the gold NPs, the optical resonance peak was shifted to around the near-infrared (NIR) region, where light transmission through biological tissue is known to be fairly high. Hollow-type gold NPs modified with dextran were phagocytosed by macrophage cells. Using dark-field microscopy, it was possible to image macrophage cells targeted with NPs. After NIR irradiation, macrophages labeled with NPs were selectively destroyed by the photothermal effect. FACS analysis revealed that the photothermal effect caused principally late apoptosis-related cell death or secondary necrosis. The experimental results showed that hollow-type gold NPs conjugated with dextran could be used not only as optical imaging contrast agents but also as a component of a novel anti-macrophage therapeutic strategy. </P>

<B>Graphic Abstract</B> <P>Multifunctional silica nanocapsules containing magnetic nanoparticles and fluorescent quantum dots with a single surface hole fabricated by a single-step emulsion-mediated process are described. LED Smart Lighting Systems is expected to save energy consumption but not much in real fields. In addition, LED Smart Lighting Systems satisfaction of user convenience is high, but most of the practical energy saving rate does not meet the expectations. For this reason, it has become an obstacle for commercialization by avoiding the design reflection of the new and existing buildings. Therefore, this study tries to figure out why the energy savings do not meet the expectation, and attempts to analyze the actual energy saving method of each element and energy consumption patterns for reliable forecasts of energy savings.

Complaints of HIGH-Ra LED lighting based on dimming control are steadily occurred by the quality degradation due to the luminance deviation. Consequently, constructors and electrical contractors currently avoid the sales and distribution of this lighting. This problem was appeared because the characteristics of each electronic device such as wavelength band, linearity, gain characteristic, off-set and cut-off of the HIGH-Ra LED lighting that CRI value is improved by phosphor or mixed LED light sources are not considered. It can be sufficiently improved by an inspection method in a whole range of dimming level. However, the present inspection methods are only conducted by lighting test, actinography or aging test. Therefore, the paper proposes the dynamic calibration method, considering the functions of dynamic check equipment and interlocking․calibration based on dimming level, for the production quality of the HIGH-Ra LED lighting in order to overcome the disadvantages of the present inspection. This method offers the sequential areal inspection and narrow range auto calibration, to detect the defective parts and analyze the corresponding causes. At the same time, it can improve not only production quality and productivity, but also reduce the inspection time and production costs.

유기전자소자(Organic-TFT 및 Organic-Memory)용 유전체 고분자박막은 높은 유전상수 및 전계강도와 우수한 표면 및 벌크특성을 요구하고 있다. 자체 제작한 13.56[㎒] RF플라즈마 중합장비를 이용하여 정전 결합 플라즈마(CCP) 방법으로 가교된 ppTh(plasma polymerization Thiophene) 박막을 제작하였다. ppTh박막의 유전 및 절연 특성은 알루미늄/ppTh/알루미늄 구조의 콘덴서를 제작하고 측정하였다.
Cerebral venous thrombosis in a patient with Crohn`s disease

Patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) have an elevated risk of venous thromboembolism compared with the general population. The most common sites of venous thromboembolism in IBD patients are the deep veins of the legs, the pulmonary system, and portal and mesenteric veins. However, cerebral venous thrombosis is rarely associated with IBD. This report describes a case of cerebral venous thrombosis in a patient with Crohn’s disease. A 17-year-old girl, diagnosed 4 years earlier with Crohn’s disease, presented with headache and vomiting. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain with venography showed venous thrombosis in the cortical veins, superior sagittal sinus, right transverse sinus, and right internal jugular vein. The patient immediately started anticoagulation therapy with intravenous heparin infusion followed by daily oral rivaroxaban 10 mg. Follow-up imaging after 2 weeks showed resolution of the thrombosis, with recanalization of the cortical veins, superior sagittal sinus, right transverse sinus, and right internal jugular vein. She continued rivaroxaban therapy for 6 months, and remained well, without neurologic sequelae. A high level of concern for cerebral venous thrombosis may be important when treating active IBD patients, because anticoagulation treatment can prevent fatal complications.
