        This experiment was investigated in the reacter of trickle bed with spherical particles. Flow of fluid and pressure drop were measured and analyzed in the air-water system. The results showed that liquid velocity at trickle-pulse transition increased with increasing packing size, and It decreased with decreasing gas velocity, and that theoretical model proposed was well applicable to predicted flow transition boundary. In the same operation conditions, Flow of fluid was changed with operation mode because of liquid closslinking. Therefore, As the maximum gas velocity increased, Pressure drop increased. Also pressure drop increased with increasing fluid velocity, and It increased with decreasing packing size, and the effect of gas velocity on the pressure drop for higher liquid velocity was less than that for lower liquid velocity in this conditions, Correlations in the flow of fluid and pressure drop can show in terms of Reynolds Number of gas and liquid phase.

      • 花卉의 適地生産 安定化와 農家所得增大를 위한 切花의 品質保存과 壽命延長에 관한 硏究 : The delayed longevity and qualtity preservation of cut rose and carnation flowers

        This study was conducted to determine the optimum PH of vase water, buffer composition, effect of adding sucrose and/or 8-hydro-xyquinoiline(8-HQS), soaking hours and solution concentration using three varieties of rose and carnation. PH level of vase water was controlled from PH 2 to PH 7 at 1 intervals. Five kinds of buffer solutions were used. Cut flowers were soaked for 30 min, 12 hours, 24 hours and through experiments with concentration of M/10 and M/50. 1. In rose, fresh weight was increased, leaf wilting percentage and bent neck percentage were lower and fresh degree of flower were higher in PH 3. 2. In carnation 'Nora' and 'Kumkang pink', Fresh weight and fresh degree of flower were best in PH 3. Other investigations, however were best in PH 2 and PH 3. All investigations in 'Scarlet Valley' were best in PH 2. 3. Higher amount of water uptake in rose was observed in distilled were followed by PH 3. While PH2 and destilled water in carnation were good in decreased oder. All investigations were undesivable when PH levels were increased. 4. Buffer solution composed of citric acid and potassium citrate showed good results. 5. When added sucrose or 8-HQS alone and both of them to citricacid buffer no effects were shown, Compared to citric acid buffer alone. 6. Higher concentration and longer soaking hours showed good results and 30min. soaking also showed it's effect.

      • 夏節期中의 琴湖江 本流에 對한 水質現況調査

        In order to investigate the water quality of the Kumho river, 7 sampling stations were chosen as the sampling site along the main stream. The result of the experiment are as follow; 1. In spite of the increasing flow by the rainfall, the concentration of DO showed lower than that of saturated DO except for downstream of Yeungchun dam, and showed DO sag at Gangchang bridge, particularly. 2. The concentration of BOD at Gangchang bridge showed 13.3㎎/ℓ, which exceeded the fifth grade of environmental criteria(BOD 8㎎/ℓ), in spite of the increasing flow by the rainfall. 3. The concentration of NH₃-N, NO₃-N did not showed adversely, which was the highest at Gangchang bridge and Paldal bridge, respectively. Also, the concentration of PO₄-P The highest at Gangchang bridge. 4. The concentration of heavy metals contained river water at Gangchang bridge was higher than that of other sites as(expressed in ㎎/ℓ)Cu:0.27, Cd:0.034, Mn:0.081, Fe:1.742, Zn:0.684, Cr:1.018, respectively. 5. The total bacterial counts were enumerated the highest as 3.0× 10^(7)cfu/ml at Ayang bridge and decreased when the sampling sites are changed from upstream to downstream. MPN appeared the maximum(24,000) at downstream of Yeungchun dam and the minimum(4,500) at Gangchang bridge.

        The Marschak Interaction method (MIM0 is technique developed to provide a structured way of measuring various aspects of the relationship between a parent and a child. It is a powerful tool, providing a "bonding assessment" that identifies both positive and negative aspect of the interactions between parent and child. It can be used as a diagnostic tool in a therapy situation, to help evaluate the effectiveness of treatment when used pre-and post-therapy, to help document any change between individuals in an experimental research situation, or to help provide a measure of change over time in longitudinal studies. There are very few other structured observation tool that provide such an opportunity to observe the kind of problem behaviors that are encountered in typical mother-child situations, the way a parent triggers, responds to, or handles a situation as it emerges. The potential value of this tool is wide ranging, and the MIM is likely to gain greater use as it becomes more widely known.

        This paper studied cladding thickness that is the most important parameter when optical divices are fabricated with polished single mode optical fiber. When a drop of liquid with appropriate index oil is placed on the polished surface of the single mode optical fiber, guided mode of optical fiber is coupled in the liquid index oil. This coupling induces additional loss of the guided mode. These losses vary with the evanescent field in the cladding, and it is proportioned to thickness of polished cladding, so we can get cladding thickness by the measurement of loss, during optical fiber is polished.

      • 放射線 檢出機의 國産化開發硏究 : Gas-flow型 比例計數管 Gas-flow type Proportional Countre

        In proportional counters the amount of ionization per discharge is a function of the primary ionization as well as of the tube characteristics and operating conditions. This paper described a construction for gas-flow proportional counter and pre-amp with use of domestic propane gas. Using propane gas in this gas-flow counter, the slope of plateau was 2.2%/100V, plateau regions were 4100∼4500V, operating voltage was 4300V and counting efficiency was 11.2%. We found that the possibility of constructing an efficient transisterlized gas-flow type proportional counter using inexpensive domestic propane gas.

      • 무정자증과 핍정자증 남자 Y-염색체 SRY 유전자의 염기서열 분석

        In order to study the genetic causes of sterility in azoospermia and severe oligospermia, we investigated the sequences of the SRY (sex determining region of Y chromosome) gene that is known to determine the maleness of human. A 609 bp fragment of SRY open reading frame, containing the entire known SRY, was amplified from genomic DNA with primers XES2 and XES7. It was amplified from genomci DNA of one normal man, three azoospermic man and four severe oligospermic man. These amplified DNAs were subcloned for DNA sequencing. In this study, we found that normal, azoospermic and severe oligospermic men had the base of thymine at 155th codon region, while SRY sequence study by Sinclair et al. (1990) showed the base of cytosine. As a result, C → T transition mutation at 155th codon in SRY gene coding region had occurred but there was no change in the amino acid sequence [serine (AGC) → serine (AGT)]. It seems that the polymorphism in the coding region of SRY gene was found in Korean population for the first time.

        To obtain basic data for the treatment of dye-waste water, the coagulation of the disperse and acid-dye solution was invesitigated by using coagulant, Al₂(SO₄)₃1₄8H₂O, as a tertiary treatment. Satisfactory coagulation of the disperse (RN-Blue GLS and Dianix Black HGFS) dye was observed by dosage of 25-37.5 mg/l of coagulant in the pH range 5-9. But the acid dye (Metanil yellow) was not removed about 30% in the optimum experimental conditions. The coexistence of sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate of less then 100 mg/l on the coagulation was not appreciably affected.
