Background: Depressive disorders (DD) affect not only mood and behavior but also various physical functions. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been shown to have some benefits in treating DD. However, one formula or one single herb might be not show high efficacy when used to treat depression. Thus, this study aimed to examine the core prescription pattern of Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) among patients with DD in Taiwan as a reference for related research and clinical applications. Methods: All patients, who had been diagnosed with major depressive disorder or minor depression or dysthymia without any other baseline diseases and had at least one CHM outpatient clinical visit from 2002 to 2011, were extracted from three randomly sampled cohorts, namely the 2000, 2005 and 2010 cohorts of the National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) of Taiwan. The collected data was analyzed to explore the patterns of herbal products. Results: There were 197,146 patients with a diagnosis of DD and of these 1806 subjects had only a diagnosis of DD and utilized CHM. The most common formula was Gan-Mai-Da-Zao-Tang (12.19%), while Suan-Zao-Ren (3.99%) was the most commonly prescribed single herb. The core pattern of prescriptions consisted of a combination of Gan-Mai-Da-Zao-Tang, Jia-Wei-Xiao-Yao-San, Chai-Hu-Jia-Long-Gu-Mu-Li-Tang, He-Huan-Pi, Yuan-Zhi and Shi-Chang-Pu. Conclusions: This study describes the CHM core prescription pattern used to treat patients in Taiwan with DD and it is a potential candidate for study in future pharmacological or clinical trials targeting DD.

Background/Aims: In endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) training, only a flat target lesion can usually be simulated in the normal mucosa. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of simulated targets in the stomachs of live pigs for complete training. Methods: Six trained endoscopists with hands-on experience with ex vivo, isolated pig stomachs were enrolled in this pilot study. An endoscopic banding device was used to create a polyp that was snared, leaving an ulcerated lesion. This simulated target model was used to perform ESD in pigs. The en bloc resection rate, procedure time, complications, quality of resection, and participants` opinions on the simulated targets were compared with the conventional model. Results: En bloc resections were achieved in all six simulated targets and six conventional models. The mean size of the resected specimens was 32.2 mm (range, 20 to 39 mm) in the simulated target group and 23.5 mm (range, 11 to 40 mm) in the conventional group. The target model had a high quality of resection and had a high satisfaction rate for margin identification and correct peripheral marking. Conclusions: Good identification of the lesion and ease of periphery marking in the target model may improve resection quality. (Gut Liver 2014;8:619-624)

Shih, Bih-Yaw,Chen, Chen-Yuan,Su, Wei-Lun Techno-Press 2012 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.42 No.5
In today's online social structure, people with electronic devices or network have been closely related to whether any of the activities, work, school, etc., is related to electronic devices, intelligent robot, and network control. The best mobility and the first rich media of these products as smart phones, smart phones rise rapidly in recent years, high speed processing performance and high free way to install software, deeply loved by many business people. However, not only for smart phone business aspects of the use, but also can engage in education of the teachers or the students are learning a great help. This study construct OCR-assisted learning software written by the JAVA made, and the installation is provided by the Android mobile phone users.

In this paper, This study focuses on how to using a evaluative criteria software imprecise market information by evaluative criteria design software; product mapping relationships between design parameters and customer requirements. Using product predicted value method synthesizing design alternative by morphological analysis and plan; realizing the synthesis in multi-criterion decision-making(MCDM), using its searching software capacity to obtain the optimal solution. Establishment products designs conforms to the customer demand product, and promotes the optimization several designs, In this study, solution enterprise product multi- goals decision-making question.
The effect of bending loads on the dynamic behaviors of a rolling guide
James Shih-Shyn Wu,Jyh-Cheng Chan,Gent-An Tsai,Ching-Yuan Lin,Feng-Ming Ou 대한기계학회 2012 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.26 No.3
Dynamic behaviors of ball-type contact surfaces under unbalanced bending loads are studied using point-to-point analysis, threedimensional finite element simulation based on the Hertz Contact Theory, and a modal test. Results derived from these models are very similar but the Finite Element Model provides the best results since it allows for more elements of study, such as the steel ball, carriage, rail etc. In the study, results also show that frequencies vary slightly, but there is an obvious change in shapes. Therefore, the contact stiffness in simulations must be properly selected with the conclusion that different external loadings may affect the dynamic characteristics of such structures significantly.
