      • Poster Session : PS 0831 ; Upper GI Tract : Clinical Factors to Predict Angiographically Detectable Non-Variceal Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding in Patients Refractory to Endoscopic Treatment

        Background: Non-variceal upper GI bleeding (NVUGIB) is a common medical problem that has signifi cant association with morbidity and mortality. Angiographic detection and subsequent transarterial embolization (TAE) is a primary treatment option when medical and endoscopic treatments fail. We investigated clinical factors that could affect the success of the angiographic detection and prognosis after TAE in patients with NVUGIB refractory to endoscopic therapy. Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinical data was done in patients with failed endoscopic treatment who underwent angiography for the treatment of acute NVUGIB between May 2002 and May 2013. Patients were divided into detection or non-detection groups according to the presence of bleeding stigmata in angiographic fi nding. Rebleeding defi ned as subsequent bleeding event within 7 days and mortality within 30days were analyzed as outcome parameters after TAE following detection in angiography. Results: A total 45 patients 37 (male, mean age, 65.9±14.9 years) were analyzed and classifi ed as a detection group (n=25, 55.5%) and non-detection group (n=20, 44.6%). Peptic ulcers were the most common cause of refractory NVUGIB. Larger transfusion amount (5.7±3.9 unit vs. 3.5±2.8 unit; P=0.03), prolonged aPTT level (34.2±17.3 sec vs. 21.8±13.8 sec; P=0.01) and short time interval between last endoscopy and angiography (17.5±25.9 hours vs. 34.3±59.5 hours; P=0.04) were found to be signifi cant factors for predicting angiographic detection. TAE was performed in all patients detected in angiography. Rebleeding (44%) was significantly associated with higher Rockall score (8.3±1.5 vs. 6.6±2.4; P=0.046) and mortality (12%) was signifi cantly associated with higher Rockall score (9.3±0.6 vs. 7.1±2.2; P=0.002) and higher level of BUN (55.3±47.4 vs. 27.6±17.4; P=0.01). Conclusions: Clinical characteristics associated with angiographic detection in patients with NVUGIB refractory to endoscopic therapy were severe bleeding, bleeding tendency and early angiographic intervention. The Rockall score is useful parameter for predicting rebleeding and mortality after TAE.

        글라스 아이오노머 수복재의 불소 유리 및 재흡수 양상

        이차 우식은 수복 실패의 주된 원인 중 하나로 지목되고 있으며, 이로 인해 빈번히 재수복을 하게 된다. 이차 우식은 항우식 작용이 있는 불소를 함유한 수복물을 사용하여 예방될 수 있다. 구강내에서 불소를 유리하는 것으로 알려진 글라스 아이오노머 수복재는 불소를 장기간 유리할 뿐 아니라 불소의 재충전 및 재유리 능력이 있어 불소의 저장소 역할을 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 통상의 글라스 아이오노머와 고점도 글라스 아이오노머 및 복합 레진을 대상으로 불소의 유리 양상과 불소도포를 통한 재흡수 후 유리 양상을 알아봄으로써 기존의 수복재와 새로운 수복재간의 임상적 유용성을 평가할 목적으로 시행하였다. 4종의 수복재를 대상으로 불소 유리량 및 2% NaF로 재충전 후 불소 유리량을 각각 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 실험 대상의 모든 글라스 아이오노머 수복재는 초기에 다량의 불소를 유리하고 이후 점차 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 2. 2% NaF 용액을 통한 재충전 후의 유리량은 Fuji IX, Ketac Fil, Ketac Molar, Z-100의 순으로 나타났다. 3. Fuji IX을 제외한 모든 실험 대상의 수복재에서 수분의 영향으로 표면 경도는 유의하게 감소하였고 불소 재충전 후 유리량은 수분 흡수와 비례하였다(P<0.05). 4. Fuji IX이 초기 유리량에 비해 재충전 후 더 많은 불소를 유리였다(P<0.05). The replacement of dental restorations due to secondary caries is a continuing problem in restorative dentistry. The secondary caries can be partly prevented by using fluoride containing dental materials such as glass ionomer cement, which releases and be recharged with fluoride ion acting as a fluoride reservoir. For the purpose of investigating the behaviors of fluoride release and recharge of conventional and high viscosity glass ionomer cements, the experiment was performed on the seven specimens each from 4 kinds of materials; 1 kind of conventional glass ionomer cement, 2 kinds of high viscosity glass ionomer cements and 1 kind of composite resin. The amount of fluoride release was measured over 7 days with pH/ion meter and fluoride specific electrode. After measuring daily fluoride release, the specimens were recharged with 2% NaF solutions for 4 minutes and measured for 3 days with recharging repeated two consecutive times. The results were as follows : 1. Significantly more fluoride was released at first day after recharge in all materials except Z-100. 2. High viscosity glass ionomer cements released more or nearly equal amount of fluoride after recharge compared with the initial release(P<0.05). 3. The fluoride release after recharge with 2% NaF solution was in order of Fuji IX, Ketac Fil, Ketac Molar, Z-100.

