The objective of this experiment was to investigate the effect of extrusion of ginseng roots in twin screw extruder on susceptibility of ginseng starch toward hydrolysis by ${\alpha}-amylase$ BAN 480L (Novozyme, Denmark) and cellulase Celluclast 150L and saccharification by amyloglucosidase AMG-E (Novozyme, Denmark). The extrusion was conducted at 22% and 30% moisture contents of feed at screw speed 300 rpm. Barrel temperature at zone 1 was adjusted at $100^{\circ}C$ and $120^{\circ}C$. The results showed that extrusion process improved the ginseng ${\alpha}-amylase$ susceptibility as compared to traditionally dried ginseng (white and red ginseng). Reducing sugar of hydrolyzed extruded samples was 2,500% of its initial concentration, whereas the reducing sugar of hydrolyzed non-extruded sample was only 200% of its initial concentration. However, addition of cellulase during liquefaction lowered the saccharification yield of both non-extruded and extruded samples as well.

소형주택의 실내코디네이션 연출 분석에 관한 연구 -85㎡이하 아파트 모델하우스 거실 사례를 중심으로-

(연구배경 및 목적) 최근에 나타나고 있는 인구감소 및 1-2인 가구의 증가는 주택의 소형화 및 다양화를 증가시켰으며, 주택의 실내디자인과 실내 코디네이션에 커다란 영향을 주었다. 특히 다양한 소형주택이 나타남에 따라 소형주택의 실내코디네이션의 경향 역시 더욱 다원화, 다양화 될 것으로 예상된다. 이에 소형주택의 실내코디네이션을 85㎡이하 아파트 모델 하우스 거실사례를 중심으로 실내코디네이션의 연출 경향을 제시하는데 목적을 두고자 한다. (연구방법) 소형주택과 관련된 이론적 고찰 및 선행 연구를 통해 사례선정과 소형주택의 실내코디네이션의 공간선호도와 구성요소를 파악하는 설문을 실내디자인관련 실무경력자집단에서 시행한 설문조사와 통계적 분석방법을 적용하여 사례분석을 진행하였다. (결과)소형주택의 실내코디네이션은 디자인 계획시 수요자의 편의와 요구를 적용하고자 가변형 평면을 구성하고 공간이 넓어 보이도록 그에 맞는 디자인 스타일과 색채, 가구, 패브릭을 중심으로 조명, 아트웍, 소품을 최소화하여 연출하는 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 실내코디네이션 연출 경향에 관한 연구의 기초자료가 되는 것에 시사하는 바가 있다. (Background and Purpose) Recently, there has been an increase in smaller households (i.e., 1-to-2 persons),which has led to the miniaturization of housing units and an attendant change in interior design. This change is expected to inspire more diverse housing floor plans and interior coordination schemes. This study aims to analyze the various characteristics of interior coordination applied to living rooms in houses below 85㎡. (Method) We examine interior coordination schemes described in previous theoretical studies as well as statistical analysis from an organization that surveyed participants`spatial and interior coordination preferences in small-sized housing. (Result) Analytical methods are used to determine a generalizable set of conclusions. Interior coordination of small-sized housing is geared toward the convenience and needs of customers whose design preferences vary widely (e.g., around colors, furniture, fabrics, lighting, artwork, and accessories). Thus, this study illuminates a basic framework for interior design of small-sized housing.
Research on Recognition Method of Electrical Components Based on FEYOLOv4-tiny

Recently, electrical component recognition technology is of great signifi cance for fault identifi cation and stable operation of the modern power grids. With the rapid improvement of smart grids, higher requirements are put forward to the recognition methods in detection accuracy and real-time performance. However, the conventional recognition methods are fail to meet the demands since they always have drawbacks in detection performance. To improve the electrical component identifi cation capability, a novel detection method based on Feature Enhanced You Only Look Once v4-tiny (FEYOLOv4-tiny) is proposed in this study. Here, YOLOv4-tiny is employed as the prototype of the proposed network, whereas enhancement module is designed to improve the feature extraction capability. Moreover, frequency channel attention and spatial attention module are utilized to capture the informative and discriminatory features. Experimental results indicate that our proposed method outperforms other lightweight networks in detection accuracy with almost the same real-time performance, especially for the small targets with complex background. Over all, FEYOLO v4-tiny is effi cient in electrical component identifi cation and has signifi cant application prospects in power inspection.
Experimental and Theoretical Studies of Bidirectional Variable Curvature Friction Pendulum Bearing

In this study, to satisfy the base isolation demand of large-scale building structures under different earthquake records, a new bidirectional variable curvature friction pendulum bearing (BD-VCFPB) is proposed. The VCFPB is designed in detail based on the basic principle of a friction pendulum system. Moreover, the sliding interface function, gap between the slider and the sliding interface, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) plate stress are studied. Finally, a dynamic cyclic test is conducted to study the influence of the slider size, contact pressure on the PTFE plate, and loading frequency on the hysteretic behavior of the VCFPB. The results indicate that the hysteretic curves of the horizontal force and the displacement are regular, symmetrical, stable, and full, and clearly reflect the variable curvature convex and concave characteristics and the excellent behavior of energy dissipation of the BD-VCFPB. The sliding friction coefficient varies significantly with the contact pressure on the PTFE plate and the loading frequency; however, it has little relation with the slider size. A hysteretic model is proposed based on the results of a unidirectional test, and it is in good agreement with the hysteretic curves of the horizontal force and the displacement from a bidirectional test.

Sprites, elves and blue jets are collectively denominated as the upper atmospheric transient luminous events (TLEs). They are recently discovered optical flashes between active thunderstorms and the ionosphere. In this report, a brief introduction to the most important characteristics of TLEs is given. Since 2001, scientists from the National Cheng Kung University have been performing yearly summer campaigns from various locations in Taiwan. The main achievements of their yearly campaign are presented.

Transient luminous events (TLEs; sprites, elves, jets and etc.) are lightning-related optical flashes occurring above thunderstorms. Since the first discovery of sprites in 1989, scientists have learned a great deal about the morphological, spectroscopic and electromagnetic characteristics of TLEs through ground and spacecraft campaigns. However, most of the TLE studies were based on events recorded over US High Plains. To elucidate the possible biasing effects, space-borne observations are needed and have their merits. Imager of sprites and Upper Atmospheric Lightning (ISUAL) on the FORMOSAT-2 satellite is the first instrument to carry out a true global measurement of TLEs from a low- earth orbit. In this short paper, we apply a common astronomical data analysis technique, two-color diagram, on the ISUAL spectrophotometer (SP) data. By choosing appropriated bandpasses and converting the measured flux of TLEs into the unit of magnitude, two-color diagrams of TLEs can be constructed. We demonstrate that two-color diagrams, which were constructed from the narrow-band spectrophotometer data, can be used to classify different types of TLEs and trace their temporal evolution. The amount of reddening due to Earth's atmosphere can also be estimated from two-color diagrams assembled from the broad-band spectrophotometer data.
