        The purpose of this study was to analyze the aesthetic characteristics of Korean traditional architecture from a view point of relationship. The society and culture have been changed and according to that, the relationship has been disappeared. Accordingly, we need to regain the relationship between everything in the world, so this study did to find characteristics about relationship in Korean traditional architecture. This study did the following; First, it reviewed literature about special character of Korean traditional architecture. Second, it made an analysis standard about aesthetic characteristics for categorizing special character. Third, it categorized aesthetic characteristics again according to a standard for relationship characteristics. The standard for relationship is made up of eight items; people and god, people and people, people and nature, people and architecture, nature and architecture, architecture and architecture, negative and positive, and time and space.

        중추신경계에 침범한 속립성 결핵 : 증례보고

        in recent times, central nervous system(CNS) tuberculosis has been rare and the prevalence of the focal form, the tuberculoma, varies from 1 per 200 to 1 per 1000. CNS tuberculosis occurs as a result of hematogenous spread from a primary focus. mostly pulmonary tuberculosis. It can be diffuse exudative leptomeningitis or a localized tuberculoma ; the former is more common. We report a case of miliary cerebral tuberculosis in a 24-year-old female who had been having headaches for 4 months. Magnetic resonance imaging showed numerous small round Gadolinium-enhanced supratentorial and infratentorial lesions scattered throughout the brain. Histologic examination confirmed well defined tuberculous granulomas with central caseous necrosis in open biopsy, containing several acid-fast bacilli, the patient was treated with isoniazid, rifampin, ethambutol, pyrazinamide in combination with prednisolone.

        수은폭로 근로자의 조기 신기능 장해 지표로서의 요중 β-Galactosidase 활성도에 관한 연구

        The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between β-galactosidase activity in urine, in serum and urinary N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase activity as an early indicator of renal effect and mercury concentration in urine and blood, reflecting the intensity of exposure to or the amount of body burden of mercury. This study was carried out among 70 workers exposed to mercury vapor and 63 non-exposed workers as a reference. The results were as follows; 1. The mean concentration of urinary mercury(43.5 ㎍/l) in exposed subjects was about nine times higher than that of non-exposed subjects, but the mean values of blood mercury were not different from each other. 2. The mean values of β-galactosidase activity in urine(119.7μmolMU/h/g creatinine) and in blood(73.7 molMU/h/l) of mercury-exposed subjects were significantly higher than those of non-exposed subjects. 3. In mercury-exposed subjects, β-galactosidase activities in urine(r=0.38, P<0.01) and in serum(r=0.26, P<0.05) were correlated to urinary mercury concentration, but not to blood mercury concentration. The urinary excretion of β-galactosidase activity was closely associated with urinary mercury concentration in the result of the multiple regression analysis. 4. The urinary β-galactosidase activity in exposed subjects increased as the urinary mercury increased, and in the exposed subjects with more than 50㎍/l of urinary mercury was highly related to urinary β-galactosidase activity(r=0.47, P<0.05). 5. Among exposed subjects with more than 50㎍/l of urinary mercury, 20.0% of them showed abnormal value of urinary β-galactosidase activity.

        한국어 명칭말하기 검사 개발과 타당도 및 신뢰도 평가

        Background: Confrontational naming test is useful in evaluating the language function. It reveals memory and cognitive processing dysfunctions in many neurologic diseases including dementia. Although the Korean version of the Boston Naming Test (K-BNT) has been a popular and useful test, it takes much time and effort in dementia patients of moderate to severe stage of disease or in elderly individual with low educational level. So we developed the Korean Naming Test (KNT). Methods: KNT consists of relatively easy 40 items. Each item was familar materials around us and simplified figures with black thick line. Ninety two of probable Alzheimer's patients received the Korean version of Mini-Mental State Examination (K-MMSE), the Korean version of expanded Clinical Dementia Rating Scale (CDR), K-BNT and KNT. We tested reliability and validity of KNT and also evaluated scores of the KNT along with CDR. Results: The KNT correlated with K-BNT [0.75(p;0.01)], CDR [-0.49(p;0.01)], K-MMSE [0.55(p;0.01)]. The internal consistency was 0.91 (Cronbach's alpha). The KNT score decreased as the disease progressed. Conclusions: The KNT is a brief and good test for evaluating language function of moderate to severe dementia patients with low educational level. Also it is sensitive to mild stage of disease and has a excellent reliability and validity.

