      • Clinical and Experimental Study on the Law of Treating Psoriasis Vulgaris Based on the Differential Diagnosis in Traditional Chinese Medicine

Proceedings of International Symposium on East-West Medicine, Seoul. 36-43, 1999. -This article is to study the law of treating Psoriasis Vulgaris based on the differential dignosis in TCM from theoretical, clinical and experimental aspects with the theory of TCM and TCM combined with Western Medicine, and to explore effective recipes for it. The study showed the accumulation of heat toxin was the pathological base of disease. Blood stasis and heat accoumulation was the chief pathological change during its nosogenic course. Blood deficiency and wind dryness was the main aspect of transformation at the end of it, wind veil ran through its whole pathologic course. Based on this, the disease was differentiated into three types:the type of heat toxin and win overabundance, the type of blood stasis and wind heat, the type of blood deficiency and wind dryness. The decorations were drawn up to remove toxin and expel wind, promote blood circulation and expel wind, nourish blood and expel wind. The above decoctions were used in 88 cases, and 36 cases as control were treated with Yin Xie-Ling Chong Ji. According to the clinical effect of each group and the experimental examination among different groups, the result showed the experimental group were better than the control group on the curative and remarkable rate, the total effective rate, the improvement in hemodynamics and regulation of organism immunity, statistics suggested there was significant difference. The index of blood rheology in the type of blood stasis and wind heat was higher than that of other two groups with significant difference. The experiment showed the decoction of the experimental groups can improve erythrocyte membrane fluidity, inhibit lipid peroxydasis and improve parakeratiosis and hyperkeratosis of epidermis.

      • 사과 쓰가루의 과대지가 과일의 특성에 미치는 영양

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of bourse shoots on the fruit growth and development, mineral content and quality of apples. Three hundred bourse shoots bearing fruits were selected from 10 trees randomly in the experimental orchard of Chonnam National University, Naju, Southwestern Korea. Bourse shoot length and fruit diameter were measured at twice on July 20 and August 20 of 2001. Harvested fruits were divided into 6 groups according to bourse shoot length; 0㎝, 11 to 20㎝, 21 to 30㎝, 31 to 40㎝, and longer than 41㎝. Fruit characteristics such as (soluble solid content, flesh firmness and acidity) were measures just after the harvest. The contents of Ca, Mg and K were analyzed of fruit peel, flesh and core tissues. Most bourse shoots stopped growing after late June, while water-sprouting shoots stopped after late July. Results showed that fruit L/D ratio was higher when bourse shoots were 31 to 40㎝ in length. Especially soluble solid content and fruit firmness were higher in the fruits of bourse shoot 21 to 30㎝ in length. Calcium contents of the fruits also were higher in flesh and skin tissues when length of bourse shoots was 21 to 30㎝, while no significant differences were observed in other mineral contents.

      • pH와 온도가 배(Pyrus pyrifolia)의 화분발아와 화분관신장에 미치는 영향

        During blooming period, low temperature caused fruit set to significantly decrease in pear in terms of poor pollination and fertilization. This study was carried out to determine that pollen germination and pollen tube growth could be affected by the conditions of temperature and pH. Dehydrated pollen grains of 'Chuhwang' pear were cultured for 2 hours at various temperature settings (15, 20, 25 and 30℃) and pH levels (4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5). At least 300 pollen grains were counted from 10 to 20 random microscopic fields. A pollen grain was considered germination if pollen tube length was greater was greater than the diameter of the pollen grain. Similarly, 100 to 200 pollen tubes were measured with an Image Analyser(IMT, Korea) to calculate mean pollen tube length. Buddings refer to pollen grains where pollen tubes do not grow longer than the diameter of pollen grain. Incubation temperature was maintained at 20±1℃. Each combination/treatment was replicated 5 times. Pollen germination and tube growth investigated by Image Analyser were the highest at 25℃ and pH 6.0 in vitro. However pollen germiantion and tube growth gradually decreased at lower pH. Pollen grains cultured at 15℃ resulted in low germination rate than those at other temperature settings. Especially pollen tubes were abnormally thinned and curved when cultured at 30℃. Therefore, optimum conditions should be maintained during blooming and pollination time in pears since pollen germination and pollen tube growth are very sensitive to low pH and/or high temperature.

