      • The Antioxidant Effect of the Rhaponticum uniflorum Extracts on the Oxidative Stress in H₂O₂ induced Human Keratinocytes

        In this study, To investigate the antioxidant activities of Rhaponticum uniflorum extracts (RUE), we assessed scavenging activities on DPPH, ABTS radicals, and reducing power. The DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities (SC50) of RUE were 96.97±1.19 μg/mL and 31.26±0.13 μ g/mL, respectively, and the reducing power significantly increased dose-dependent manner. To study the antioxidant effecters of RUE in H₂O₂ induced human keratinocytes, expression of Nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) were determined by Western blot and qRT-PCR. RUE induced the expression of HO-1, a critical target enzyme of Nrf2, in a concentration-dependent manner. The expression of HO- 1 mRNA was also induced in H₂O₂-treated HaCaT cells but no significant difference in the level of HO-1 mRNA was observed. Taken together, these results suggest that RUE may be useful as a potential ingredient for anti-aging products.

        The effect of Ni loading andition of promoters such as KCI, NaCl, CaO and MgO was studied on the CO₂reforming over Ni/TiO₂catalysts in a fixed bed flow reactor at atmospheric pressure. 10wt% Ni loaded catalyst showed optimum activity. The effect of promoters on the catalytic activity was Ca>Mg>K>Na in order. Adding promoter could be suggested that the reverse Boudouard reaction occur.

        불완전 전뇌 허혈후 소생의 백서 모델을 이용한 재관류 뇌혈류량과 허혈성 뇌조직 손상도와의 관계

        Background: Experimental data indicate that low-flow reperfusion following prolonged cardiocirculatory arrest may aggravate early cerebral microcirculatory reperfusion disorders. We investigated the influence of cerebral reperfusion flow change to the ischemic histopathologic damage of brain tissue after incomplete forebrain ischemia in rats. Materials and method: Anesthetized Sprague-Dawley rats were undergone ligation of both internal carotid artery by microvascular clamp for 10 minutes. After release of the clamp, reperfusion was started with several different flow levels (0, 10, 20, 30, 50, and 100%) of internal carotid artery comparing to pre-clamping phase using flowmeter. After 15minutes of reperfusion, rat brains were prepared by perfusion-fixation with 3% formaldehyde. Under light microscopic examination of Hematoxylin-Eosin stained tissue slide, histopathologic damage was examined at cortex, putamen, and hippocampus regions. Categorical hisotopathologic damage scores were derived in each regions by manual counts of ischemic neurons. Result: The histopathologic damage scores were 0, 10.2±0.5, 7.6±1.5, 5.9±1.4, 5.0±2.8, 3.5±0.7, and 1.0±0.0 in control, 0, 10,20, 30, 50, and 100% reperfusion groups, respectively(p<0.05). Conclusion: Our results showed significant increment of brain histopathologic damage scores along with decreasing amount of cerebral reperfusion flow after incomplete forebrain ischemia. We believe restoration of reperfusion flow to pre-ischemic level would be a critical component in attenuation of brain ischemic damage.

