Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.
유기농 자재의 시용이 토양의 이화학적 성질과 상추, 가지의 생육 및 체내성분에 미치는 영향

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of microbial fertilizers on the application of organic farming materials in soil on growth and yields of leaf lettuce, eggplant. Three microbial fertilizers, Aika, Kalen-gold and EMRO-EM were used. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. The effect of soil chemical properties after application organic arming materials, The amounts of pH, EC, P2O5 and O.M. treated all plot were few of change. 2. Change of soil microbial after application organic farming materials, The number of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi in N, P, K treated plot showed the increased tendency, to the contrary, The number of bacteria, actimycetes in Aika, kalen-gold and EMRO-EM treated plot showed the increased, The number of fungi showed the dicreased tendency 3. The application effects of Aika, Kalen-gold and EMRO-EM on the growth, yield and components of leaf lettuce and eggplant in comparison with chemical fertilizers plot was not a difference.

Concerns on use of excess amount of chemical fertilizer and pesticide in current farming system turns both of the producer and consumer of agricultural products to an organic farming which use a less chemicals and more natural manure. Possibility Analysis of Pond-snail and Duck Faming for Environment-friendly Agriculture in paddy field. Depression effect of weed occurrence by pasture of 5kg of the Pond-snail(Ampullarius insularus) per 10a and the 7th day after transplanting. Optimum duck rasing density in rice paddy field was was 25~30 heads per 10a and ducks could be harvested three times in a year starting from 40 days after mature-seedling machine transplanting. The weed control rate of the duck raised paddy field was superior to the conventional agriculture. Yield per 10a of the duck raised and pond-snail(Ampullarius insularus) farming was inferior to conventional agriculture. The earnings of The Duck and Pond-snail farming realize a profit. From these results, it seems that the Organic farming are usefel and pasture of the Duck, Pond-snail(Ampullarius insularus) for depression of the weed occurrence is effective as the environmental perservation farming.

The purpose of this study was to examine the content validity of DSM-Ⅲ-R personality disorder(PDs). A 3-point rating scale of 150 preliminary diagnostic criteria including 95 DSM-Ⅲ-R PD diagnostic criteria was sent to psychiatrists. Each item in this scale was rated by psychiatrists(n=101) in term of prototypicality to every DSM-Ⅲ-R PD. The results show that each PD criteria set of DSM-Ⅲ-R was registered high level of interrater consistency and items listed in the DSM-Ⅲ-R were, for the most part, rated as very prototypical to their DSM-Ⅲ-R diagnosis. Some criteria were, however, not rated to characteristic features to their DSM-Ⅲ-R diagnosis. 11 items of DSM-Ⅲ-R diagnostic criteria scored high not only to their DSM-Ⅲ-R diagnosis but also other diagnosis. 16 items rated as high prototypicality item of other diagnosis. Another 16 items seemed not to be appropriate to any of DSM-Ⅲ-R PD diagnosis. These results suggest that the content validity of the DSM-Ⅲ-R personality disorder is not so high.

A circulating pump with installation space constraints was developed satisfying performance requirements such as flowrate, head and NPSHAv. The development procedures are composed of conceptual design, configuration design, performance analysis by CFD and performance test which were established in KIMM. The developed pump is OH4 type centrifugal pump which has a mixed-flow type impeller, a double volute and a rigid coupling. As a result of tests, the pump proved to meet all the requirements including space constraints and performance.

본 논문에서는 바이모달 트램간 통신을 적용하여 String Stability를 개선하는 방법을 소개한다. 군집주행 전체의 성능과 안정성을 향상시키기 위해 기존의 Model Free Cruise Control(MFCC) 알고리즘에 차량간 통신을 결합한 새로운 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. MFCC란 파워트레인이나 브레이크 시스템 모델 없이 차량간 속도, 가속도, 거리 정보를 이용하여 스로틀과 브레이크 인풋을 제어하는 알고리즘을 말한다. 차량간 통신을 통해 동일 방향으로 주행하는 바이모달 트램간에 자유롭게 속도 및 가속도 정보를 주고받을 수 있다. 성능평가를 위한 모의실험 모델은 바이모달 트램의 제원 및 역학 특성을 고려하여 CarSim을 이용해 구성하고, 제어 알고리즘은 MATLAB/Simulink를 이용하여 구현한다. 제안한 제어 알고리즘의 성능 검증을 위해, 통신을 적용하지 않은 군집주행 알고리즘의 성능과 비교한다. This paper is concerned with how to improve the string stability by enabling communication between bimodal tram. In order to improve the performance and reliability of the entire platoon, a new control algorithms is proposed. MFCC is the algorithm that control brake and throttle without brake system model and power train model using acceleration and distance between vehicles. It is possible to send and receive information of velocity and acceleration freely between bimodal tram traveling in the same direction via the vehicle communication. The simulation model for performance evaluation, taking into account the mechanical specifications and characteristics of the bimodal tram is configured using CarSim and the control algorithm is designed using MATLAB/Simulink. In order to verify the performance of the proposed control algorithm, it is compared to the performance of the platoon algorithm that do not apply the vehicle communication.

Follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcoma is an extremely rare malignant neoplasm arising from FDCs. The exact origin of FDCs remains unclear; both a hematopoietic lineage origin and a stromal cell derivation have been proposed. Proliferation of FDCs can lead to benign reactive lesions or generate neoplastic conditions. The lesions are most commonly found in lymph nodes and usually involve the head and neck area. Castleman`s disease is a rare non-neoplasitic lymphoproliferative disorder. Rare cases of hyaline-vascular Castleman`s disease have been associated with FDC sarcoma, but a clonal relationship has not been convincingly demonstrated. A pathway toward tumor evolution, beginning with hyperplasia and dysplasia of FDCs, has been proposed. Despite this known association between Castleman`s disease and FDC sarcoma, there have only been few reported cases of sarcoma arising as a complication of pre-existing Castleman`s disease, especially in abdominal lesions. We describe here a 51-year-old female with an FDC sarcoma arising from unicentric, hyaline-vascular type Castleman s disease in an intra-abdominal mass. Pathologically, the lesion showed a series of changes during the process of transformation from Castleman`s disease to FDC sarcoma. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2013; 62:131-134)

Peritonitis is the most common complication of CAPD (continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis). Major cause of peritonitis is bacterial infection by septic manipulation and catheter exit infection. In patients with CAPD, bile peritonitis by acute cholecystitis is rare. A 80-year-old female patient who had been treated with CAPD for 18 months visited our hospital for abdominal pain and change of dialysate color. These symptoms suggested peritonitis. Although we administered intraperitoneal antibiotics, abdominal pain did not subside. Therefore, we checked abdomen computerized tomography. CT findings showed gall bladder stone with distension, wall thickening and pericholecystic fluid collection. Acute cholecystitis with microperforation was suspected. She underwent percutaneous transhepatic gall bladder drainage and systemic antibiotics therapy. After conservative treatment, abdominal pain was subsided and peritoneal fluid came out clear. The patient was discharged and maintained on CAPD When CAPD patients visit hospital due to abdominal pain and dialysate color change (dark brown color or greenish color), physicians should consider bile peritonitis and early treatment.

Naval weapons systems of the Republic of Korea are acquired through the Defense Planning Management System. Recently, acquisition of some naval ships have been delayed, and the causes of the delays have been recognized as inappropriate project management at the Execution Phase. However, we argue that the delay problem in naval ships acquisition should be approached, with due regard for the entire Defense Planning Management System. That is, We should try to investigate from Planning Phase to those of Programming, Budgeting and Execution Phases. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the actual cases of the delay in naval acquisition at all phases of the Defense Planning Management System. Based on the investigation, we tried to identify the naval ship Acquisition Delay Factors and find out the Weights of those factors. As the next step, we calculated the Influence Measures on the naval missions, including the Cost of Naval Capability Gap derived from the delays in acquisition of naval ships. As a final step, we calculated the Acquisition Delay Measures based on the interrelationship between the Acquisition Delay Factors and the Influence Measures. Then we evaluated and analyzed what the results stand for. Finally, we made suggestions for future improvement. The improvement suggestions we made for preventing delay in acquisition of naval ships in this study are as follows. First, we need a shift in perception. It is necessary to measure the Acquisition Delay Factors in acquiring naval ships and manage them from the Planning Phase. Second, resolution must be concerted efforts. All relevant agencies, not just a few, should work together to resolve the problems of acquisition delay. Third, analysis must be based on the accumulation of data. This allows the elaborating of naval ship Acquisition Delay Factors and Delay Measures. If this research method is applied to other military weapons systems in the future, we may be able to not just identify the Acquisition Delay Factors in acquisition of other military weapons systems, but also pursue improvement in those cases.
