        ODD-EVEN GRACEFUL GRAPHS

        Sridevi, R.,Navaneethakrishnan, S.,Nagarajan, A.,Nagarajan, K. The Korean Society for Computational and Applied M 2012 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.30 No.5

The Odd-Even graceful labeling of a graph G with $q$ edges means that there is an injection $f:V (G)$ to $\{1,3,5,{\cdots},2q+1\}$ such that, when each edge $uv$ is assigned the label ${\mid}f(u)-f(v){\mid}$, the resulting edge labels are $\{2,4,6,{\cdots},2q\}$. A graph which admits an odd-even graceful labeling is called an odd-even graceful graph. In this paper, we prove that some well known graphs namely $P_n$, $P_n^+$, $K_{1,n}$, $K_{1,2,n}$, $K_{m,n}$, $B_{m,n}$ are Odd-Even graceful.

Distinctive response of maize (Zea mays L.) genotypes in vitro with the acceleration of phytohormones

        Sridevi Muppala,Pavan Kumar Gudlavalleti,Sreenu Pagidoju,Kodandarami Reddy Malireddy,Sateesh Kumar Puligandla,Premalatha Dasari (사)한국식물생명공학회 2020 JOURNAL OF PLANT BIOTECHNOLOGY Vol.47 No.1

In maize, immature embryos (IEs) are highly regenerative explants most suitable for producing high frequencies of plantlet regeneration in vitro. Apart from media, explants, and hormones, genotypic variation also influences in vitro characters to a great extent. In the present study, IEs were used to study the distinctive effect of variation of size/stage and hormones in different genotypes on five in vitro characters viz., frequency of callus induction, growth rate of total callus, frequency of E. callus induction, and volume and number of regenerated plantlets. LS medium with different concentrations of 2,4-D (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 4.0 and 5.0 mg/L) were used to study the former four in vitro characters, and medium with 6-benzylaminopurine and kinetin (0.5 mg/L, each) was used for plantlet regeneration. IEs of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 mm in size were isolated from four inbred lines viz., NM74C, NM81A, NM5883 and NM5884. Two-way ANOVA revealed that explant size and genotypes, as well as hormonal concentrations showed significant effects on in vitro characters. Two millimeter IEs were found to be suitable for in vitro cultures. LS medium with 1.5 mg/L 2,4-D and LS with BAP and Kn (0.5 mg/L, each) were found to be the best hormonal concentrations for callus induction, maintenance, and regeneration, respectively. Among the four genotypes, NM81A and NM5883 yielded more non-embryogenic and Type I E. calli. In contrast, NM74C and NM5884 yielded more highly regenerative Type II calli. Inbred line NM5884 was found to be the best among these four genotypes.

Synthesis and characterizations of (1-F) (NBT-BT)-FSBexT ceramics for NVRAM applications

Sridevi Swain,Pawan Kumar 한국물리학회 2016 Current Applied Physics Vol.16 No.9

(1-f) (0.93 Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-0.07 BaTiO3)-f Sr0.8Bi2.15Ta2O9/(1-f) (NBT-BT)-fSBexT (f ¼ 0, 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 wt %) ferroelectric ceramic samples were synthesized by solid state reaction technique. 1150 C for 4hr was optimized as the sintering temperature for all the ceramic samples. XRD, SEM, dielectric, leakage current, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties along with the ferroelectric fatigue behaviour under bipolar electrical loading of all the (1-f) (NBT-BT)-fSBexT ceramic samples were studied in detail. Incorporation of SBexT phase into the MPB composition of the NBT-BT system significantly affected the various studied properties. Improvement in leakage current density and better fatigue behaviour were observed in SBexT incorporated NBT-BT ceramic systems.

