      • 두경부 편평세포암종의 예후 인자에 관한 연구

        Examination was performed on a series of 37 patients who were confirmed to squamous cell carcinoma and its lymphatic metastasis by biopsy. Correlations of metasiatsis and other factors such as aginogenesis, histologic grading, and expression of p53 and ras oncogene were studied. The depth of tumors is around 1 to 27mm. 20 caseas were showed the depth of more than 10mm, of which 17cases were showed the lymphatic metastasis. Total score of histologic grading including keratinization, atypia, growth pattern and intensity of inflammation is ranged from 5 to 10 points. Of these factors, atypia with intensity of inflammtion, and atypia with growth pattern is correlated with atypia each. For angiogenesis, number of new formed vessels were counted 13 to 58 each. 28 cases shown the lymphatic metastasis. No correlation with histologic grading and lymphatic metastasis was found. The results of immunohistochemical staining for p53 and ras oncogene revealed that positive case is 16 and 22, negative for 21 and 15 each. Both were not correlated with histologic grading and lymphatic metastasis. Above results were reaveled that angiogenesis is not correlated with lymphatic metastasis in squamous cell carcinoma arising in head and neck region. Atypia with intensity of inflammtion and dyplasia with growth pattern are, however, correlated with histlogic grading, which suggest that more careful and adequate advice is needed to clinician.

        새만금지역 하구갯벌의 유기물 분해능력 평가

        갯벌내 미생물에 의한 유기물 분해능력을 조사하기 위하여 환경특성이 다른 세지점의 갯벌을 대상으로 분해능력을 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 갯벌의 입도조성은 육상기원 퇴적물의 영향이 상대적으로 큰 만경강과 동진강 하구 갯벌이 하제갯벌보다 전체적으로 입도조성이 작았다. 갯벌의 유기물 분해능력은 초기에는 아주 느리게 일어났으며, 유기물 분해율은 동진강 하구갯벌에서 87.63%, 만경강 하구갯벌에서 86.36%, 하제갯벌에서 85.88%로 나타났고, 시험수 자체의 유기물 분해율은 27.5∼30%로 나타났다. 유기물 분해속도(K')는 동진강 갯벌이 1.364day^-1, 만경강갯벌이1.080day^-1, 하제갯벌이 0.735day^-1로 나타나, 축산폐수의 영향을 많이 받고 유기물함량이 상대적으로 높은 동진강 하구 갯벌에서 높은 유기물 분해속도상수를 나타냈다. 해수중에서의 유기물 분해량을 뺀 순수한 갯벌 미생물에 의해 유기물 분해량은 동진강 하구갯벌이 0.4㎎/g/day, 만경강 하구갯벌이 0.36㎎/g/day 및 하제갯벌이 0.36㎎/g/day로써 평균 0.37㎎/g/day이었다. 단위면적당 유기물 분해량을 계산하기 위해 1ha당 표층 0.1㎝ 에서만 미생물이 작용하고, 갯벌의 비중을 2.5g/㎤으로 가정하여 1ha당 유기물 제거능력을 산출한 결과 9.25㎏/ha로 추정되었다. 갯벌의 유기물 분해속도는 유기물 함량을 간접적으로 나타내는 IL, COD_sed, TC와 높은 양의 상관성(R^2=0.97∼1.00)을 보였고, 물리적인 특성인 입도와는 입도조성이 작을수록 분해속도가 높게 나타났다. This study was conducted to estimate the decomposition capacity for organic matter by microbe of tidal flat sediments (Hajae, Dongjin and Mankyung). The decomposition rate constants (K') have been determined by Thomas slope method and compared with the values of each tidal flats. The decomposition rates of organic matter by microbe were initially very slow, but at the end of 12 hours, very sharply increased. The values of decomposition rate constant for Dongjin, Mankyung and Hajae tidal flat sediment were 1.364day^-1, 1.080day^-1 and 0.735day^-1, respectively. The decomposition rate constant of Dongjin tidal flat sediment which affected by livestock wastewater was higher than others. The decomposition quantity (mg/g/day) of organic matter by microbe of tidal flat sediments were 0.4㎎/g/day for Dongjin, 0.36㎎/g/day for Mankyung and 0.36㎎/g/day for Hajae. The average of decomposition quantity was 0.37㎎/g/day. To calculate purification capacity (㎏/ha) of organic matter by microbe, we applied to two assumption ; 1) biological action by microbe is occur within 0.l㎝ under surface 2) specific gravity of sediment are 2.5g/㎤. The purification capacity of organic matter by microbe of tidal flat sediment was calculated to 9.25kg/ha. The relationships between decomposition rate constant (K^1) and ignition loss (I.L.), chemical oxygen demand by sediment (COD_sed), total carbon (TC), silt and clay as index of organic matter were a high positive (R^2=0.97∼1.00).

