        현대주의가 혁신의 새로운 세계로 부터 태어나고, 현대음악이 높은 궤도에 도달했을 때 그 진로는 오랜 전통으로 부터 이끌어진 것이다. 서양 문명의 마지막 거점으로 부터 동양의 음악적 아이디어(idea)가 아직도 새로운 것일 때부터, 동양 뿐만 아니라 서양의 음악적 아이디어가 다시 새롭게 조사되는 속에서, 문화적 교차로 인한 풍요로움의 중심지를 인도되는 과정을 Claude Debussy의 Syrinx(1913), Edgard Varese의 Density 21.5(1936), Luciano Berio의 Sequenza(1958), 그리고 Chou Wen-Chung의 Cursive(1963), 이상 4현대 풀룻 독주 작품을 통하여 설명하고 있다.

      • 시멘트의 분말도 변화에 따른 시멘트 모르터의 역학적 특성

        This study discusses the influence of fineness of cement on mechanical properties of cement mortar. According to the result, compressive strength increases in order of C>B>OPC>A and C>B>A>OPC at mixture proportion of 1:1 and 1:3 respectively. An increase of compressive strength by increase of fineness of cement is because internal structure of concrete grows dense by an increase of hydration reaction. As for curing condition, compressive strength is higher in standard curing than in air curing at mixture proportion of 1:1 and 1:3. There is not any tendency of strength development with age and fineness of cement by 91days. Length change by drying shrinkage increases in order of C>B>OPC>A at mixture proportion of 1:1 and 1:3 due to an increase of water content by variation of W/C.

        In this paper, availability of deteriorated remicon due to delaying delivery time is discussed. According to test results, fluidity and air content of plain concrete exhibited a tendency to decline with a elapse of time. After 90 minutes since mixed, use of superplasticizer and AE admixture resulted in an increase in fluidity and air content. Adequate dosage of superplasticizer and AE adimixture is found to add with 0.4% and 0.002% respectively to restore the level of original slump and air content from loss one. Setting time of concrete exhibited an acceleration with an increase in leaving time of concrete. Compressive strength of plain concrete is enhanced with and increase of leaving time of concrete. Therefore, it is found that the use of superplasticizer with 0.4% and AE admixture with 0.002% has a desirable effect on restoring the deteriorated quality of concrete related to fluidity, air content and setting time without strength loss caused by delivery time delaying.

        과호흡증후군 환자에서 이온화칼슘,마그네슘과 산-염기상태의 변화에 대한 고찰

        Background. Tetanic spasm is often noted in hyperventilating patients coming in to emergency departments. Classical explanation for this phenomenon was decreased ionized calcium levels due to respiratory alkalosis precipitated by the hyperventilation. Clinically these symptoms were observed in hypocalcemia and were thought as such without doubt, But6 clinical investigation on the levels of ionized calcium levels have not been clarified. Recent investigations on hyperventilating volunteers have suggested other pathophysiology for tetanic spasm in hyperventilating patients which is the decrement of ionized magnesium level rather than ionized calcium. We wanted to see if these results applied to our hyperventilating patients and see if ionized magnesium level was a factor producing tetanic symptoms. Method and Material, 35 patients with diagnosis of hyperventilation syndrome by emergency physician were studied retrospectively. Hyperventilating patients arriving at Severance hospital Emergency Center from Jan. 1996 to Feb. 1998 were included. Patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary diseases, history of renal or liver disease were excluded. Ion-selective method was used to detect ionized calcium, magnesium levels and arterial blood gas features. Average levels were compared to reference ranges and Wilkoxon-rank, sum test was used to compare hyperventilating patients with tetanic spasm and those with other symptoms such as dyspnea, chest pain and palpitations. Results. 1) Sodium, potassium and chloride levels were 138mmol/L, 3.6mm/l, 106mm/l each which were within a normal range. 2) Degrees of hyperventilation were similar with average of PH 7.54(7.4-7.71), pCO₂ 23.6mmHg, showing respiratory alkalosis. 3) Ionized calcium and ionized magnesium each showed 0.61mg/dl, 0.16mg/dl lower values than the lowest reference ranges which were 4.5-5.6mg/dL for ionized calcium and 1.19-1.63 for ionized magnesium. 4) No statistical difference points were observed between the tetanic spasm group and group without spasm. Female preponderance were noted in tetanic spasm group. Conclusion. We conclude that other than decrement of ionized calcium, decrement of ionized magnesium could be a factor for inducing tetanic spasm in respiratory alkalosis caused by hyperventilation.

      • 유기질비료 시비량에 따른 오미자 묘목의 초기 생육특성에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to have basic and applied informations to find the optimum nitrogen fertilization level for organic cultivation and to investigate early growth characteristics of Schizandra chinensis Baillon. Different application levels of the organic fertilizer were based on the recommended rate of N fertilizer. Five different levels of the organic fertilizer were applied to S. chinensis and early growth responses such as the length of vine, the diameter of vine, the number of leaves, and the number of branches were investigated. Lengths of main and total vines were shown longer at the level of 1.0 time organic fertilizer than those at others. The vine length at early growth was the highest at the level of 1.0 time organic fertilizer among the treatments. Stem diameter was shown thicker level of 1.0 time organic fertilizer than others on August and September, whereas on October it was the thickest in the conventional cultivation. Number of leaf was increased higher at the level of 1.0 and 2.0 times organic fertilizer than that in the compared to conventional. The number of branches was appeared the lowest at the level of 1.0 time organic fertilizer at early growth, however they were increased through progressing their growth stages. They were not significantly difference among the treatments except for the level of 2.0 times organic fertilizer. Based on the research results, the growth of S. chinensis was commonly higher at the level of 1.0 time organic fertilizer compared to other treatments.

