왕 웨이밍은 그의 영화 <섹스어필>에서 매미라는 영화적 은유와 연인 관계를 매우 풍부하게 표현하고 있다. 마치 바이바이에 대한 무홍의 사랑 노래처럼 매미들은 짝짓기를 위해서 구애의 노래를 부른다. 클라리넷 음악은 PTSD와 스톡홀름 증후군으로 인한 바이바이의 침묵을 대변하고, 여성의 질과 같은 강당에서 바이바이는 버자이너 모놀로그를 재현하고 있다. 리 렌팡은 바이바이의 클라리넷 음악을 진정한 사랑의 부족함이라고 지적한다. 이는 그녀가 아버지의 부재로 인해 일렉트라 콤플렉스라는 고통을 받고 있기 때문이다. 그녀는 아버지와 같은 중년 남자의 이미지를 좋아하고, 따라서 그를 향한 그녀의 사랑은 진정한 사랑일 수 없다고 믿는다. 병원 유리화병에 있던 리 렌팡의 보라색 꽃, 질과 같은 강당에서 자신의 권위 있는 존재, 바이바이의 출혈은 리 렌팡 성기의 삽입으로 인한 강간을 묘사하고 있다. 강간, 간통, 사이버 괴롭힘은 윤리적 규범과 법규를 나타내는 메트로놈이 멈춘 이후 벌어진다. 왜냐하면 그들은 법적 또는 도덕적 통제로부터 벗어났기 때문이다. 리 렌팡은 그의 죽음에 앞서 보라색 꽃을 향해 무릎을 꿇음으로써 사죄를 상징적으로 표현한다. 리 렌팡의 죽음은 법원에서 법률적 병목현상으로부터의 바이바이를 구원하고, 그녀로 하여금 무홍의 사랑을 재고하도록 만든다. 그래서 매미의 구애 노래는 다시 읊조리게 되고, 바이바이는 그들 사이의 처녀막 같은 커튼이 병원에서 제거 된 후 무홍과 재회하게 된다. 이 영화의 후반부에 나오는 바이바이의 두 번째 출혈은 처녀성의 상실과 무홍과의 성적 만족감을 은유적으로 보여주고 있다. Wang Weiming enriches his film, Sex Appeal, with cinematic metaphors of cicadas and romantic relations. Cicadas sing courting songs for mates, just like Muhong"s love song for Baibai. The clarinet music replaces Baibai"s taciturnity, which results from the PTSD and Stockholm syndrome, and represents Baibai"s vagina monologue in the vagina-like auditorium and the “chilling effect” in court. Li Renfang points out Baibai"s clarinet music lacks true love and emotions because Baibai is a father-less daughter, suffers from Electra Complex, adores the image of a powerful father-like middle-age man, and thus has no true love for him. Li Renfang"s purple flowers in Baibai"s glass vase at the hospital, his authoritative existence in the vagina-like auditorium, and Baibai"s first-time bleeding at the dorm stand for the rape victim"s defloration and the insertion of Li Renfang"s penis into Baibai"s vagina. The rape, adultery, and cyber bullies to blame the rape victim take place after the metronome, which represents ethical norms and legal rules, stops working because they are out of legal or moral control. Li Renfang kneels down and kowtows to the purple flowers before his death symbolizes his antemortem apology. Li Renfang"s death releases Baibai from the legal bottleneck in court and allows her to reconsider and accept Muhong"s love; therefore, cicadas" courtship songs restart, Baibai reunites with Muhong after the hymen-like curtain between them is removed in the hospital, and Baibai"s second-time bleeding scene at the end of this film implies her metaphorical defloration and sexual gratification with Muhong after her “bed-time” contact with him at the emergency room.

Cav3.2 T-Type Ca2+ Channel-Dependent Activation of ERK in Paraventricular Thalamus Modulates Acid-Induced Chronic Muscle Pain.

<P>Treatments for chronic musculoskeletal pain, such as lower back pain, fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain syndrome, remain inadequate because of our poor understanding of the mechanisms that underlie these conditions. Although T-type Ca(2+) channels (T-channels) have been implicated in peripheral and central pain sensory pathways, their role in chronic musculoskeletal pain is still unclear. Here, we show that acid-induced chronic mechanical hyperalgesia develops in Ca(v)3.1-deficient and wild-type but not in Ca(v)3.2-deficient male and female mice. We also show that T-channels are required for the initiation, but not maintenance, of acid-induced chronic muscle pain. Blocking T-channels using ethosuximide prevented chronic mechanical hyperalgesia in wild-type mice when administered intraperitoneally or intracerebroventricularly, but not intramuscularly or intrathecally. Furthermore, we found an acid-induced, Ca(v)3.2 T-channel-dependent activation of ERK (extracellular signal-regulated kinase) in the anterior nucleus of paraventricular thalamus (PVA), and prevention of the ERK activation abolished the chronic mechanical hyperalgesia. Our findings suggest that Ca(v)3.2 T-channel-dependent activation of ERK in PVA is required for the development of acid-induced chronic mechanical hyperalgesia.</P>

