교전중에 잇는 포클랜드제도에서는 지난 주에 한 교두보에서 전격전이 기습적으로 발발하였다. 영국의 공수연대 대원들은 불과 일주일전에 침공하여 확보한 포트 산 카를로스 정착지 근처 동포클랜드로부터 신속하게 이동하여 다윈 정착지 근처 남쪽 20마일 지점에 낙하하였다. 헬리콥터를 동원 늪지대를 횡단하여 뛰어넘은 영국의 정예부대는약 600명으로 추산되는 아르헨티나 수비대와 한차례 대결하였다. 여기서 치열한 교전이 있었다는 보고가 있으며, 영국 국방성에서는 영국군이 주요 비행장을 갖추고 있는 구스 그린과 이곳에 근접해 있는 다윈을 확보하였다고 간략하게 발표하였다. 국방성 대변잉 Ian McDonald씨는 아르헨티나군은 상당한 인명손실을 입었으나, 영국측의 손실은 경미하며, 또한 일단의 포로들을 포획하였다고 발표하였다.

This paper explores film education in the secondary school as an arts and culture education. The study focuses on the supporting project for arts educator and curricula for teaching profession. Firstly, the supporting project for arts educator has been started by Korea Arts and Culture Education Service since 2004. It plays a key role in expanding film education in the primary and secondary school in terms of Support for Arts and Culture Education Act. Secondly, the purpose of the teaching profession in film education is to obtain the educational knowledge and professional skills of film which are characteristic to the teaching profession. However, the teaching profession for film education needs to develop the curriculum and teaching methods.

<P>In this paper, we report preliminary results of our on-going effort to develop a superconducting persistent-current switch (PCS) for REBCO pancake coils that will be operated in liquid helium. In the first part of this paper, we briefly describe experimental results of our PCS operated in the temperature range 77-57 K, i.e., liquid-and solid-nitrogen environments. The rest we devote to a new PCS heater design in which we target a heating power of < 1 W in liquid helium.</P>

Cerium dioxide (CeO2) films were fabricated on yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) single crystals using unbalanced radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering. X-ray diffraction measurements revealed film strain discrepancies under different deposition parameters. Strain evolution was induced by varying sputtering pressure, RF power, and sputtering gas. A distinct morphological transition from a granular surface to an interwoven surface was also realized by varying the above parameters. On the basis of the “atomic peening” mechanism, the influence of different parameters on film strainwas discussed. The film surface characteristics were revealed to be highly correlated with film strain. YBa2Cu3O7d (YBCO) films were post-deposited on the as-grown CeO2/YSZ(001) stack by using the trifluoroacetate metal-organic deposition (TFA-MOD) method. The superconducting property of the YBCO layer varied significantly with the morphology of the CeO2 buffer films.