        유리의 조성에서 MgO, Li_2O의 함량변화가 유리침투 알루미나 세라믹 재료의 강도와 색조의 변화에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed to investigate the effect of composition changes in glasses on the strength and shade of glass-infiltrated alumina ceramics. Six different borosilicate glasses containing MgO, Li₂O and ZrO₂ in the glass composition were prepared, porous alumina compacts were prepared by slip casting and sintered at 1100℃ for 2 hours. Dense composites were made by infiltration of molten glass into partially sintered alumina at 1110℃ for 6 hours. Specimens were polished sequentially form #800 to #2000 diamond wheel, and the final surface finishing on the tensile side was received an additional polishing sequence through 0.3 ㎛ diamond paste. To evaluate the effect of composition change in glass on the shade changes of glass-infiltrated alumina core ceramics, the color was measured by the CIE L^*, a^*, b^* color scale relative to standard source C. The biaxial flexure strength was measured using the ball-on-three-ball method at a crosshead speed if 0.5mm/min. The color change of composites infiltrated with experimental glasses to In-Ceram Glass AL1 showed that L^* values increased but a^* and b^* values decreased with addition of MgO, Li₂O and ZrO₂ in the glass composition. Maximum color difference of experimental glass-infiltrated alumina core ceramics was obtained in the Group B containing 2.4 mol% MgO in the glass composition. The maximum biaxial flexure strength values 47.41 MPa was obtained in the Group E containing 0.3 mol% Li₂O in the glass composition. The observation of fracture surfaces indicated the microstructurally rough surface with a tendency of toughening by crack deflection and crack bridging.

        To improve efficiency, ITO/InP solar cells were firstly fabricated and characterized by employing ammonium sulfide passivation technique. Indium Tin Oxide was rf sputtered on the Zn doped (100) p-InP substrate. Our results showed that the short-circuit current was greatly increased and the open circuit voltage was also enhanced. Therefore, the expected performance improvement could be achieved.

      • 국내 뒤영벌족(Bombini)의 분포

        수입뒤영벌을 대체할 수 있는 값싼 국산뒤영벌을 개발하기 위한 기초자료로서 1995년부터 1997년까지 3월에서 10월까지 중부지방 및 남부지방을 중심으로 뒤영벌의 분포조사 및 밀원식물을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1995년부터 1997년까지 채집한 국내종 뒤영벌의 종수는 9종으로 뒤영벌속 7종; 좀뒤영벌, 호박벌, 삽포로뒤영벌, 우수리뒤영벌, 황토색뒤영벌, 참호박뒤영벌, 참뒤영벌과 떡벌속 2종; 대륙떡벌, 떡벌이었으며 방화가 확인된 밀원은 23종과 42종이었다. 6개의 주요도시에서 뒤영벌 여왕벌의 채집두수는 bombus ardens와 bombus ignitus가 각각 416두(72.9%)와 117두(20.5%) 채집되어 우점종이었으며, 뒤영벌의 채집시기는 각각 3월 20일∼7월 19일과 4월 7∼10.8일까지였다. 여왕벌의 중부 및 남부의 채집시기는 Bombus ardens가 부산과 지리산주변지역 및 수원지방이 3월 20일경, Bombus ignitus 외 5종은 수원 4월 7일경, 소백산·월악산과 인천 영흥도 4월 20일경, 대관령·평창 5월 20일경에 채집되어 지역에 따라 발생시기가 다르나 주로 발생초기에 채집되었다. 계절발생은 뒤영벌이 첫 출현은 진달래개화시기와 일치하며 3월에서 5월까지는 주로 진달래, 산괴불주머니, 철쭉 등을 방화하고, 6월과 7월에는 동자꽃, 비비추, 모감주나무 등 자생화를, 8월과 9월에는 무궁화, 황기, 코스모스 등을 방화하였다. Collection of domestic species of Bombini was made from March to October of 1995 to 1997 on middle and south part of Korea. The results obtained are as follows. Domestic species of Bombini, which are collected from the middle and south part of Korea from March through October of 1995 to 1997, were 9 species: seven Bombus; bombus ardens, bombus ignitus, bombus hypocrita sapporoensis, bombus ussurensis, bombus consobrinus wittenburgi, bombus koreanus, bombus opulentus and two Psithyrus; Psithyrus bonemicus, Psithyrus sylvestris popovi. 416heads(72.9%) of bombus ardens and 117heads(20.5%) of bombus ignitus were collected as the dominant species of Bombini at six major different regions. It was also found that Bombini visited 42 species of 23 Families for foraging. The collection of domestic species of Bombini in 1997 was made earlier than them in 1995 and 1996. Queens of bombus ardens were collected at the beginning stage of emergence; on the 20th of March 1997 in Pusan, Suwon and chiri Mt, queens of bombus ignitus and other species on the 7th of April 1997 in Suwon, on the 20th of April 1997 in Soback·Weolak Mt. and Inchun Younghwung Do and on the 20th of May 1997 in Daekyan Ryung·Pyungchang. The emergence of queens varied with region and species. As a phenology, the first emergence of bumblebees syncronized with the first blooming of Rhododendron mucronulatum. Bumblebees foraged on the Rhododendron mucronulatum. Corydalis speciosa, R. yedoense var. poukhanens in March to May, Lychnis cognata, Hosta longipes, Koelreuteria paniculata in June through July, and Hibiscus syriacus, Astragalus membranaceus, Cosmos bipinnatus in August through september.