후앙유산, 루오유주, 헤신밍이 공동으로 쓴 시나리오 〈새로운 달 The New Moon〉은 2011년 2월 황금추수상 시나리오 부분에 노미네이트되었다. 그리고 후앙유산은 2016년 5월 중국여성영화제에서 〈인생의 맛 Taste of Life〉로 영화제 오프닝을 장식했다. 이 장편영화는 루오유주의 자서전적인 인생 이야기를 여성주의적 관점에서 후앙유산과 헤신밍이 영화적으로 표현한 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문은 이 영화에서 나타난 이름의 은유적 의미를 분석하고 있으며, 또한 영화에서 여성적 글쓰기와 여성으로 말하다를 구체적으로 설명하고 있다. 후앙유산은 2016년 5월 중국여성영화제에서 〈인생의 맛 Taste of Life〉로 영화제 오프닝을 장식했다. 이 장편영화는 루오유주의 자서전적인 인생 이야기를 여성주의적 관점에서 후앙유산과 헤신밍이 영화적으로 표현한 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문은 이 영화에서 나타난 이름의 은유적 의미를 분석하고 있으며, 또한 영화에서 여성적 글쓰기와 여성으로 말하다를 구체적으로 설명하고 있다. The screenplay Xinyue (新月 The New Moon), coauthored by Huang Yushan (黃玉珊Huang Yu-shan), Luo Youzhu (羅友竹 Luo You-chu), and He Xinming (何昕明 Ho Hsin-ming), was nominated for best screenplay in the Golden Harvest Award in February 2011, and Huang Yushan turned it into Baiwei rensheng (百味人生 Taste of Life), the opening film of the China Women’s Film Festival in May 2016. This feature film is Huang Yushan and He Xinming’s cinematic dramatization of Luo Youzhu’s autobiographical life story in a female-oriented point of view. This article aims to unveil metaphorical meanings of names and to highlight the cinematic écriture féminine and parler-femme in the story plot.

Metaphorical Names in Feng Xiaogang’s I Am Not Madame Bovary

펭 샤오강(Feng Xiaogang)의 <아부시반금련>(2016)은 리우 쩐윈(Liu Zhenyun)의 작품을 원작으로 한 영화다. 여성 주인공인 리 설련(Li Xuelian)의 두 번째 임신과 불법 난임 치료를 숨기기 위해 남편과 거짓으로 이혼을 하고 이에 따른 소송 과정을 다루고 있다. 리 설련의 남편 진 유헤(Qin Yuhe)는 두 번째 결혼과 불륜을 숨기기 위해 거짓 이혼을 진짜 이혼한 것처럼 바꾸어버린다. 그는 리 설련을 폄하하며, 그녀를 기나긴 소송전으로 이끌었다. 그리고 그의 파트너인 판 진랸(Pan Jinlian)과 결혼전 처녀성을 잃은 리 설련과 비교하기 시작했다. 여기서 판 진랸은 서구에서 마담 보바리(Madame Bovary)와 같은 역할로 전통적인 중국 포르노그라피에서 비도덕적이고 유혹적인 악녀 역할을 하고 있다. 리 설련의 소송은 바람직하지 못한 것을 바로잡는데 있다. 리 설련은 모든 사람들이 불륜을 저지른 판 진랸과 전통적인 규범에서 함께 비교되는 것을 막고 싶은 심정임을 강조하고 있다. Deriving from Liu Zhenyun’s (劉震雲) screenplay, Feng Xiaogang’s Wo bushi Pan Jinlian (我不是潘金蓮literal translation: I Am Not Pan Jinlian; Westernized translation: I Am Not Madame Bovary) portrays the story of the female protagonist Li Xuelian’s (李雪蓮) fake divorce to hide her second-time pregnancy and illegal embryo. Li Xuelian’s husband, Qin Yuhe (秦玉河), turns the fake divorce into a true separation because of his extramarital love affairs and second marriage. He also denigrates Li Xuelian, wrongly accuses her, and compares her to Pan Jinlian (潘金蓮a notorious role of immoral and seductive wife in traditional Chinese pornography, similar to Madame Bovary in Western literature) by taking advantage of Li Xuelian’s loss of virginity in her pre-marital romantic relation. Li Xuelian’s litigation aims to rectify the injustice. She would like everybody to understand that she should not have been compared to the pornographic protagonist Pan Jinlian in classical canons.

