<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, transparent thin films for coating material are synthesized by adding bulky CF<SUB>3</SUB> and hydroxyl groups intro into poly(amide-imide)s. As expected, these poly(amide-imide)s show higher shear adhesion and higher glass transition temperatures than the neat poly(amide-imide) due to hydrogen bonding of the hydroxyl groups. In addition, the modification to the poly(amide-imide) structure leads to only slight decreases in transmittance and yellow index.</P> <P>Consequently, the successful synthesis of poly(amide-imide)s with wide applications as transparent coating materials due to their optical properties and high adhesion is demonstrated. Transparent flexible display and coating products can be manufactured with poly(amide-imide)s having high reliability and a low chance of cracking due to their favorable thermal properties.</P>

무인기를 위한 자율 시스템은 임무 목표, 임무 상황, 무인기의 상태를 기반으로, 목표 달성을 위해 현재 수행할 행동을 결정하는 의사결정 능력을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 지형 충돌 위험이 있는 저고도 운용, 방문 순서를 변경하지 않아야 하는 항로점 집합, 임무 대상 객체의 위치 불확실성 등 현실적인 제약조건 하에서 감시정찰 임무를 자율적으로 수행할 수 있는 의사결정 시스템과 이러한 특성을 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 임무 정의를 제시한다. 제안한 의사결정 시스템을 Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation 환경에서 현실적인 임무 상황을 반영한 3종의 시나리오를 통해 검증한다. 무인기의 비행 경로와 임무 상황에서 의사결정 시스템이 선택한 행동을 시뮬레이션 결과로 제시하고, 그 결과를 논의한다. Autonomous system for UAVs has a capability to decide an appropriate current action to achieve the goal based on the ultimate mission goal, context of mission, and the current state of the UAV. We propose a decision-making system that has an ability to operate ISR mission autonomously under the realistic limitation such as low altitude operation with high risk of terrain collision, a set of way points without change of visit sequence not allowed, and position uncertainties of the objects for the mission. The proposed decision-making system is loaded to a Hardware-In-the-loop Simulation environment, then tested and verified using three representative scenarios with a realistic mission environment. The flight trajectories of the UAV and selected actions via the proposed decision-making system are presented as the simulation results with discussion.

Background: Ingredients of cosmetics are able to pass in variable amount across the skin and generate adverse effects at given level of systemic exposure. Recently, cosmetic products are widely used even in adolescents and babies and the type and prevalence of cosmetic products for men are increasing prominently. Objectives: A database was created with person-oriented information regarding demographics of consumers and usage patterns for 72 kinds of cosmetics. Methods: We analyzed data from the online survey carried out 5 cities and 18,000 adults and adolescents comprising 908 males and 892 females ranged from 15 to 59 years completed the digital questionnaire. Results: - The average number of the cosmetic products which the participants use was 27.4 in women and 13.3 in men. The most commonly used products in men were shampoo, facial moisturizer and body cleanser. The use of base makeup and color makeup products of male respondents (21.7% and 32.3%, respectively) was reported to be quite higher than that of the past survey in other countries (0.5%). The average number of cosmetics for babies is 0.2 and the most commonly used products are lotion, shampoo and body cleanser. The teenagers use the average 24.1 cosmetic products and the commonly used ones in order are shampoo, lotion and hand cream. This paper presents a simple and cost-effective stand-alone rapid battery charging system of 30kW for electric vehicles. The proposed system mainly consists of active front-end rectifier of neutral point clamped 3-level type and non-isolated bi-directional dc-dc converter of multi-phase interleaved half-bridge topology with coupled inductors. The charging system is designed to operate for both lithium-polymer and lithium-ion batteries. The complete charging sequence is made up of three sub-interval operating modes; pre-charging mode, constant-current mode, and constant-voltage mode. The pre-charging mode employs the staircase shaped current profile to accomplish shorter charging time while maintaining the reliable operation of the battery. The proposed system is able to reach the full-charge state within less than 16min for the battery capacity of 8kWh by supplying the charging current of 67A. The optimal discharging algorithm for Vehicle to the Grid (V2G) operation has been adopted to maintain the discharging current of 1C. Owing to the simple and compact power conversion scheme, the proposed solution has superior module-friendly mechanical structure which is absolutely required to realize flexible power expansion capability in a very highcurrent rapid charging system.

When referring to weight, volume, and efficiency, a SuperConducting Synchronous Generator (SCSG) is definitely superior to conventional generators as a large-scale wind power generation system. The SCSG is connected to a full power converter that transmits the energy from the SCSG to the power grid. To reduce the current stress and system cost, the SCSG which has nine-phase armature windings with three converters is used. This paper deals with a comparative analysis of 10 MW superconducting wind power generators with three-phase and nine-phase armature windings. The stator windings of SCSGs are of various types. Using the finite element method, SCSGs are analyzed and compared in terms of the weight and volume of SCSGs, the total length of the superconducting wire, harmonics, torque performance, and efficiency. The analyzed results will be effectively utilized to design large-scale superconducting generators for wind power generation systems.

<P>Background: Magnolia officinalis Rehder and EH Wilson (M. officinalis) are traditional Chinese medicines widely used for gastrointestinal (GI) tract motility disorder in Asian countries. We investigated the effects of an ethanol extract of M. officinalis (MOE) on the pacemaker potentials of cultured interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs) in vitro and its effects on GI motor functions in vivo. Methods: We isolated ICCs from small intestines, and the whole-cell patch-clamp configuration was used to record the pacemaker potentials in cultured ICCs in vitro. Both gastric emptying (GE) and intestinal transit rates (ITRs) were investigated in normal and GI motility dysfunction (GMD) mice models in vivo. Results: MOE depolarized ICC pacemaker potentials dose-dependently. Pretreatment with methoctramine (a muscarinic M-2 receptor antagonist) and 4-DAMP (a muscarinic M-3 receptor antagonist) inhibited the effects of MOE on the pacemaker potential relative to treatment with MOE alone. In addition, MOE depolarized pacemaker potentials after pretreatment with Y25130 (a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist), GR113808 (a 5-HT4 receptor antagonist) or SB269970 (a 5-HT7 receptor antagonist). However, pretreatment with RS39604 (a 5-HT4 receptor antagonist) blocked MOE-induced pacemaker potential depolarizations. Intracellular GDP ss S inhibited MOE-induced pacemaker potential depolarization, as did pretreatment with Ca2+ free solution or thapsigargin. In normal mice, the GE and ITR values were significantly and dose-dependently increased by MOE. In loperamide-and cisplatin-induced GE delay models, MOE administration reversed the GE deficits. The ITRs of the GMD mice were significantly reduced relative to those of normal mice, which were significantly and dose-dependently reversed by MOE. Conclusion: These results suggest that MOE dose-dependently depolarizes ICCs pacemaker potentials through M-2 and M-3 receptors via internal and external Ca2+ regulation through G protein pathways in vitro. Moreover, MOE increased GE and ITRs in vivo in normal and GMD mouse models.