        Mapping Signals That Are Important for Nuclear and Nucleolar Localization in MCRS2

        MCRS2 is an oncoprotein that is sequestered in the nu-cleolus. When in the nucleolus, it promotes the transcrip-tion of the rRNA gene. MCRS2 also brings proteins into the nucleolus to change their function. This study analyzes the sequence of MCRS2 and determines that the nuclear localization signal, which has the sequence KRKK, is situ-ated between amino acids 66 and 69. Meanwhile, MCRS2 contains a bipartite nucleolar localization signal, which comprises a KKSK motif, located between amino acids 133 and 136, and a downstream 152-amino acid region, from amino acid 314 to 465. The results of this study are impor-tant to understand the function of MCRS2.

        Ginsenoside Rg3 ameliorates allergic airway infl ammation and oxidative stress in mice

        Background: Ginsenoside Rg3, isolated from Panax ginseng, has anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activities. It is known to reduce inflammation in acute lung injury in mice, and to reduce the expression ofinflammatory cytokines and COX-2 in human asthmatic airway epithelium. In this study, we attemptedto determine whether ginsenoside Rg3 inhibits airway inflammation, oxidative stress, and airwayhyperresponsiveness (AHR) in the lungs of asthmatic mice. We also investigated its effects on oxidativestress and the inflammatory response in tracheal epithelial cells. Methods: Asthma symptoms were induced in female BALB/c mice sensitized with ovalbumin (OVA). Micewere divided into five groups: normal controls, OVA-induced asthmatic controls, and asthmatic micetreated with ginsenoside Rg3 or prednisolone by intraperitoneal injection. Inflammatory BEAS-2B cells(human tracheal epithelial cells) treated with ginsenoside Rg3 to investigate its effects on inflammatorycytokines and oxidative responses. Results: Ginsenoside Rg3 treatment significantly reduced eosinophil infiltration, oxidative responses,airway inflammation, and AHR in the lungs of asthmatic mice. Ginsenoside Rg3 reduced Th2 cytokineand chemokine levels in bronchoalveolar lavage fluids and lung. Inflammatory BEAS-2B cells treated withginsenoside Rg3 reduced the eotaxin and pro-inflammatory cytokine expressions, and monocyteadherence to BEAS-2B cells was significantly reduced as a result of decreased ICAM-1 expression. Furthermore, ginsenoside Rg3 reduced the expression of reactive oxygen species in inflammatory BEAS-2B cells. Conclusion: Ginsenoside Rg3 is a potential immunomodulator that can ameliorate pathological featuresof asthma by decreasing oxidative stress and inflammation

      • An On-Line Calibrated Visual Intelligent Space for Navigation and Control of Mobile Robots

        An intelligent space employing multiple vision sensors is proposed. The union of the sensing ranges of the sevision sensors covers a large unknown work space where a mobile robot can proceed to explore. The goal of this research is to accomplish mobile robot localization and navigation based on such a non-line calibrated sensor network. In particular, each adjacent IP camer apairis as sumed to have an over lapping field of view, but the positions and orientations of the IP cameras with respect to either the Cartesian space or any mobile robot are unknown. The idea is to control the mobile robot to actively perform calibration with anystationary IP camera that can observe pre-selected features on board the mobile robot, and thuse stablish coordinate trans formations among these IP cameras. The proposed system only requires a PC and a network of stationary IP cameras without performing off-line calibration. Therefore, this seemingly novel approach appears to below-cost, effective, efficient, and flexible.

        Original Article : The effects of low level laser radiation on bacterial growth

        Objective: The low level lasers currently in the market vary in wavelength, dosage, and frequency. These devices are used with much different clinical pathology. Most notably, some studies claim that wounds heal faster with low level laser therapy due to the fact that bacteria commonly found in wounds are killed by laser light. Systemic and meta-analysis studies found the difficulty of comparison of numerous research studies because of differences in the intensities and frequencies of low level laser treatment (LLLT). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of LLLT on controlling bacterial growth. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Variables included LLLT dosage and wavelength on 3 bacteria commonly seen in wounds, strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were used on commercially available 5.0-cm agar plates. Blue, green, and red, ultraviolet (UV) and infrared laser light sources were adjusted to either low or high intensity settings. Five Petri dishes at a time were placed directly beneath laser light sources with the exception of UV which was placed six inches below the suspended light and infrared which was placed directly on top of the Petri dish lid. Each group of five Petri dishes was irradiated for 15 minutes. Results: The results showed no effect of any of 9 different LLLT intensities or colors on bacteria growth compared to sham light. Conclusions: At least for claims of bacterial growth inhibition with LLLT, no support for this claim can be found here.