      • A Novel Approach to Predict the Longevity in Alzheimer's Patients Based on Rate of Cognitive Deterioration using Fuzzy Logic Based Feature Extraction Algorithm

Sridevi, Mutyala,B.R., Arun Kumar International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2021 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.21 No.8

Alzheimer's is a chronic progressive disease which exhibits varied symptoms and behavioural traits from person to person. The deterioration in cognitive abilities is more noticeable through their Activities and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living rather than biological markers. This information discussed in social media communities was collected and features were extracted by using the proposed fuzzy logic based algorithm to address the uncertainties and imprecision in the data reported. The data thus obtained is used to train machine learning models in order to predict the longevity of the patients. Models built on features extracted using the proposed algorithm performs better than models trained on full set of features. Important findings are discussed and Support Vector Regressor with RBF kernel is identified as the best performing model in predicting the longevity of Alzheimer's patients. The results would prove to be of high value for healthcare practitioners and palliative care providers to design interventions that can alleviate the trauma faced by patients and caregivers due to chronic diseases.

Intrusion Detection Technique in Wireless Sensor Network using Grid Search Random Forest with Boruta Feature Selection Algorithm

        Sridevi Subbiah,Kalaiarasi Sonai Muthu Anbananthen,Saranya Thangaraj,Subarmaniam Kannan,Deisy Chelliah 한국통신학회 2022 Journal of communications and networks Vol.24 No.2

Attacks in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) aimto prevent or eradicate the network’s ability to perform itsanticipated functions. Intrusion detection is a defense used inwireless sensor networks that can detect unknown attacks. Dueto the incredible development in computer-related applicationsand massive Internet usage, it is indispensable to provide host andnetwork security. The development of hacking technology triesto compromise computer security through intrusion. Intrusiondetection system (IDS) was employed with the help of machinelearning (ML) Algorithms to detect intrusions in the network. Classic ML algorithms like support vector machine (SVM), Knearestneighbour (KNN), and filter-based feature selection oftenled to poor accuracy and misclassification of intrusions. Thisarticle proposes a novel framework for IDS that can be enabledby Boruta feature selection with grid search random forest (BFSGSRF)algorithm to overcome these issues. The performanceof BFS-GSRF is compared with ML algorithms like lineardiscriminant analysis (LDA) and classification and regression tree(CART) etc. The proposed work was implemented and tested onnetwork security laboratory – knowledge on discovery dataset(NSL-KDD). The experimental results show that the proposedmodel BFS-GSRF yields higher accuracy (i.e., 99%) in detectingattacks, and it is superior to LDA, CART, and other existingalgorithms.

      • Combined High-Density Lipoprotein Proteomic and Glycomic Profiles in Patients at Risk for Coronary Artery Disease

        Krishnan, Sridevi,Huang, Jincui,Lee, Hyeyoung,Guerrero, Andres,Berglund, Lars,Anuurad, Erdembileg,Lebrilla, Carlito B.,Zivkovic, Angela M. American Chemical Society 2015 Journal of proteome research Vol.14 No.12

<P><B>Objectives:</B> To test whether recently developed methods for comprehensive profiling of the high-density lipoprotein (HDL) glycome combined with the HDL proteome can distinguish individuals with coronary artery disease (CAD) from those without. <B>Methods:</B> Twenty subjects at risk for CAD, who underwent diagnostic coronary arteriography, were analyzed. Ten subjects had CAD, and ten did not. HDL was extracted from fasting plasma samples by ultracentrifugation, followed by shotgun proteomic, glycomic, and ganglioside analyses using LC-MS. CAD vs non-CAD subjects’ data were compared using univariate and multivariate statistics. <B>Results:</B> Principal components analysis showed a clear separation of CAD and non-CAD subjects, confirming that combined HDL proteomic and glycomic profiles distinguished at-risk subjects with atherosclerosis from those without. CAD patients had lower HDL apolipoprotein content (specifically ApoA-I, A-II, and E, <I>p</I> < 0.05), and lower serum amyloid A2 (SAA2, p = 0.020) and SAA4 (p = 0.007) but higher sialylated glycans (<I>p</I> < 0.05). <B>Conclusion:</B> Combined proteomic and glycomic profiling of isolated HDL was tested as a novel analytical approach for developing biomarkers of disease. In this pilot study we found that HDL proteome and glycome distinguished between individuals who had CAD from those who did not within a group of individuals equally at risk for heart disease.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/jprobs/2015/jprobs.2015.14.issue-12/acs.jproteome.5b00730/production/images/medium/pr-2015-00730j_0008.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/pr5b00730'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>