        본 논문의 목적은 WTO 가입이 중국회계환경에 미치는 영향을 통하여 회계시장과 회계제도가 WTO 가입 이후에 받게 될 충격과 이를 극복하기 위한 방안을 제시함으로써 중국회계제도 개혁의 발전방향을 연구하고 이로써 한국기업의 중국진출에 도움을 주려는 데 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 중국 WTO 가입이 회계환경에 미치는 영향과 대책을 분석하고 국제회계기준과의 비교를 통하여 중국회계제도의 발전방향을 체계적이고 이론적으로 제시한 연구이다. This paper's purpose is to analyze the impact and to get corresponding ways for Chinese accounting system after China will join WTO. In addition, this paper foresee the development direction of Chinese accounting system, and this is a theoretical research paper. Accounting system reform has significant meaning for socialist market economy. If we don't actively carry out this research, we can't effectively forecast Chinese economic development and get correct means. The meaning of this paper lies in : 1. In theoretical aspect: This paper forecast the development direction and course of Chinese accounting system And observe economic development and prospect. 2. In practical aspect : Between China and South Korea, if we ignore or misunderstand accounting system of both side, we will get great loss. Even thought Chinese corporations limited is using this system, we believe all of Chinese companies put into effect. On the foundation of this research, I want to study on Chinese enterprise accounting principals and audit system, and research Chinese economic development and influence in the future, especially after joining WTO.

        가상현실(VR) 언어 학습용 애플리케이션 분석 : 어휘 및 한국어 말하기 학습용 애플리케이션을 중심으로

        4차 산업혁명과 5G 시대가 도래하면서 인공지능(AI) 음성 인식을 적용한 발음 학습 애플리케이션, 언어 학습용 디지털 교재, 교사-학습자 간 상호작용이 가능한 실감형 언어 교실, 언어 학습용 모바일 애플리케이션 등의 신기술과 언어교육의 연계를 고민해야 할 시기이다. 본고는 현재 사용되고 있는 외국어 말하기 또는 어휘 학습 가상현실(VR) 애플리케이션을 분석하여 장단점을 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 향후 보다 효율적인 한국어 학습 애플리케이션 개발 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 일반적으로 가장 많이 사용되는 〈Mondly VR for Daydream〉, 〈House of Languages〉, 〈BeFearless〉 등을 분석하여 각 애플리케이션을 ‘콘텐츠 내용’, ‘구현 방식’, ‘기타 방면’으로 나누어 살펴보고 장점과 단점을 파악하여 나아가서 새로운 가상현실 기반의 언어 학습 애플리케이션 개발을 위한 개선방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 가상현실 기술은 외국어 교육에 적용된 지 오래되지 않았으며 기술적인 면에 있어서도 한계가 존재하기 때문에 일부 애플리케이션에서 콘텐츠 내용이나 구현방식에 있어 여러 가지 문제점이 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 가상현실 애플리케이션은 종이 교재 및 디지털 교재와 융합해서, 콘텐츠는 종이 교재 내용을 기반으로 하며 구현은 디지털 교재의 방식을 모델로 하면서 이들은 서로 보완해서 새로운 언어 교육 도구가 되어야 한다는 결론에 도달했다. 이들 세 가지 교육 도구가 융합하면 종이 교재의 시공간의 한계를 극복하고 내용의 풍부성 및 전체성의 장점을 발휘할 수 있으며, 디지털 교재의 모델을 이용할 수 있고, 가상현실의 몰입감을 바탕으로 학습자의 효율적인 언어 학습의 도구가 될 것으로 예측되기 때문이다. As the coming of “Fourth Industrial Revolution” and 5G era, how to integrate the application of “Artificial Intelligence”(AI) voice recognition with digital textbooks and teacher-learner interaction “Immersive Language Classroom” and “Mobile Phone Application” with foreign language education is an urgent issue for foreign language education circle. The purpose of this paper is to analyze existing foreign language speaking and vocabulary learning by VR applications to find out the advantages and disadvantages and to present a direction for the development of more efficient Korean learning applications in the future. The research mainly selected the relatively popular 〈Mondly VR for Day Dream〉, 〈House of Language〉 and 〈BeFearless〉 as example to conduct qualitative analysis. and put forward personal opinions from “Virtual Reality Content” and “Presentation Method” and other aspects inally. The conclusion of this paper is that if “Virtual Reality Application” software is combined with paper textbooks and digital textbooks, that is to say, using the content paper textbook and overcoming the space-time limitations of paper teaching materials and giving play to the richness and integrity advantages of the content. And refer to the excellent presentation mode in digital textbooks; Giving better play to the sense of immersion and interaction function of virtual reality. The three new tools complement each other and give full play to each other"s advantages.