      • 담즙정체성 간염의 임상적 양상

        Background: Cholestatic hepatitis is failure of bile to reach the duodenum with hepatocellular damage and no demonstrable obstruction of the major bile ducts. The prognosis is usually good with recovery in less than 4 weeks after withdrawal of the offending drug. However, a prolonged course lasting over 3 months is possible and, in rare cases, progression to ductopenia with development of a vanishing bile duct syndrome occurs. A differential diagnosis with other causes of Chronic liver disease is needed. Materials and Methods: From January 1991 through Jaunary 2000, 14 patients diagnosed as cholestatic hepatitis by liver biopsy were inclouded. The possible causative drug, clinical features, laboatory findings, and progression of cholestatic hepatitis were evaluated. The semiquantitative study of liver lesions was performed by two independent observers. Results: Causes of cholestatic hepatitis are 5 cases of oriental medicine, 3 cases of anti-tuberculosis medication, 1 case of ticlopidine and antibiotics and 4 cases of unknown causes. The clinical features of cholestatic hepatitis were jaundice, itching, urine color change, and general weakness. During 6 to 30 months, LFT of 5 patients showed prolonged elevation. Elevated total cholesterol ≥250 mg/dL in 6 patients, pheripheral blood eosinophilia in 5 patients, auto-antibody positive in 6 patients were observed respectively. The biopsies showed intralobular bilirubinostasis with a mixed portal inflammatory infiltration. Conclusion: In cholestatic hepatitis. durations of abnormal LFT are variable regardless of causative drugs. If cholestatic hepatitis progresses toward chronic course, viral hepatitis, primary biliary cirrhosis, and autoimmune hepatitis should be differentially diagnosed and sequential liver biopsies are needed.

        갯벌의 수직적 환경 특성

        갯벌의 오염물질 정화능력 평가를 위한 기초조사로서 환경적 특성이 다른 3지점 갯벌을 채취하여 수직적인 물리, 화학적 특성을 조사하였다. 갯벌의 입도특성을 보면, 금강하구에 위치한 어은리 갯벌의 니질 함량이 98.89%를 보인 반면 충남 서천에 위치한 춘장대갯벌은 모래함량 97.99%를 나타내었다. 새만금지구 내 위치한 계화도 갯벌은 니질 32.81%, 사질 67.19%로 나타나났다. 갯벌의 화학적인 특성은 니질 함량이 높은 어은리 갯벌에서 유기물 관련인자(IL, COD, POC)가 다른 두 갯벌 보다 3∼4배 높았으며, 각 지점에서 층별 농도 분포는 아래로 갈수록 약간 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 상관분석 결과 중 갯벌의 유기오염물질과 관련 있는 인자인 I.L., COD 및 POC, PON 사이에는 0.821∼0.940의 높은 상관성이 있었다. 또한 pH는 COD, PON 및 POC와 0.9 이상의 높은 상관성을 나타냈다. 갯벌의 층별 투수실험 결과 춘장대 갯벌은 평균 투수 계수가 0.01584㎝/s로서 투수량이 18.66ml/min이었다. 하지만 어은리 및 계화도 갯벌은 거의 투수되지 않았다. As one of the fundamental survey to evaluate purification capacity of pollutants at the tidal flat sediments, we studied vertical environmental characteristics in three tidal flat sediments, Chunjangdae, Eueunri and Gyewhado. These are dissimilar to external feature in each other. The results of this study may be summarized as followed; As the results of particle analysis, Eueunri tidal flat sediment located in Keum river estuary consists of 98.98% as silt & clay, Chunjangdae tidal flat sediment located in SeocheonGun consists of 97.99% as sand. And Gyewhado tidal flat sediment located in Saemankeum area consists of 32.81% as silt& clay and 67.19% as sand. The concentration of organic pollutants(I.L., COD, POC, PON) in Eueunri tidal flat sediment which highly content of silt & clay were 3∼4 times higher than others. The concentration of organic pollutants at each layer were slightly increase goes with deepen layer. The linear correlation between I.L. and COD, POC, PON were obtained. Correlation coefficients were in range of 0.821∼0.940. Also the correlation between pH and COD, POC, PON were high(>r=0.9). Filteration rate in Chunjangdae tidal flat sediment was 0.01584㎝/s as mean value, but the other were almost nothing filtered off.

        As the interest in internet business increases, effective web site evaluation is in order. While web site evaluation is supposed to be based on feasible applicability and trust-worthy criteria, many researches on web site evaluation fails to cover the various business models and consider corporate-activity-related features. Besides, dealing with the limited aspects such as design and cognitive science is something to be desired on the previous researches. Therefore, This paper presents internet web site evaluation framework not only based on existing researches and analysis but also reflecting corporate strategies. The framework includes web sites contents, design, operation and management-related factors, and it is applied to companies to validate its applicability.

