<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This work deals with the problem of robust finite-time dissipativity based fault-tolerant controller design for a class of Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems in a network environment against system uncertainties, external disturbances and nonlinear actuator failures. Specifically, an actuator fault model consisting both linear and nonlinear faults is developed during the reliable control design. By employing Lyapunov technique together with Wirtinger based integral inequalities, a new set of delay-dependent sufficient conditions is established which assures that the resulting closed-loop system is finite-time bounded and finite-time ( Q , S , R ) − μ dissipative. Based on the established sufficient conditions, the reliable control design parameters are determined by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Moreover, the performances of <I>H</I> <SUB>∞</SUB>, sector bounded and mixed <I>H</I> <SUB>∞</SUB> and passivity can be obtained as the special cases from the established result. In the end, two numerical examples, one of them is based on a mass-spring-damper system in a network environment, are presented to display the effectiveness, less conservativeness and advantage of the developed design technique.</P>
Creep Properties of Intercritical Heat Treated Boron Added Modified 9Cr–1Mo Steel

Creep properties of intercritically heat-treated (ICHT) boron free modified 9Cr–1Mo steel (P91-IC) and boron containingmodified 9Cr–1Mo (P91B-IC) steel have been studied at 923 K over a stress range of 50–120 MPa. Minimum creep rate ofthe P91B-IC steel was significantly lower than the P91-IC steel. Stress exponent and threshold stress values in P91-IC andP91B-IC steels were found to be 6.5 and 28 MPa, and 8.7 and 38 MPa respectively. P91B-IC steel has exhibited higher creeprupture life than the P91-IC steel. Higher creep rupture strength in the P91B-IC steel as compared to P91-IC steel has beenattributed to the presence of stable M23C6precipitates at the lath boundaries and other high angle boundaries. The creeprupture strengths of both the ICHT steels were lower than the respective base metal.
Dissipativity based repetitive control for switched stochastic dynamical systems

<P>This paper addresses the issues of dissipativity analysis and repetitive control synthesis for a class of switched stochastic dynamical systems with time-varying delay. By using the lifting technique, the considered one dimensional model is converted into a continuous-discrete stochastic two dimensional delayed model to describe the control and learning actions of the repetitive controller. By employing stochastic system theory together with Lyapunov function technique, a new set of sufficient conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is established such that the switched stochastic system in two dimensional delayed model is mean square asymptotically stable and (Q, S, R)-dissipative. Then, the desired repetitive controller is designed by solving a convex optimization problem established in terms of LMIs. More precisely, repetitive controllers with H-infinity, passivity and mixed H-infinity and passivity performances can be obtained as the special cases for the considered system. Finally, numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and potential of the developed design technique. (C) 2016 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.</P>

In this paper we prove the existence of mild soultions for semilinear differential equations in a Banach space. The results are obtained by using the semigroup theory and the Schaefer fixed point theorem. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

<P>This paper deals with the problem of finite-time passivity-based H-infinity resilient reliable state feedback sampled-data control for Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems with randomly occurring uncertainties and gain variations, where the randomly occurring characteristics are designed by stochastic variables satisfying the Bernoulli distribution. The main objective of this paper is to design a resilient reliable sampled-data controller such that the resulting closed-loop system is finite-time bounded and satisfies finite-time mixed H-infinity and passive performance index gamma. Based on the constructed Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and Wirtinger integral inequality, some delay-dependent sufficient conditions are derived for achieving the required result of the considered systems. Moreover the derived finite-time stability conditions are established in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be solved by Matlab LMI toolbox. A novel homogeneous assay method was put forth for simultaneous sensing of fluoroquinolone derivatives (FQs) in water utilizing the upconversion fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) process based on the competitive reaction between dissolved FQs and labeled AuNPs for FQs Mab connected UCPs. The prepared size-tunable β-NaLuF4:Yb,Er,Gd upconversion phosphors (UCPs) were functionalized with carboxylic acid (COOH-) and monoclonal antibody (Mab, C2F3C2) to act as a donor. The gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) labeled with the corresponding antigen (ciprofloxacin-BSA) take the role of an acceptor. Under optimized conditions, the limit of detections (LODs) for three common FQs, enrofloxacin (ENR), ciprofloxaxin (CIP), and norfloxacin (NOR), were 0.19-0.32ng/mL based on 3σ. The recoveries were found to be in the range of 73.5-114.5% (normalized value according to the cross-reactivity of Mab) for water samples (tap water, pond water and river water). The proposed approach possesses significant advantages as follows: (i) simple procedure (only one step) without washing and separation steps, and no sample pretreatment other than filtration; (ii) fast liquid-phase kinetics with shortened incubation time; and (iii) high tolerance to various interfering substances. All of which indicated its potentiality as an efficient biosensor towards the monitoring of FQs in aquatic environments.