        Molecular Cloning of Maltooligosyltrehalose Trehalohydrolase Gene from Nostoc flagelliforme and Trehalose-Related Response to Stresses

        A genomic DNA fragment encoding a putative maltooligosyltrehalose trehalohydrolase (NfMTH) for trehalose biosynthesis was cloned by the degenerate primer-PCR from cyanobacterium Nostoc flagelliforme. The ORF of NfMTH is 1,848 bp in length and encodes 615 amino acid residues, constituting a 70 kDa protein. The deduced amino acid sequence of NfMTH contains 4 regions highly conserved for MTHs. By expression of NfMTH in E. coli, the function of this protein was demonstrated, where the recombinant protein catalyzed the hydrolysis of maltooligosyl trehalose to trehalose. The expressions of MTH and maltooligosyltrehalose synthase in the filaments of N. flagelliforme were upregulated significantly under dehydration stress, NaCl stress, and high temperature-drought stress. The accumulations of both trehalose and sucrose in the filaments of N. flagelliforme were also improved significantly under the above stresses. Furthermore, trehalose accumulated in smaller quantities than sucrose did when under NaCl stress, but accumulated in higher quantities than sucrose did when under temperature-drought stress, indicating that both trehalose and sucrose were involved in N. flagelliforme adapted to stresses and different strategies conducted in response to various stress conditions.

      • Nrf2 Overexpression Predicts Prognosis and 5-FU Resistance in Gastric Cancer

        Objective: NF-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is activated in several human malignancies. However, the role of Nrf2 in gastric cancer (GC) remains incompletely understood. In this study, we therefore analyzed associations of Nrf2 expression status with clinical features and chemotherapeutic resistance in GC. Materials and Methods: A total of 186 samples from GC patients who underwent gastrectomy were used for prognostic assessment. A further 142 samples from GC cases who received first-line combination chemotherapy were applied for investigation of chemoresistance. The Nrf2 expression was evaluated by immunohistochemistry in GC samples, and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters and chemotherapy sensitivity was analyzed. The effect of Nrf2 gene silencing on chemotherapy resistance was also examined by cell viability assay in vivo. Results: Of the 186 patients with GC, 104/186 (55.9%) showed high expression for Nrf2. The overexpression of Nrf2 was an independent predictor of overall survival [OS, hazard ratio (HR) 3.9; P=0.011] and disease-free survival (DFS, HR 4.3; P=0.002). The gene silencing of Nrf2 reduced resistance to cell death induced by 5-FU in GC cell lines. Conclusion: Our data show that Nrf2 is an independent prognostic factor in GC. Furthermore, Nrf2 confers resistance to chemotherapeutic drug 5-FU in GC cells. Taken together, Nrf2 is a potential prognostic marker and predictive for 5-FU resistance in GC.

        Associations of HSP90AA2 gene polymorphisms with disease susceptibility, glucocorticoids efficacy and health-related quality of life in Chinese systemic lupus erythematosus patients

        Although the current glucocorticoids (GCs) treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is effective to a certain extent, the difference in therapeutic effect between patients is still a widespread problem. Some patients can have repeated attacks that greatly diminish their quality of life. This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between HSP90AA2 polymorphisms and disease susceptibility, GCs efficacy and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Chinese SLE patients. A case–control study was performed in 470 SLE patients and 470 normal controls. Then, 444 patients in the case group were followed up for 12 weeks to observe efficacy of GCs and improvement of HRQoL. Two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of HSP90AA2 were selected for genotyping: rs1826330 and rs6484340. HRQoL was assessed using the SF-36 questionnaire. The minor T allele of rs1826330 and the TT haplotype formed by rs1826330 and rs6484340 showed associations with decreased SLE risk (T allele: PBH = 0.022; TT haplotype: PBH = 0.033). A significant association between rs6484340 and improvement of HRQoL was revealed in the follow-up study. Five subscales of SF-36 were appeared to be influenced by rs6484340: total score of SF-36 (additive model: PBH = 0.026), physical function (additive model: PBH = 0.026), rolephysical (recessive model: PBH = 0.041), mental health (dominant model: PBH = 0.047), and physical component summary (additive model: PBH = 0.026). No statistical significance was found between HSP90AA2 gene polymorphisms and GCs efficacy. These results revealed a genetic association between HSP90AA2 and SLE. Remarkably, HSP90AA2 has an impact on the improvement of HRQoL in Chinese population with SLE.
