      • Design of Query Reformulation Engine in Data Access and Integration System

        This paper introduces three core modules of query reformulation engine, mapping document, query reformulation module, and statement conversion module. Mapping document is an XML document that keeps the mapping information between local data source and related data sources; using mapping document, applications could find data sources that have mapping relationship with its local data source. The query reformulation module reformulates the query statements submitted by users to local data resource to query statements to all data sources that have mapping relationship with local data resource. The statement conversion module converts XPath statements to OQL statements that are supported by OGSA-DQP; through OGSA-EDAI in the bottom layer, the access result to the data sources could be obtained. When a user submits an XPath statement to OGSA-DQP, it calls the query reformulation module, which first checks the mapping document to find information of other data sources, then expands and reformulates this XPath statement into query statements that are suitable for the mapped data sources. Afterward, the statement conversion module converts the reformulated XPath statements into OQL statements and returns to OGSA-DQP, which then performs the query operation.

        Conceptual design of OFE for the elderly using user-centered method incorporating Tai Chi

        Many studies have proved that Outdoor Fitness Equipment (OFE), as a kind of health and fitness product, plays an important role in fitness life and helps to improve the quality of life in an aging society. The special fitness equipment for the elderly has great development value. User-centered design (UCD)focuses on user demands, and the design advantages in product development are obvious. Based on the analysis of the concept of special products for the elderly, this paper used the UCD method to investigate and analyze the fitness demand information of the elderly, combined the physical characteristics of the elderly and the willingness to choose the fitness method, and integrated the Taichi exercise into the fitness function of the fitness equipment. Then, we got eight pieces of fitness equipment concept and use of Likert to evaluate the concept, the results showed that the OFE concept for the elderly using the UCD method has been evaluated by users with higher satisfaction.

      • Quasi-static test of the precast-concrete pile foundation for railway bridge construction

        Precast concrete elements in accelerated bridge construction (ABC) extends from superstructure to substructure, precast pile foundation has proven a benefit for regions with fragile ecological environment and adverse geological condition. There is still a lack of knowledge of the seismic behavior and performance of the precast pile foundation. In this study, a 1/8 scaled model of precast pile foundation with elevated cap is fabricated for quasi-static test. The failure mechanism and responses of the precast pile-soil interaction system are analyzed. It is shown that damage occurs primarily in precast pile-soil interaction system and the bridge pier keeps elastic state because of its relatively large cross-section designed for railways. The vulnerable part of the precast pile with elevated cap is located at the embedded section, but no plastic hinge forms along the pile depth under cyclic loading. Hysteretic curves show no significant strength degradation but obvious stiffness degradation throughout the loading process. The energy dissipation capacity of the precast pile-soil interaction system is discussed by using index of the equivalent viscous damping ratio. It can be found that the energy dissipation capacity decreases with the increase of loading displacement due to the unyielding pile reinforcements and potential pile uplift. It is expected to promote the use of precast pile foundation in accelerated bridge construction (ABC) of railways designed in seismic regions.

      • The Study of XML Functional Dependency and Multi-Valued Dependency and Inference Rules Set

        This paper discusses and defines XML functional dependency and XML multi-valued dependency, making the formal definition of XML functional dependency and XML multi-valued dependency and further defines the XML-trivial functional dependency and multi-valued dependency. It defines the logical implication, base closures and minimal dependence and gives the set of inference rules that effectiveness and completeness are proved when functional dependency and multi-valued dependency exist simultaneously.

      • Seismic isolation of railway bridges using a self-centering pier

        Earthquakes cause severe damages to bridge structures, and rocking isolation of piers has become a superior option for the seismic protection of bridges during earthquakes. A seismic isolation method with free rocking mode is proposed for railway bridge piers with medium height. Experimental and numerical analysis are conducted to evaluate the seismic performance of the rocking-isolated bridge pier. Shaking table test is carried out with a scaled model by using three strong input earthquake records. The measured data includes displacement, acceleration and time history response of the pier-top and the bending moment of the pier-bottom. Test results show that the expected uplift and rocking of the isolated pier occur under strong earthquakes and the rocking-isolated pier has self-centering capacity. Slight damage appears at the collision surface between pier and base due to pier uplift, while there is no damage in the pier body. The bending moment of pier-bottom is less affected by the spectrum of input ground motions. The two-spring model is provided to simulate the isolated pier with free rocking mode under earthquakes. A seismic response analysis model for the rocking-ioslated pier is established with the assistance of OpenSees platform. The simulated results agree well with the measured results by shaking table test. Therefore, the seismic isolation method with a self-centering pier is worthy of promotion for railway bridges in high seismic risk regions.

      • Research on the Electronic Commerce Market Survey Based on Normalization Kernel Principal Component Analysis

        As a new kind of consumption mode, the online group buying is familiar to consumers and many consumers adopt this new consumption mode. We can conclude online consumption as one of the electronic commerce. Electronic commerce is known as utilization of computer technique, network technique and telecommunication technique to achieve the entire electronic commerce (business transactions) process electronically, digitally and networked. From the view of the consumption patterns, the online group buying(so called electronic commerce) can be divided into the simple online shopping mode and the mode which combine the online shopping and the entity shopping (that is, O2O mode). Though the domestic E-commerce industry starts later, it develops very quickly. However, the unbalanced development among the different regions results the imbalance of the online group buying market development. Therefore, it is necessary to survey the online group buying market. In this paper, we put forward an improved principal component analysis method- normalization principal component analysis method. This method transforms the negative index and the neutral index into the positive index. And it also transforms the positive index that the index value exists negative values into the index value that the positive indexes are all the positive values. Then it can score these indexes. The experimental results show that the method is feasible and effective.

        Seismic performance and design of bridge piers with rocking isolation

        Seismic isolation technology has a wide application to protect bridges from earthquake damage, a new designed bridge pier with seismic isolation are provided for railways in seismic regions of China. The pier with rocking isolation is a self-centering system under small and moderate earthquakes, and the unbonded prestressed tendons are used to prevent overturning under strong earthquakes. A numerical model based on pseudo-static testing results is presented to evaluate the seismic performance of isolation bridge piers, and is validated by the shaking table test. It is found that the rocking response and the loss of prestressing for the bridge pier increase with the increase of earthquake intensity. Besides, the intensity and spectral characteristics of input ground motion have great influence on displacement of the top and bottom of the bridge pier, while have less influence on the bending moment of the pier bottom. Experimental and numerical results show that the rocking-isolated piers presented in this study have good seismic performance, and it provides an alternative way for the railway bridge in the regions with high occurrence of earthquakes. Therefore, we provide the detailed procedures for seismic design of the rocking-isolated bridge pier, and a case study of the seismic isolation design with rocking piers is carried out to popularize the seismic isolation methods.

        We report the annotation and analysis of the draft genome sequence of Brassica rapa accession Chiifu-401-42, a Chinese cabbage. We modeled 41,174 protein coding genes in the B. rapa genome, which has undergone genome triplication. We used Arabidopsis thaliana as an outgroup for investigating the consequences of genome triplication, such as structural and functional evolution. The extent of gene loss (fractionation) among triplicated genome segments varies, with one of the three copies consistently retaining a disproportionately large fraction of the genes expected to have been present in its ancestor. Variation in the number of members of gene families present in the genome may contribute to the remarkable morphological plasticity of Brassica species. The B. rapa genome sequence provides an important resource for studying the evolution of polyploid genomes and underpins the genetic improvement of Brassica oil and vegetable crops.
