        Ziprasidone의 자연적 임상경험에 대한 후향적 조사 연구 : 3개 대학병원의 경험

        Objectives : This naturalistic retrospective study investigated the effectiveness of ziprasidone measured by mean improve-ments of the Cltnical Global Impression (CGI-I). Secondary objectives included prescribing patterns, tolerability and safety. Methods : From May to July 2006, 98 psychiatric patients who have been taking ziprasidone for at least 2 weeks were selected. Their current clinical statuses were assessed by the interview and laboratory tests including electrocardiogram (ECG). Data on DSM-IV diagnoses, dosing, concomitant psychotropic medications, clinical changes, adverse effects, and laboratory findings were collected retrospectively. Results : Ziprasidone was mostly prescribed for a switch from another antipsychotics for the treatment of schizophrenia. Two main reasons for a switch were unsatisfactory efficacy and poor tolerance, especially weight gain, of the preceding anti-psychotic medication, Participants as a whole showed mean 2.7±1.0 of the CGI-Improvement. Significant weight reduction after switching to ziprasidone occurred, which was related to the clinical improvement. No significant increase of the QTc interval except one case was observed. Conclusion : The present study confirmed previous tolerability and safety data of ziprasidone as well as the results of its effectiveness.

      • 화학적 변성전분 및 라면 전분질의 In Vitro 소화율

        식품에 사용되는 화학적 변성전분류와 acetyl화 전분이 사용된 라면의 돼지 췌장 a-amylase에 의한 in vistro소화율 (37℃에서 6시간)을 비교하였다. Native potato starch와 acetylated potato starch의 가수분해율은 각각 64.5%와 59.3%, native와 hydroxypropylated corn starch는 70.5%와 60.4%, 그리고 native와 hydroxypropylated corn starch는 70.5%와 60.4% 그리고 native와 hydroxypropylated high amylose corn starch는 65.2%와 57.3%로서 native한 것들이 유도체들보다 높았다. Waxy corn starch들의 소화율은 pregelatinized(74.3%)>native(72.1%)>acetylated(66.5%)>acetyl distarch adipate(56.4%)hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate(50.7%)의 순으로 감소하였다. 국내에서 생산, 판매되고 있는 5개 회사의 봉지라면과 용기라면에 대한 실험에서는 실제 조리조건에서 소화율에 유의적 차이를 보이지 않았다. 결론적으로 화학적 변성전분의 소화율은 천연전분보다 낮지만 상용식품에서의 사용량이 매주 낮으므로 식품 섭취에 따른 전분질의 소화율에서 큰 영향을 미치지 않을 것으로 판단된다. The hydrolyzability of chemically modified starches and ramen staches was determined by hog pancreatic a-amylase in vistro test. The extents of hydrolysis were 64.5% and 59.3% in native and acetylated potato starch, 70.5% and 60.4% in native and hydroxypropylated corn starch, and 65.2% and 57.3% in native and hydroxypropylated high amylose corn starch, respectively. The hydrolysis extents of waxy corn starch derivatives were shown in the descending order of pregelatinized (74.3%)>native (72.1%)>acetylated (66.5%)>acetyl distarch adiphate (56.4%)>hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate (50.7%). In the test on starches of container and regular ramen cooked by practical way, no significant difference was observed between ramen products of five different makers. Althrough the hydrolysis rate and extent of chemically modified starches were lower than those of native starches, the digestibility of ramen seemed to be not affected in the common diet as the use level of modified starch was relatively low.

        We experienced a case of acute pyelonephritis which progressed to Escherichia coli bacteremia and later complicated by empyema in a 65-year-old female. She was successfully treated with intravenous antibiotic therapy and percutaneous drainage of empyema.

      • Biodiversity of Rice field Spiders

        Community and guild structures were investigated in 5 regions (Cheorwon, Icheon, Buan, Haenam, Ulsan) in 2016.A total of 4,806 spiders were collected and identified as 73 species of 48 genera in 17 families. Species compositionand abundance were high in Linyphiidae, Tetragnathidae and Lycosidae. Average species richness index was 28.27±0.72,abundance was 320.40±28.41 and diversity index was 2.49±0.06. Guild of rice field spiders were categorized 8 ecologicallyfunctional groups; Space web builders, Wandering sheet weavers, Orb weavers, Ground runners, Ambushers, Stalkers, Sheetweb builders and Foliage runners. Their abundance was high in ground runners with 167.00±24.12 and low in sheet webbuilders with 0.73±0.23. In species diversity, ground runners was high with 1.30±0.07 and stalkers was low with 0.31±0.09.

