      • SVM을 기반으로 한 심음 기반의 심장 질환 판별에 관한 연구

        In this paper, Support Vector Machine Algorithms were used with promising results in various critical problems, concerning heart sound classification. In general this classification problem can be divided in many sub problems, each one dealing either with one morphological characteristic of the heart sound or with difficult to distinguish heart diseases. We proposed a ventricular fibrillation detection algorithm based on support vector machine classifier and Short Time Vector Machine, which could offer benefits to reduce the learning costs as well as good classification performance. It showed similar or higher values. Consequently, we could find that the proposed input features and SVM classifier would one of the most useful algorithm for cardiac disorder detection.

      • 산술 부호화와 연성워터마킹 방법을 이용한 영상조작 검지기법

        In this paper, a new fragile watermarking algorithm for digital images is proposed. It makes possible to resolve the security and forgery problem of the digital images. The most suitable watermarking method that verifies the authentication and integrity of the digital image is the Wong's method, which invokes the hash function (MD5). The algorithm is safe because this method uses the hash function of the cryptology. The operations such as modulus, complement, shift, bitwise exclusive-or, bitwise inclusive-or are necessary for calculating the value of hash function. But, in this paper, an Arithmetic coding method, which only includes the multiplication operation, is adopted. This technique prints out accumulative probability interval that is obtained by multiplying the input symbol probability interval. In this paper, the initial probability interval is determined according to the value of the key, and the input sequence of the symbols is adjusted according to the key value so that the accumulative probability interval will depend on the key value. The integrity of the algorithm can be verified by an experiment. The PSNR is above the 51.13db and the verifying time is 1/3~1/4 of the verifying time of the hash function (MD5), So, it can be used in the real-time system.

      • 중학교 야구선수의 스포츠상해에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this research is to study the kinds of injures inflicted on middle school baseball players during sports activity. The subject of study is 168 students in 10 middle schools located in Seoul. With students answering a questionnaire given, the research is done by the Self-assessment recording method The collected research data were analyzed with the Frequency Evaluation method, which is sub-program of SAS. The result of the research on injures of baseball players is as follows; First, the injured parts of body are arms(39.58%), legs(18.35%), feet(14.37%), face(10.47%), abdomen(8.66%), chest(3.38%). Second, the symptoms of the injures are partial injures(30.69%), pains in movement(21.23%), snap sound in joint movement(17.14%), hypodermic bleeding(15.86%), muscular cramp(15.09%), The degree of the injures are joints(40.71%), muscles and tendon(35.22%), bones(19.55%), the mervous system(3.52%). Third, the situations when the injures were inflected are as follows; hit by batted balls(25.2%), bumped against fielders(6.6%), bumped against fences(1.0%), etc(16.3%). Fourth, the causes of the injures are mistakes of the players, the defects of equipment, the defects of facilities. Fifth, the occurrence rate of the injures is higher during training(67.41%) rather than during games(32.59%). In allpositions, afternoon training saw 60.82% of all the injures, morning training, 30.20%, night training, 8.57%, dawn training, 0.41%. Sixth, professional doctors treated 39.6% of all the injures, players themselves, 30.6%, coaches or managers, 22.4%, insurance companies, 0.4%, etc, 6.9%. For the treatment measures, there are physical therapy, balms, and PAS(Para-Amino-Salycylic)(20.8%), ice fomentation(18.8%), acuquncture and moxacautery(14.2%), operation(9.3%). Seventh, for the condition after treatment, players said; 'can use the injured parts of the body as well as they used to be' and 'continue using them though painful'(31.25%), 'the injured parts the body are often hurt'(20.09%), 'try not to use the parts of body feeling the pains'(13.39%), 'never use them'(4.02%), For the aftereffect of the injures, players said; 'continue using them though painful'(42.86%), 'can use them as well as before'(35.20%),'try not to use them feeling the pain'(11.22%), 'injured parks are often hurt again'(8.16%), 'never use them'(2.55%). Eighth, infielders felt the best mental condition after treatment, with outfielders, pitchers, and catchers in order.