      • 코일과 클립을 선택적으로 적용해서 성공적으로 치료했던 다발성뇌동맥류 1례 : A case report

        The author report a case of multiple cerebral aneurysm successfully treated with an appropricate selection of surgical clipping and coil embolization. A 64 years old female patient was admitted with stuporous consciousness. Initial 3D CT angiography showed diffuse subrarachnoid hemorrhage on the basal cisterns, saccular aneurysms on the terminal basilar artery and right middle cerebral artery(MCA). Converntional angiography confirmed the ruptured aneurysm was basilar one. Coil embolization was perfromed on the basilar aneurysm with 6 Guglielmi detachable coils(GDC) on the 3 days after ictus. Sugical clipping was done on the unruptured right MCA aneurysm on 10 days after ictus without any morbidity. Each treatment modalities can be appropriate indicated for the coiling or clipping aneurysms.

        Strategic approach methods which make successful introduction of EC are required for the enlargement of EC for business competence and stabilization. The primary purpose of this study is to suggest the EC strategy classification in the level of business strategy for the enlargement of business competence, and to show the EC service classification and EC marketing strategy in the level of function strategy. Secondly, I want to practise the three following verifications to establish unity between two strategies (EC strategy classification and EC marketing strategy), and one classification (EC service classification). I verify the difference between the EC service classifications according to EC strategy classification in verification one. I verify the difference between the EC marketing strategies according to the EC strategy classification in verification two. I verify the difference between the EC service classification according to the marketing strategy. By these verifications, it is possible to establish the business strategy (which is the upper strategy) and the practice strategy (which is the under strategy) for the business which wants the introduction of EC.

        섬유송출 유압구동부 급제동시 발생하는 충격상승압 흡수장치에 관한 연구

        The equipment of textiles let off is a part of inspection machine which inspects finished textiles and it checks up textiles through that. This study suggests a method to select the capacity and initial gas pressure of accumulator to control surge rising pressure occurring when suddenly braking action to a desired degree. An accumulator in hydraulic systems is hydraulic machinery which store kinetic energy of inertia body during braking. A series of computer simulations were done for the brake action. The results of the simulation work were compared with those of experiments.

        백서 뇌에서 전기경련 충격에 의해 발현이 조절되는 새로운 유전자

        연구목적: 이 연구는 백서 뇌에서 전기경련 충격(Electroconvulsive shock, ECS)에 의해 발현이 조절되는 새로운 유전자를 검색하고, 발달단게 및 뇌 조직에 따른 발현양상을 관찰하기 위하여 시행되었다. 방법: 생후 7일, 21일된 어린 웅성 백서에 전기경련 충격을 가한 후 mRNS differential display-PCR(DD-PCR) 기법을 시행하여 발현의 차이를 나타내는 유전자를 검색한 후 서열분석을 실시하였다. 생후 7일 및 21일된 백서의 뇌와 성년 백서의 대뇌피질, 해마를 이용한 Northern blot 분석을 시행하여 검색된 유전자의 ECS 처치 후 시간경과에 따른 유전자 발현양상을 관찰하였다. 결과: ECS 처치군과 위충격군간에 발현의 차이를 나타낸 유전자 4개를 검색할 수 있었으며, 이중 ECS에 의해 발현이 증가되는 1개의 유전자를 선정하여 서열분석을 실시한 결과 EST 서열만이 보고된 새로운 유전자임이 밝혀졌다. 이 유전자는 생후 7일된 백서의 뇌에서는 ECS 처치 후 180분에 발현양의 증가가 최고치에 도달하였으나, 생후 21일된 백서의 뇌와 성년백서의 대뇌피질 및 해마에서는 360분 경과시까지 지속적으로 발현 양이 증가하였다. 결론: 이같은 결과는 ECS에 의해 생체 내에서 유전자 발현의 조절이 이루어짐을 시사하며, 향후 이러한 유전자의 세포 내 기능에 관한 연구를 시행함으로써, ECS에 의한 생체의 반응과 치료기전에 대한 이해를 넓힐 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 중심단어:전기경련 충격·DD-PCR·유전자·백서 뇌. Objectives: This study was performed to identify genes regulated by electroconvulsive shock (ECS) and to observe the pattern of expression of genes according to different developmental stages and brain regions. Method: ECS(130V, 0.5 sec) was given to male Sprague-Dawley rats with age of postnatal day 7 and 21(P7, P21 respectively). After screening genes regulated by ECS with mRNA diffe-rential display-PCR(DD-PCR), we selected one clone among them and observed the induction of this gene after ECS by time-dependent Northern blot analysis of rat brain of P7, P21 and adult rat cortex and hippocampus. Results: By DD-PCR method, we have identified four clones whose expression was regulated by ECS. Among them, one(CP 10-2) was proved to be a new gene by sequencing and BLAST search. Its expression was increased after ECS in P7, P21, and adult rat brain. The expression of CP 10-2 reached peak level at 180 minutes after ECS in P7 rat brain, but was further increased until 360 minutes after ECS in P21 and adult rat brain. Conclusion: In this study, a new gene was identified in rat brain which showed up-regulated expression in response to ECS. Cloning and characterization of this new gene would be helpful to elucidate the effect of ECS in rat brain. KEY WORDS:Electroconvulsive shock·Differential display-PCR·Gene·Rat brain.