        쌀과 전분을 이용한 증류식 소주의 급수 변화에 따른 수율 및 향미 연구

        Various volume of water for the optimal brewing condition of the Korean distilled liquor produced by liquefaction of rice and corn starch was investigated Pilot brewings were carried out by the liquefaction of 5㎏ of rice and 10㎏ of corn starch with 150%, 200% and 250% of water regarding the amount of rice and corn starch. The pH, alcohol production and total acidity were normal during the fermentation process. The yield was proportional to the amount of water added and the highest yield was obtained by 250% of water addition without loss of quality. All the test results were not significantly different by the one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test at p<0.05 and the flavor profiles were also not different according to the amount of water added. As a result, 250% of water addition was the most economical and optimal brewing condition in this study.

        이 논문은 MOSFET로 구성된 등가 Half-bridge형 고주파공진형 인버어터에 대해 기술하고 있다. 시분할 방식에 의한 게이트회로를 구성하여 구동함으로써 출력단에는 두개의 인버어터에서 동작되는 순시위상이 합성되어 있어 나타나므로 부하단 출력주파수는 소자의 수위칭주파수에 대해 두배가 되고 수위칭 손실이 경감되어 소자의 평균전류가 증가한다. This paper proposes a high frequency resonant inverter consisting of equivalent half bridge model using MOSFET. In this paper time-sharing control method is applied. as a result the output frequency is two times as high as switching frequency of device and average current of device is increased because of decreasing switching loss.

      • 감잎(Diospyros kaki folium)의 Polyphenol 화합물군이 면역기능에 미치는 영향

        한국산 감잎(Diospyros kaki folium)으로부터 polyphenol 화합물을 분리하여, 감잎의 기능성 식품으로서의 근거를 제시하고자, 면역기능의 활성화에 관한 실험을 행한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 감잎의 폴리페놀 화합물이 면역기능에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험에서는 감잎으로부터 분리된 폴리페놀 화합물 Ⅰ, Ⅱ 및 Ⅲ에 비하여 시료를 투여한 군에서 항체생산이 증가되었으며, 특히 폴리페놀 화합물 Ⅱ와 Ⅲ에서 높은 유의성을 나타내었다. Rosette 형성의 결과에서도 감잎의 폴리페놀 화합물 Ⅱ와 Ⅲ을 투여한 군에서 분리된 비장과 복강 상재성 마크로파지에서 rosette 형성능이 높은 것으로 나타났다. Candida에 대한 시료의 탐식능을 관찰한 결과, 대조군에 비하여 fraction Ⅰ은 70%, Ⅱ는 76.8% 및 Ⅲ은 93%의 탐식능의 효과를 나타내었다. 또한, 면역기능을 담당하는 기관인 비장에 관한 세포증식능을 실험한 결과 대조군에 비하여 시료를 투여한 모든 군에서 비장세포가 증가하였으며, 시료의 농도가 증가할수록 세포증식도 증가되는 경향을 나타내었다. This study was conducted to investigate immuno functional activity of the ployphenol fractions isolated from persimmom leaves(Diospyros kaki folum). In the experiment of rosette forming cell, the results showed that all the polyphenol fractions enhanced the cell count compared with the control group. Especially polyphenol fraction Ⅱ and Ⅲ showed highly significant effect. The phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophage on mice was significantly increased by the polyphenol fractions of the persimmon leaves compared with that of the control group. The gagocytic activity of polyphenol fraction Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ oagainst the C. parapsilosis was 26.4%, 72% and 82.3% respectively. The pagocytic activity of the same fractions against the C. albicans was 70%, 76.8% and 93% respectively.

      • 한국 약용식물부터 폴리폐놀류군의 분리 및 기능성화장품소제로서의 응용

        For develope the functional cosmetic material. we extracted the Korean persimmon leaves in 80% ethanol solution and isolated fraction I, II, III, to use Sephadex LH-20 column. Their polyphenol quantity was 20%, 70%, 82.8% individually and fraction II, III had polyphenol which included a many flavan-3-ol skeleton structure. We investigated various biological activity such a tyrosinase, xanthin oxidase inhibition, SOD-like acivity and DPPH. Inhibitory effect of tyrosinase was inhibited 51.7%, 74.7% at 50 ppm, 500 ppm of the fraction III and SOD-like activity increased quickly at 500ppm of the fraction II, III. DPPH effect had 80% electron donate ability at 50 ppm all of the fraction and xanthin oxidase was more inhibited 80% at 50 ppm of fraction II, III. These results showed possibility that polyphenols of the Korean persimmon leaves become the functional cosmetic ingredient