        하악전돌증의 악교정수술후의 회귀성향에 관한 연구

        저자등은 악교정수술후에 발생하는 희귀성향에 관한 연구를 위하여 계명대학교 의과대학 치과학교실에 내원하여 하악전돌증으로 진단되어 하악후퇴술을 받은 7명의 환자를 대상으로 하여 수술전, 후의 경조직의 변화를 계측, 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 수술직후 Gn(H)는 평균 8.2mm 후방이동되었고 SNB는 평균 4.4 감소하였다. SNB는 장기간 경과후 수술직후보다 평균 0.9 증가되었으며 21.1%의 희귀율을 나타내었다. Gn(H)는 장기간 경과후 수술직후보다 6례에서 평균 1.3mm 전방희귀되었으며 나머지 1례에서 4mm 후방이동되었다. SN-MP 및 gonial angle 은 장기간 경과후 수술 직후보다 각각 평균 2.2 ,5.8 증가되었다. Gn(V)는 장기간 경과후 수술직후와 비교하여 변화가 없는 경우가 4례, 증가 2례, 감소 1례로 나타났다. 상하악 중절치는 장기간 경과후 수술직후보다 각각 순측 혹은 설측으로 경사되었다. This study was undertaken to examine relapse tendency after mandibular setback. Seven cases were selected from patients who underwent orthodontic treatment and mandibular setback surgery in our department. The serial lateral cephalogram of each patient were obtained and analyzed: The result were as follows; 1. By operation, Gn(H) moved backward (average 8.2mm), SNB angle decreased(average 4.4˚). 2. When the long term follow-up measurements were compared with the immediate postop, mesurements. ·SNB angle increased on average by 0.9˚and relapse tate was 21.1%. ·GN(H) returned foward on average by 1.3mm in 6 cases, moved backward by 4mm in 1 case. ·SN-MP and gonial angle increased on average by 2.2˚, 5.8˚respectively. ·Gn(V) stayed unchanged in 4 cases, increased in 2 cases, decreased in 1 case. ·Upper and lower incisors slightly moved labially or lingually.

        축력과 양단 대칭모멘트를 받는 스테인리스 각형강관 기둥의 좌굴내력에 관한 실험적 연구

        This study is a series of experimental investigation on the buckling strengths of eccentrically compressed cold-formed stainless steel square hollow section columns. The principal parameters in this study are slenderness ratios(λ=30, 50, 70) and magnitude of eccentricity e(0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10cm) on the symmetrical end-moment. Objectives of this paper are to obtain the maximum loads by performing an experimental work and to compare the experimental behaviors with analytical results. The ultimate buckling strength of square section members are evaluated by a numerical method in accordance with the bending moment-axial force(M-P) interaction curves. The behavior of each specimen is displayed in the form of moment-angle(M-θ) relationship. The numerically obtained ultimate buckling interaction curves of beam-columns showed a reasonably good agreement with the available experimental results.

        편심 압축력을 받는 스테인리스 원형강관 기둥의 곡률형상에 따른 좌굴내력에 관한 실험적 연구

The principal parameters in this study are slenderness ratios( λ=30, 50, 70) and magnitude of eccentricity e(0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10㎝) on the direction of end moment. The direction of end-moment means 3 different bending moment distributions. Objectives this study are to obtain the maximum loads and moments by performing an experimental work and to compare the experimental behaviors with the design standard curves, AIK-LSD and AISC-LRFD, AIJ-LSD, SIJ-ASD curves. The ultimate buckling strengths and bending moments of circular section members are evaluated by a method in accordance with design standard curves. Therefore this paper attempts design standard for the use of these stainless steel columns as structural compression members. The numerically obtained ultimate buckling strengths and bending moments design standard curves of beam columns show a reasonably good agreement with the available experimental results.

The ultimate buckling strength of CHS members are evaluated by a numerical method in accordance with the axial force-bending moment(P-M) interaction curves. The behavior of each specimen is displayed in the form of moment angle(M- θ) relationship. The numerically obtained ultimate buckling interaction curves of beam columns show a reasonably good agreement with the available experimental results of slenderness ratios(L_(k)/r = 30, 50). But experimental results of slenderness ratios 70 were below M-P interaction curve.

      • 닭의 능력검정정보 통계분석시스템 개발

        This study was carried out to develop RSTASystem (Random Sample Test Analyses System) and internet homepage for providing chick random sample test infermation to rhick breeders and farmers. RSTA-System is the applied statistical package sofhvare which can be used to analyse the random sample test data collected since 1985 by the chick random sample test station in Ansung. Microsoft Visual Basic(V6.0) was used for developing RSTASystem, and the system was composed of 4 main menus and 10 sub-menus. Random sam-ple test information acquisited by RSTASystem could be provided through the internet homepage (agis.nlri.go,kr/www.poultry.or.kr). Major contents are as fnllows : introduction and schedule of random sample tesL summary reports from 1910 to 1999 for tapers and broilers, full reports from 1990 to 1999 for layers and broilers, down-load of RSTASystem fnes and database file. Users could acquire random sample test data and relevant information easily and quitkly through this system, and the information would be applied for selecting chick strains and producing of making more profits.
