        한국인에서 다변성 D12S391 유전좌의 집단유전학적 연구

        The hypervariable short tandem repeat(STR) locus D12S391 was investigated in a Korean population. A total of 14 alleles were detected by size under denaturing conditions in 517 unrelated individuals. To confirm all of the alleles detected in a Korean population, a total of 34 fragments were sequenced. Prior to allele designation, we constructed the allelic ladders containing 11 alleles sequenced in this study. Allele 18 is the most common with a frequency of 0.281 in Koreans, and one variant allele 19.3 which have been confirmed by sequencing, was detected. The observed heterozygosity, the power of discrimination (PD), and the mean exclusion chance (MEC) for the locus D12S392 is 0.781, 0.946 and 0.652 , respectively. No deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was observed in a Korean population (p=0.557). In the 424 meioses in 105 Korean families confirmed using other 17 STR loci, no mutation was detected in locus D12S391. The STR locus D12S391system is useful both for the analysis identification and parternity.

        We studied insect fauna in the Samchun-impoundment during the period of from September 1997 to August 1998. The total number of insect taxa are composed to 95 species in 86 genera, 39 families and 8 orders in this examination.

      • 질내투여 인정장(人精漿)의 인정자(人精子) 및 면양적혈구에 대한 면역반응 억제작용

        A number of evidence has been accumulated to show that human seminal plasma (HSP) can suppress the immune responeses in vitro and in vivo. Several immunosuppressive factors have been identified from HSP and it has been proposed that these factors play a critical role in preventing sensitization of females to spermantigens after insemination. The purpose of the present study is to answer the q question whether HSI' is able to suppress in vivo immune responses induced by some antigens such as human sperms and sheep red blood cells(SRBC) which are introduced into the vagina of females. In this study the author used an experimental model in which mice were immunized intravaginally with human sperms and SRBC, and delayed-type hypersensitivity reacion (DTH) to these antigens was eva- luated by footpad swelling reaction. Repeated simultaneous intravaginal administrations of HSP with human sperms or SRBC significantly suppressed the DTH but failed to suppress the antibody formation to these antigens. However, intravaginal administration of a high molecular weigt fraction(G― 200 F, greater than 200 KD) which was partially purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, DEAE- cellulose and Sephadex G -200 chromatography from HSP resulted in a significant suppression of DTH as well as antibody formation to SRBC. Furthermore, when various concentrations of G―200 F were ad-ministered intraperitoneally, a dose-dependent suppression of both DTH and antibody formation to SR BC was observed. These results provide the evidence that in vivo immunosuppressive activity of HSP is mediated by a high molecular weight fraction of greater than 200 KD and strongly support the concept that HSP can prevent sensitization of females to sperm antigens after insemination.

      • 이질균속(痢疾菌屬)의 생물학적 특성 및 항균제 내성에 관한 연구 : 1983~1985 1983~1985

        Shigella remains to be an important enteric pathogen in this country for the present. Moreover, most the isolates have become multiple resistant to various antibiotics which used to be drugs of choice for shigellosis. This study was made as an attempt to asses the present stage antibiotic resistance fo Shigella. A total of one hundred and twenty eight of Shigella isolated from patients in Seoul and a few provincial areas between 1983 and 1985 were tested for their resistant to antimicrobial agents. Antibiotic susceptibilites were determined by an agar dilution method. Mu¨ller-Hinton agar were used for the assay of drug restance. Antimicrobial drugs were used amikacin, ampicillin, cephalothn, chiloramphenicol, gentamicin, kanamycin, nalidixic acid, streptomycin and tobramycin. The following results were obtained. 1. All isolates were susceptible to amikacin, gentamicin and tobramycin. 2. Among 128 isolates, 120 strains(92%) were resistant to tetracycline, 118 strains(90%) to streptomycin and 108 strains(80%) to ampiciliin. 3. Thirty six strains were resistant to four drugs, followed by 35 strains resistant to five drugs. However, only one strain was susceptible to all drugs tested. 4. Seventy six strains(59.3%) of 128 isloates were resistant to ampiciliin, chloramphenicol, streptomycin, tetracycline at the same time.

