<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Conducting polymeric polyaniline hollow spheres (PANI-HS) were fabricated and evaluated as a smart electro-stimuli responsive material, whose both special structure of shorter diffusion length promotes the electron transfer and specific surface area is greatly amplified than solid spheres. The monodisperse polystyrene (PS) seeds were initially synthesized by a facile surfactant-free emulsion polymerization, and then the monomer aniline was adsorbed and polymerized on the sulfonated PS spheres to form the PS/polyaniline (PANI) composites, allowing the PS cores to be removed by a solvent extraction later. The morphology and shell thickness were examined using both scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy affirmed chemical structure of pure PS, PS/PANI and PANI-HS. The dielectric spectra were further analyzed for their electrorheological (ER) characteristics with LCR meter. The homogeneous semi-conducting PANI-HS based ER fluid (10 vol%) exhibited typical ER characteristics according with the conductivity model based on a slope of 1.5.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Hollow polyaniline (PANI-HS) was adopted as an electrorheological (ER) material. </LI> <LI> Its special structure of shorter diffusion length promotes electron transfer. </LI> <LI> PS cores in PS/PANI composite were removed by solvent extraction. </LI> <LI> ER fluid showed typical ER characteristics with a slope of 1.5. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>Conducting polyaniline hollow submicron-sized spheres (PANI-HS) were fabricated and evaluated as a smart electro-stimuli responsive material. ON THE SUBDIFFERENTIAL OF A NONLINEAR COMPLEMENTARITY PROBLEM FUNCTION WITH NONSMOOTH DATA
Gao, Yan The Korean Society for Computational and Applied M 2009 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.27 No.1
In this paper, a system of nonsmooth equations reformulated from a nonlinear complementarity problem with nonsmooth data is studied. The formulas of some subdifferentials for related functions in this system of nonsmooth equations are developed. The present work can be applied to Newton methods for solving this kind of nonlinear complementarity problem.

DIFFERENCE OF TWO SETS AND ESTIMATION OF CLARKE GENERALIZED JACOBIAN VIA QUASIDIFFERENTIAL
Gao, Yan 한국전산응용수학회 2001 The Korean journal of computational & applied math Vol.8 No.2
The notion of difference for two convex compact sets in Rⁿ, proposed by Rubinov et al, is generalized to Rm×n. A formula of the difference for the two sets, which are convex hulls of a finite number of points, is developed. In the light of this difference, the relation between Clarke generalized Jacobian and quasidifferential, in the sense of Demyanov and Rubinov, for a nonsnooth function, is established. Based on the relation, the method of estimating Clarke generalized Jacobian via quasidifferential for a certain class of function, is presented. Recommendation Algorithm in Social Network Based on Integrated Assessment Value
Gao Yan 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.6
Considering the probability matrix decomposition model, direct trust and indirect trust, trust propagation, as well as similarity between users and other factors, this paper proposes a new recommendation algorithm which fully taps the trust mechanism, and takes into account the similarity between users. Firstly, a new trust matrix is obtained based on the trust value of social network. Then all the trust relationships are integrated into the recommendation algorithm through the RSTE model. Finally, the prediction score is produced and the recommended list is given. Experimental results on public data sets show that this recommendation algorithm has obvious feasibility and superiority.

Unsteady flow characteristic and film cooling effect in the blade trailing edge cutback region are numerically investigated using DES (detached eddy simulation) method at three blowing ratios, four lip thickness ratios and three rib geometries. With the experimental data, reliability and accuracy of the numerical methods are validated. The results indicate that, compared with RANS (Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes) equations solutions, the DES method has a superior accuracy in predicting the film cooling effectiveness on trailing-edge cutback. The lip thickness has a pronounced effect on shedding vortex scale downstream the slot. As the lip thickness ratio decreases, the film cooling effect on trailing edge cutback is improved. Compared with the line ribs, the arrangement of pin fin ribs enhances the uniformity of coolant coverage on trailing edge cutback along lateral direction. However, with different types of rib, the film cooling effectiveness on the trailing edge cutback is mainly determined by the stable cooling flow structures and mixing effect between mainstream and coolant. The development of vortex system downstream the slot is significantly affected by the blowing ratio, which in turn influences the film cooling effect on trailing edge cutback.