        A new crab spider (Araneae; Thomisidae) from Korea

        Two species of the genus Oxytate L. Koch, 1878 have been recorded in Korea to date. The spider fauna was surveyed in the mountainous terrain of Mt. Hallasan National Park in 2019. A female of Oxytate lobia sp. nov. was collected with a sweep net between shrubs in mixed forests during a seasonal spider survey and is described with measurements, morphological illustrations, and a diagnosis. The new species can be easily distinguished from similar species within the genus by the long copulatory duct conjugated with a spermatheca, a pair of triangular pits at the bottom, and no ditches.

      • Spider Community of River basin from Korea

        Spider community was surveyed at Nakdonggang River which is the longest river (525 km and 23,384 km2) located East-south part of Korea. Nakdonggang river is developing for water management and environmental conservation including restoration of river ecosystem under “The Four-River Restoration Project”. Sampling was made 3 occasions from June to August in 2009. Eight survey sites were selected from both sides of river in Andong, Sangju, Gumi and Seongju prefectures. Spiders were collected with sweep net for on the plants above ground and pitfall traps for on the ground. A total of 94 species of 71 genera in 24 families were identified from 805 collected spiders. Species richness was high in Salticidae (18 species, 19.1%), Araneidae (12 species, 12.8%), Lycosidae (9 species, 9.6%) in order. Wandering spiders (55 species occupied 58.5%, 493 individuals occupied 61.2%) were higher than webbing spiders (39 species occupied 41.5%, 493 individuals occupied 61.2%) in species richness and abundance. Dominant species were Tetragnatha praedonia (Tetragnathidae) and Neoscona adianta (Araneidae) in webbing spiders, and Anahita fauna (Ctenidae), Pirata procurvus (Lycosidae) and Gnaphosa kompirensis (Gnaphosidae) in wandering spiders with abundance. Collectively, most spiders collected from this study were water preferring spiders and showed different community structure compared to other reports from terrestrial spider fauna. Present result will bevaluable to compare the effect of development on the arthropod fauna after completion of the project.

        Two newly recorded Theridiid spiders (Araneae, Theridiidae) from Korea

        Many spiders belonging to Enoplognatha Pavesi, 1880 and Parasteatoda Archer, 1946 of Theridiidae were collected with sweep net between shrubs and bushes in the mountain forest during a survey of the mountain spider fauna. Among the spiders collected, male Enoplognatha gramineusa Zhu, 1998 and female Parasteatoda ryukyu (Yoshida 2000) were recognized as newly recorded spiders to Korean spider fauna. The present work describes these two spiders with measurements and morphological illustrations.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Three Linyphiid spiders, <I>Caviphantes pseudosaxetorum</I> Wunderlich, 1979, <I>Erigone edentata</I> Saito and Ono, 2001, and <I>Savignia kawachiensis</I> Oi, 1960, are reported for the first time from Korea with taxonomic illustrations and redescription. In this study, the genus <I>Caviphantes</I> Oi, 1960 is also newly recorded to Korean spider fauna.</P>

        Comparative analysis of terrestrial arthropod community and biomass in differently managed rice fields in Korea

        The present study was conducted to investigate the differences in managed farming practices, including low-intensive farming, duck farming, and golden apple snail farming, in a rice ecosystem by comparing terrestrial arthropod communities. A total of 75 species from 70 genera belonging to 43 families in 11 orders were identified from 9,622 collected arthropods. Araneae, Hemiptera, and Coleoptera were the richest taxa. Collembola was the most abundant, followed by Diptera, Hemiptera, and Araneae. Bray- Curtis similarity among the farming practices was very high (76.7%). The biodiversity of each farming practice showed a similar seasonality pattern. The richest species group was the predators, followed by the herbivores. The species richness and diversity of ecologically functional groups among the farming practices were not statistically significant, except for the abundance of predators in golden apple snail farming. The biodiversity seasonality of ecological functional groups in each farming practice showed similar patterns. The biomass of Araneae, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, and Diptera was greater than the other taxa, in general. The biomass of each ecological functional group showed little difference and the biomass fluctuation patterns in each farming practice were almost the same. Collectively, the community structures and biodiversity of terrestrial arthropods among the farming practices in the present study were not different. The present study may contribute to sustain rich biodiversity in irrigated rice fields and to advanced studies of food webs or energy flow structures in rice fields for ecological and sustainable agriculture.