      • 여대생들의 SNS와 소통 : 서울여자대학교 재학생의 Twitter 및 Facebook 활용을 중심으로

        This study focuses on the characteristics of communication by such social network service (SNS) as Twitter and Facebook. In order to achieve the goal of this study, interview to students in Seoul Women's University was introduced to figure out such communicative behavior using SNS as frequency, motivation, purposes, and effects of SNS. The interview results show that students in Seoul Women's University have strong desire to communicate each other and SNS is one of digital mechanism to enhance their communication. Also, the results point out that interviewees communicative behavior using SNS can be categorized into two types of communication, network- oriented communication to promote friendship and fact-oriented communication to collect and share information. Moreover, interviewees indicate that SNS has both positive and negative (for example, privacy and security, time-consuming, false information, and addiction) aspects, as a results, users' self-control and digital competency should be improved. 소통은 인간 사회의 핵심 가운데 하나이다. 인간은 다른 사람들과 소통하고 싶어 한다. 즉, 상대방에 대해 알고 싶어 하는 동시에 자신을 알리고 싶어 하는 욕구를 가지고 있다. 인간의 소통에 대한 욕구를 충족시키는 방법은 시대의 발전에 따라 변화해왔다. 수천년 전부터 인류는 직접 만나서 언어로서 서로의 감정을 표현하고 정보를 교환하며 지내왔다. 즉, 이 시기에는 소통에서의 시간적․공간적 제약이 존재하였다. 그러나, 문자와 종이가 발명되면서 인류는 소통에서의 시간적․공간적 제약을 극복하기 시작하였다. 인류의 소통은 전화의 발명으로 한발 더 나아가게 되었으며, 디지털 혁명은 인간에게 시간적․공간적 제약을 뛰어넘는 소통을 가능하게 해 주었다. Bill Gates가 “PC는 인간이 만든 도구 중 인간에게 가장 많은 권한을 부여하는 도구라고 자신있게 말할 수 있다. PC는 소통의 도구, 창의력의 도구이며 사용자가 직접 만들어 나갈 수 있다(I think it's fair to say that personal computers have become the most empowering tool we've ever created. They're tools of communication, they're tools of creativity, and they can be shaped by their user.)”라고 주장한 바와 같이, PC와 인터넷의 급속한 발전으로 시발된 디지털 혁명은 인간의 소통에도 20세기 후반에는 상상도 할 수 없었던 큰 변화를 가져왔다. 소위 제 3의 물결(Toeffler, 1980)이라 불리는 정보화 시대의 물결을 타고 현대인들의 소통에 대한 욕구를 더욱 더 편리하게 발현 할 수 있도록 하는 수단의 변화를 가져왔다. 현 시대의 사람들이 행하는 소통의 행태는 전통적인 소통의 방법과 디지털 네트워크의 소통방법이 함께 어우러져 행해지는 모습을 보이고 있고, 이와 더불어 인터넷 등을 통한 가상 커뮤니케이션의 방법으로도 이루어지고 있다. 그리고 디지털 네트워크 기술 발전에 따른 해당 시스템의 이용자가 증가하고 있으며, 관련 시스템이나 모바일 어플리케이션도 지속적으로 개발되어 유통되고 있다. 이러한 디지털 네트워크 발전 속에서 Social Network Service(이하 SNS)가 새롭게 등장했다. 정보기기와 해당 시스템의 발전으로, 면대면 형식의 소통을 벗어나 SNS를 통한 온라인상의 소통이 가능하게 되었고, 이는 다른 소통의 방법보다 상대적으로 편리함을 제공하여 SNS 이용자들에게 폭발적인 반응을 불러일으켰다. 2010년 초 미국에서 처음 쓰이기 시작한 신조어로 ‘TGIF’가 있다. ‘TGIF’는 트위터, 구글, 아이폰, 페이스북 등 스마트 열풍의 진원지라 할 수 있는 네 가지 서비스를 통칭하는 표현이다. TGIF가 급속히 확산된 지난 2년간 세계인들은 정치․경제․사회․문화 모든 면에서 큰 변화를 겪었다. 2008년 당선된 미국의 오바마 대통령은 세계 최초의 트위터 대통령이라 할만하며, 2011년 초에 발생한 튀니지의 ‘재스민 혁명’과 이집트의 ‘키파야 혁명’ 또한 ‘TGIF’의 소산이었다. 오바마 대통령의 당선 이후 유튜브 정치(YouTube Politics)란 용어가 탄생하였고, 2011년 1월 26일 미국 오바마 대통령의 연두교서는 유튜브를 통해 세계에 생중계 되었다. 이러한 정치 분야에서의 소통 뿐만 아니라 기업이 직접 SNS계정을 만들어 네트워크상에서 자신의 고객과의 소통을 하는 기업이라는 조직 대 개인의 소통도 증가하고 있다. KT나 삼성 등의 대기업 등은 SNS를 이용한 고객과의 소통을 통해 기업이미지 제고와 고객과의 친밀함을 시도하고 있는 것은 이미 주위에서 많이 볼 수 있다.