Metaphorical Sounds of Classical and Jazz Music in Sex Appeal

대만 영화감독인 왕 웨이밍의 〈섹스 어필〉은 실제 사건으로 한 대학교수가 자신의 여학생을 강간한 사건을 다루고 있다. 이 사건을 영화화하는 과정에서, 대만 국립 타이퉁대학교 음악학 대학원으로 실제 대학을 변경했다. 이 영화에서 클래식과 재즈 매우 생생한 은유를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 <섹스 어필>에서 클래식 음악의 메타포를 분석하는데 있다. 이 영화는 4개의 음악적 은유를 내포하고 있다. 첫째, 리렌팡이 등장할 때 연주된 구스타프 말러(1860~1911)와 레오나르드 번스타인(1918~1990)의 음악. 둘째, 바이바이와 그녀의 악기인 클라리넷. 셋째, 바이바이 엄마와 그녀의 악기인 피아노. 마지막으로 리렌팡이 바이바이를 강간할 때 연주된 델로니오스 몽크의 재즈 음악을 예로 들 수 있다. Taiwanese filmmaker Wang Weiming’s (王維明) Sex Appeal (寒蟬效應;不能說的夏天) derives from a true story of a male professor’s rape of his female student. For the cinematizing of the story, the setting was shifted to the Graduate Institute of Musicology at National Taitung University, Taiwan. Classical and Jazz music elements in this film, therefore, serve as vivid metaphors. This article aims to analyze metaphors of classical music in Sex Appeal, decoding at least four categories of classical music metaphors: first, the classical music of Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) and Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) when Li Renfang appears; second, Baibai and her musical instrument, the clarinet; third, Baibai’s mother and her musical instrument, the piano; and fourth, Thelonious Monk’s jazz music during Li Renfang’s rape of Baibai.

Text Classification on Social Network Platforms Based on Deep Learning Models

The natural language on social network platforms has a certain front-to-back dependency in structure, and the direct conversion of Chinese text into a vector makes the dimensionality very high, thereby resulting in the low accuracy of existing text classification methods. To this end, this study establishes a deep learning model that combines a big data ultra-deep convolutional neural network (UDCNN) and long short-term memory network (LSTM). The deep structure of UDCNN is used to extract the features of text vector classification. The LSTM stores historical information to extract the context dependency of long texts, and word embedding is introduced to convert the text into low-dimensional vectors. Experiments are conducted on the social network platforms Sogou corpus and the University HowNet Chinese corpus. The research results show that compared with CNN + rand, LSTM, and other models, the neural network deep learning hybrid model can effectively improve the accuracy of text classification.

Clinical Study of Thalidomide Combined with Dexamethasone for the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma

Objective: To investigate the relationship between the efficacy and safety of different doses of thalidomide (Thal) plus dexamethasone (Dex) as the initial therapy in elderly patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM). Methods: Clinical data of 28 elderly patients with newly diagnosed MM who underwent the TD regimen as the initial therapy were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into two groups according to the maximal sustained dose of Thal: lower dose (group A) and higher dose (group B). The overall response rate (ORR), progression free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and adverse events (AES) were compared between the two groups. Results: A total of 28 patients were followed up with a median of 18 months. The ORR was 60.1%. The median response time and PFS were 2.0 and 17.0 months, respectively. The mean sustained dose of Thal in group B was significantly higher than group A (292.9 mg v 180.4 mg, P=0.01). There was no significantly difference in ORR (57.1% v 64.3%, P=1.00) and PFS (9.63months v 17.66 months, P=0.73) between groups A and B. During the follow up, only five patients died (<40%) and, therefore, median OS values were not available. It is estimated, however, that the mean survival time in the two groups was 35.6 and 33.4 months (P>0.05), respectively. All of the patients tolerated the treatment well. The incidence of AES in patients with a grading above 3 in group B was significantly higher than in group A (P=0.033). Conclusions: The TD regimen results in a high response rate and manageable AES as the initial therapy in elderly patients with MM. TD should be considered as the front line regimen for the treatment of elderly patients with MM in areas with financial constraints. The clinical response can be achieved at a low dose Thal with minimal toxicity.

Student Teachers’ Reflections on the Use of Drama in Education to Motivate Young Children’s Science Play

This study explored student teachers’ reflections on the use of drama in education (DIE) to motivate young children’s science play during a course, “creative science activity design for young children,” at a teacher development program in southern Taiwan. The participants comprised 21 student teachers who took the course taught by both researchers. Participants designed science play activities using DIE strategies and implemented the a for a group of preschool children. The data sources employed in this study were observations, interviews, and collected documents. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The findings revealed that the DIE strategies adopted by the student teachers included warm-up, improvisation, and story roleplaying. The results indicated that the student-teachers considered drama to have aroused the children’s motivation to engage in science play. Advantages and challenges relating to the application of DIE strategies in science play were presented. Suggestions for future implementation of and research on DIE strategies in science play are presented herein.