      • 소성법에 의한 Li_(2)Ti_(3)O_(7)의 합성 및 리튬이차전지용 부극 물질로의 응용

        The ramsdellite, Li₂Ti₃O_(7) was prepared by reacting, in air, mixtures of Li₂CO₃ and TiO₂ by calcination at 1050℃, for 12 hrs and was examined a possibility to use as an anode material. Li₂Ti₃O_(7) showed a discharge capacity of 120~140 mAh/g with good cycle ability during the 20 charge/discharge cycles in a Li/1M LiPF6〔in EC-DEC (1:1 by volume)〕Li₂Ti₃O_(7) cell at a current density of 0.15 mA/㎠ and the voltage range 0.5 ~ 3.0V.

      • 재조합 BMP-7 유전자가 전달된 HEK 293 세포에 의한 누드 마우스에서의 뼈형성

        To induce bone formation at ectopic site by tissue engineering and gene therapy, we transplanted collagen sponges containing rhBMP-7 transduced HEK 293 cells in the hypodermis of nude mice. Bone formation was investigated by histological and electron microscopic method at 3, 6, and 9 weeks after transplantation. At 9 weeks after transplantation, eosinophilic bony tissue was observed in the implanted collagen sponge and was confirmed as bone tissue by Von Kossa stain. In the transmission electron microscopic observation, the cells in newly formed bone tissue had eccentrically located nucleus and well developed rough endoplasmic reticulum (rER). Therefore, the cells were evaluated as osteoblasts. Those results suggest that it is possible to form a bone tissue in the ectopic site by transplantation of rhBMP-7 transduced HEK 293 cells. This will be contributed to push more advanced gene therapy for bone formation. However, the HEK 293 cell is unable to apply to the clinical gene therapy. Therefore it is worth to find more compatible cells for clinical application. In addition, collagen sponge is considered as an excellent scaffold and/or carrier for gene therapy and a good biomaterial for tissue engineering.

      • 디지탈 필타 설계에서 이동 평균법을 사용한 잡음제거 특성에 관한 연구

        The smoothing method, which is one of the noisy signal processing techniques, is used in order to process the data corrupted with Gaussian White Noise using 5,7 and 9 size window functions. A simple convolution averaging, polynominal curve-fitting and adaptive smoothing methods are used for smoothing. The maximum size of the window function for the simple convolution averaging method is 7, which is about 1/3 of the total sequence, because of the obvious distortion to the original signal. The distortion characteristics of ploynominal curve-fitting method is better than that of the simple convolution averaging method even though the S/N ratio of it is degraded by 3.77 dB for the window size of 5 and 3.63dB for the window size of 9. It is found that the characteristics of filtering of adaptive smoothing method is the best for the 25 sequence data judging from distortion inducement.

      • 패켓망 X.75 구간의 THROUGHPUT 감소 요인과 개선책에 관한 연구

        The aim of CCITT (International an Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee) X.75 Recommendation is to provide an efficient international data communication for packet network subscribers. International calls (Virtual circuit) through the X.75 link are characterized with various parameters. The throughout class of the parameters associated with Packet transmission and receiving speed of terminals is most important parameter due to the efficiency of data transfer. Sometimes, users feel that the actual throughout is less than the assigned value, connected to oversea's packet terminal. It is also found that dominant factors are propagation and bit error rate delay. We propose that the dominent delay factors are minimized by using submarine cables instead of the satellites, and bigger window sizes in the link level. All the research and analysis in this paper have been done under the REAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

        This study describes an interframe image coding method using motion compensated and classified vector quantization(MC-CVQ). In motion compensated vector quantization(MCVQ), it is very important to encode the significant block. Therefore, we propose the MC-CVQ which encodes the significant block in the motion compensated error image by the classified vector quantizer. We classify the significant blocks according to the positions of the significant vectors, and also classify the significant vectors into 15 classes according to the positions of the significant pels. The computer simulation shows that the signal-to-noise ratio and the average bits of MC-CVQ are 0.2-0.25 bits/pel and 35 to 37 dB, respectively.