      • 합성 펩티드를 이용한 Interleukin-2수용체 β-Chain에 대한 단일클론항체의 제작

        Hybridoma producing monoclonal antibodies reactive with the ß-chain of interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) were generated from mice immunized with a synthetic pepride of 19 amino acids. The synthetic peptide constitutes strongly hydrophilic region of extracellular domain of the IL-2R molecules(residues 32-50) as revealed by hydrophathy plot analysis. Hybridomas were screened by ELISA using Hut102 cells and the synthetic peptide as antigenic moiety, and by measuring the binding activity of antibodies to the Hut102 cell surface that was monitored by a flow cytometer. The antibodies were further screened by their inhibitory effect against the interaction between IL-2R and interleukin-2(IL-2). Antibodies were further characterized by immunoprecipitation followed by autoradiography to reveal that the antibodies recongnize the 75 KD protein molecules expressed on the Hut 102 cell surface and human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) which confirms the antigenic moiety to be ß-chain of IL-2 recepter molecules.

        The objectives of this study were to study on the somatotype and physical fitness of woman table tennis players. For this purpose the writer surveyed the Heath-Carter Anthropometric somatotype method and physical fitness. The total 26 female athletes were selected and measured. The conclusion of this study were as follows : 1. The correlation coefficient between Endomorphy and power, and Muscular endurance were revealed as the certainly correlation. 2. The correlation coefficient between mesomorphy and muscular strength was revealed as the high correlation, Agility, power turn out certainly correlation. 3. The correlation coefficient between ectomorphy and power was revealed as the certainly correlation.

        백서의 우울모형에서의 칼슘통로 길항제 에타베린(Ethaverine)의 항우울효과

        연구목적: 본 전임상연구에서는 우울증의 두가지 동물모형을 통해 에타베린이 단독 혹은 이미프라민과 병용처치 되었을 때의 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 표준화된 검사법인 강제수영검사를 사용하여 옹성백서에게 에타베린(20mg/kg) 및 이미프라민 (20mg/kg)을 단독 혹은 병용 처치하였을 때의 부동시간의 변화를 관찰하였고, 경도의 만성 스트레스를 3주간 가한 후 4주간 에타베린과 이미프라민을 단독 혹은 병용 처치하였을때의 자당섭취량의 변화를 관찰하였다. 결과: 약물을 1회 단기처치 및 7일간 장기처치한 강제수영검사에서 이미프라민 및 에타베린 단독처치는 대조군에 비하여 부동시간의 단축을 보였고 에타베린은 이미프라민의 부동시간 감소에 대한 증강작용을보였다. 경도의 만성스트레스 실험에서도 3주간의 스트레스로 인하여 감소된 백서의 자당섭취량을 이미 프라민 및 에타베린이 회복시켰으며, 치료초기에 두 약물의 병용처치효과가 두드러졌다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 에타베린이 향우울 효과를 가지고 있음을 시사하며, 삼환계 항우울제인 이미프라민의 항우울효과를 증강시키므로 에타베린의 임상적 활용 가능성을 보여준다. Objectives: This pre-clinical study was performed to assess the effects of ethaverine in the two kinds of behavioral models of depression in rats. Methods: We observed the changes of the immobility time in the froced swimming test and the quantity of sucrose consumed in the chronic mild stress model, using ethaverine(20mg/kg) alone, imipramine(20mg/kg) alone, or ethaverine and imipramine concomitantly. Results: In the forced swimming test, both single treatment and chronic treatment(for 7days) with imipramine or ethaverine significantly reduced the immobility time, and concomitant chronic treatment with ethaverine potentiated the effect of imipramine. In the chronic mild stress model, both imipramine and ethaverine reversed the decreased sucrose consumption induced by 3-week stress and concomitantly treated ethaverine potentiated the effect of imi-pramine in the early phase of treatment. Conclusions: The data suggest that ethaverine can be used alone or concomitantly with other antidepressants in the clinical situation.

        A number of. arboviruses, such as group A (SF, Chik, WEE) and group B (D-2, RSSE, WN) multiply in mammalian cells but some fail to proceduce plaques -in them when grown under an agar overlay. The growth. of the plaque by :SF, Chik, WM, Dengue type 2, RSSE, WN viruses were sonie inhibited :in 5% &im milk in agar but were ,favourably .;influenced by addition -of DEAF-dextran in optimal .concentration, 50 to :100: .14g/nil to . agar.. Addition of rprotamine sulfate in optimal concentration, 50 to 100 pg/ml, also increased the plaque formation by.SF,, ck, WEE and WN viruses tested. The addition of these chemical reagents in optimal concentrations do not inhibit plaque sizes and number, those plaques .by some viruses bear ;polymorphic .ppearances.