      • Linear Precoding Design for Mutual Information Maximization in Generalized Spatial Modulation With Finite Alphabet Inputs

        <P>In this letter, we develop a new precoding scheme that improves the performance of mutual information for generalized spatial modulation (GSM). First, the closed-form expression of the mutual information of the GSM with finite alphabet inputs is derived in order to update the precoder with regard to the mutual information. The joint precoding design problem to maximize the mutual information of the GSM is difficult to solve directly since it is a non-convex coupled problem. In order to solve this problem, we transform the GSM system into a virtual multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, and then an extended ellipsoid algorithm is applied. Each precoder of the GSM can be solved using the common precoder of the virtual MIMO. The numerical results demonstrate that the proposed precoding scheme significantly enhances the performance in terms of the mutual information.</P>

      • S-345 Castleman``s disease in intrapulmonary lymph node presenting as solitary pulmonary nodule

        Castleman's disease is an uncommon lymphoproliferative disorder which can occur wherever lymph nodes are presens. Castleman's disease in the chest develops usually in mediastinal or hilar lymph node. A 53-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital for further evaluation of a pulmonary nodule detected incidentally in health check up.Computer tomography demonstrated that this nodule was 27×25mm, well-defined in the right upper lobe. On MRI of chest MRI, which was performed to further diagnosis, the nodule was located on perihilar area of the right upper lobe and showed high signal intensity in T2 weight imaging and rapid and strong enhancement in dynamic contrast image, suspected to be a sclerosing hemangioma. We performed right upper lobectomy with lymph node dissection and the pathologic examination revealed that the pulmonary nodule was Castleman's disease arising from an intrapulmonary lymph node. We here report a rare case of Castleman's diseas in intrapulmonary lymph node presenting as solitary pulmonary nodule, suggesting that Castleman's disease should be considered in patinet with a nodule in perihiarl area.

      • Microfluidic Skin Chip Co-cultured with Vascular Structure and Immune Cells for Recapitulating Dermal Immune Response

        Current in vitro skin models do not recapitulate the complex architecture and functions of the skin tissue. In particular, construction of an in vitro model comprising the epidermis and dermis layer with vascular structure for mass transport and immune response has not been reported yet. In this study, we aim to develop a microfluidic, three-dimensional (3D) skin chip with fluidic channels using PDMS and hydrogels. Mass transport-reaction model of oxygen and glucose inside the skin chip was developed to aid the design of the microfluidic skin chip. Evaluation of viabilities of dermal fibroblasts and HaCaT cultured in the chip verified that the presence of flow plays a crucial role in maintaining the viability, and we were able to observe migration of immune cells and secretion of cytokines in response to external stimulation by UV or chemicals. Our 3D skin chip with vascular structures can be a valuable in vitro model for reproducing the interaction between different components of the skin tissue such as immune response and transport of nutrients, and may work as a more physiologically realistic platform for testing skin reaction to cosmetic products and drugs.

      • Microfluidic Skin-On-A-Chip with Vasculature for Modeling Inflammatory Dermal Diseases

        Animal models have been primarily used for testing skin toxicity and sensitivity. However, animal models have many problems such as ethical issues, costs, time and safety evaluation and prediction are not accurate because there are differences between animals and humans. Therefore, the need for in vitro skin models is increasing. Current in vitro skin model has only a partial function of the skin. In particular, on-chip construction of an in vitro model comprising the epidermis and dermis layer with vascular structure for mass transport has not been reported yet. In this study, we aim to develop a skin on a chip using a three-dimensional skin chip that has fluidic channels and can mimic the human environment more closely. Skin on a chip is a model to reproduce skin reaction similar to human body and physiology by culturing cells constituting skin on chip. In this study, we established cell culture conditions to simulate dermis and epidermis and culture blood vessels, and observed immune response in skin chip. We expect that microfluidic skin on a chip with vasculature can reproduce skin reaction to cosmetic products and drugs and complement animal models.
