Recently, a new version of expansiveness which is closely attached to some certain weak version of hyperbolicity was given for $C^1$ vector fields as following: a $C^1$ vector field $X$ will be called {\it rescaling expansive} on a compact invariant set $\Lambda$ of $X$ if for any $\epsilon>0$ there is $\delta>0$ such that, for any $x,y\in \Lambda$ and any time reparametrization $\theta:\mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}$, if $d(\varphi_t(x), \varphi_{\theta(t)}(y))\leq \delta\|X(\varphi_t(x))\|$ for all $t\in \mathbb R$, then $\varphi_{\theta(t)}(y)\in \varphi_{(-\epsilon, \epsilon)}(\varphi_t(x))$ for all $t\in \mathbb R$. In this paper, some equivalent definitions for rescaled expansiveness are given.
Empirical study on the effect of FDI on China's international trade structure

Since the economic reform and opening up, China"s international trade and foreign direct investment have been increasing both highly and stably. It is very important to investigate the relationship between FDI and China"s international trade structure. Using data from 1986 to 2005, this paper creates an index of TSA to measure the trade structure advantage and then analysis the effect of FDI on China"s trade structure by the means of empirical study. The result shows that becausej of FDI"s spill-over effect on technology, innovation and management, FDI has active impact on optimization of China"s international trade structure in long term. At the meantime, there is high risk that FDI plays an opposite role in short term because of time lag from investment to income and the situation of "high import low export" in processing trade. Finally relevant suggestions are put forward to make good use of spill-over effect and management the risk.

Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), an essential cofactor for nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity, is known to play important roles in modulating both NO and superoxide production during vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis. However, the role of BH4 in functions of vascular smooth muscle cells is not fully known. In this study, we tested the effects of BH4 and dihydrobiopterin (BH2), a BH4 precursor, on migration and proliferation in response to platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) in rat aortic smooth muscle cells (RASMCs). Cell migration and proliferation were measured using a Boyden chamber and a 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine incorporation assay, respectively, and these results were confirmed with an ex vivo aortic sprout assay. Cell viability was examined by 2,3-bis [2-methoxy- 4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl]-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide assays. BH4 and BH2 decreased PDGF-BB- induced cell migration and proliferation in a dose-dependent manner. The inhibition of cell migration and proliferation by BH4 and BH2 was not affected by pretreatment with NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester, a NOS inhibitor. Moreover, the sprout outgrowth formation of aortic rings induced by PDGF-BB was inhibited by BH4 and BH2. Cell viability was not inhibited by BH4 and BH2 treatment. The present results suggest that BH4 and BH2 may inhibit PDGF-stimulated RASMC migration and proliferation via the NOS-independent pathway. Therefore, BH4 and its derivative could be useful for the development of a candidate molecule with an NO-independent anti-atherosclerotic function.
Numerical simulation of a regenerative thermal oxidizer for volatile organic compounds treatment

As regulations governing the control of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) have become increasingly stringent in China, regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs) have been more frequently applied in medium- and high-concentration VOCs treatments. However, due to the lack of existing RTO-related research, experience remains a dominant factor for industrial application. This paper thus aimed to establish a model for industrial RTOs, using a transient simulation method and thermal equilibrium model to simulate the internal velocities and temperature distributions of an RTO across multiple cycles. A comparison showed an error of less than 5% between most correlating simulated and experimental measurement points, verifying that the simulation method was accurate. After verification, the velocity and temperature fields inside the RTO were simulated to study the uniformity of temperature and velocity within the packed beds: both fields displayed high uniformity after gas flowed through the honeycomb regenerator. The effects of air volume, VOCs concentrations, and valve switching times on the oxidation chamber temperature, RTO outlet temperature, and thermal efficiency (as well as their averages) were studied. The VOCs removal rate in this study was constantly above 98%, and the average thermal efficiency reached 90%.
An Improved DMRS Design Scheme of LTE-Advanced Uplink

The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Long Term Evolution (LTE) uplink supports only a single antenna transmission. However, in order to improve the uplink spectrum efficiency, support multiple antenna transmission in LTE-Advanced. Meanwhile, taking into account backwards compatibility for LTE. LTE-Advanced De-Modulation Reference Signal (DMRS) needs to be designed [1]. According to requirement of LTE-Advanced uplink pilot design, introducing orthogonal cover code (OCC) as a supplement, analysis and study of the current problems, proposes a Circular Shift (CS), Group/Sequence Hopping (GSH) and the OCC joint instructions method of pilot design. Finally, simulation and analysis of the performance of this scheme. Results show that this scheme can meet LTE- Advanced demand for pilot design well.

To realize tight control of hyperglycemia for diabetic patients, cationic chitosan (HTCC) based nanocompositehydrogels were prepared by using graphene oxide (GO) as nano-carrier for the model drug(bovine serum albumin, BSA). BSA intercalated into the layers of GO and the intercalation process wasmainly driven by the mutual electrostatic interaction. By introducing GO-BSA, a more compact GOcenterednetwork structure formed for the hydrogel. Compared with HTCC/BSA, HTCC/2.0wt%GO-BSAhydrogels exhibited a more distinct pH-/glucose-sensitivity and a much lower initial burst release, whichwas attributed to the compact structure and strong interactions among HTCC, GO and BSA in the hydrogelsystem
Tubular Substructure of Intravascular Thread-Like Structures from Rats and Rabbits

We report on the observation of a thread-like structure, which is a semi-transparent elastic bundle of tubules, inside the blood vessels of rats and rabbits. We contrived a method using an intravenous injection of a 10 % dextrose solution at the vena femoralis to cause blood to coagulate around an intra-blood-vessel duct (IBVD) so that it became thick and strong. The tubular substructure of the IBVD was observed by using a dierential interference contrast image and by using an electrical separation technique. The functions of the IBVD are not known at the present time. We might speculate that the IBVD is a Bonghan duct, which is known to be the only thread-like structure inside blood vessels.
Survey on Financial Support in Chinese Language Promotion

In the promotion of Chinese language, the funding that Confucius Institutes can rely on only comes from Hanban. From 2009 to 2014, the number of new Confucius Institutes opened is much higher than before. With the increasing number of Confucius Institutes established in various countries, the funding for promoting Chinese language has limited its development. The development situation of Confucius Institutes in Australia is diversified with very rich experience. The market-oriented development of Confucius Institutes has also tried many times. The Confucius Institutes in the Lancang-Mekong region have less experience but they can learn from various experiences from Australia to provide better ideas and paths for the development of Confucius Institutes in this region and the promotion of Chinese. This paper uses the strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat (SWOT) model to analyze the market feasibility of financial support for the development of Confucius Institutes and makes certain suggestions for the promotion of Chinese language in the Lancang-Mekong region.
