We have introduced the development for the manufacturing of the transmission helical gear in automobile in the future. The forging production of the helical gear for transmission was very useful to reduce the cost down and increase the life cycle than machining the gear as gear hobbing and turning. As result the simulation for the forging process by the computer, the temperature increase in lower pressure, the pressure lower in lower velocity in analysis the SCr420H steel. Also we had known as total reduction cost was up to 30% compare the machining the gear.

The purpose of this study was the development to the high performance multi-holes slat pin Form Roll machine. The pin was widely using in radiator, oil cooler. Inter cooler, condenser, evaporator and so on. The forming machine was produced high efficiency and more quality than press type of that. The average pin thickness were satisfied the requirement specs as 0.3±0.05㎜. The pin hight was 2.97±0.05㎜ and the pin pitch was 4.93±0.3㎜. Thus the results of measurement for pin dimensions were satisfied the whole requirement.

The purpose of this study is to find of tribologic characteristics on the drag reduction in helical forging mold which is new development part in mobile auto-transmission. The test materials were SCr420H and SKD61. This study has used the pin-on-disk type of friction wear test system and has used the normal load in the range of 20-100N. It was operated at the speed range of 0.06-0.34m/s. The friction coefficient of helical gear and mold materials was a range of 0.02-0.12. When the velocity increases and the load decrease, the friction coefficient increased. On the other hand, the friction coefficient of dimple patterning materials was a range of 0.012-0.03. When the load increases, the friction coefficient decreased and the changes in velocity were not affected. The specimen of dimple processing was corresponding to 30% of the friction coefficient for not processing specimens. It is dimple effect.

In this study we investigate the machining characteristics of tool material for cold forging by using the machining center. The test was in the SKD62 cold forging material by 2-edge endmill with cutting fluid. The coating conditions are depth of cut 1,2,3mm, WC-endmill, federate 20mm/min, cutting velocity 20m/min. The surface roughness increase as the depth of cut increase. Also cutting force increase whiles the depth of cut increase.

As a new approach to analyze grinding energy, this paper introduces a specific grinding energy model based on the average grain. Using this model, grinding characteristics such as radial and tangential forces, specific grinding energy of SM45C were investigated altering grinding variables such as workpiece velocity(v) and apparent depth of cut(Z) in down-surface grinding. From the experimental results, there is no significant difference between the radial, tangential forces and vertical, horizontal forces because of small contact angle between wheel and workpiece. The specific grinding energy decreases as the maximum undeformed chip thickness increases. But, there is much difference between the specific grinding energies of the existing and the proposed model.
