1,300MWe 가압경수로 공동내에서 중성자의 흐름해석이 수행되었다. 중성자의 흐름을 해석하는데는 1차원 수송코드인 ANISN, 2차원 수송코드인 DOT3.5, 3차원 Monte Carlo 코드인 TROPOLI-02와 이들을 접속시켜주는 DOTTRI 등의 전산코드가 이용되었고, 본 계산에 사용된 전산기는 IBM 3033형이었다. 계산된 선속 및 선량율은 900MW 가압경수로의 공동내에서 측정한 측정치와 비교검토 되었고, 그 결과 중성자 군별로 약간의 오차는 있었으나 전체적으로 큰 오차는 없었다. 이 결과는 대용량의 원자로 차례설계, 원자로보수시, 기타 원자로 공동내에 출입할 경우에 방사선방어상 필요한 방어수단을 제공하는데 기여하였다. Neutron Streaming analysis in 1300 MWe pressurized water reactor cavity was performed. In this calculation, the discrete ordinates transport codes, ANISN and DOT 3. 5, and the Monte Carlo code, TRIPOLI-02 were used with the coupling code, DOTTRI. In this study IBM 3033 type computer was used. The calculated neutron fluxes and dose rates were compared with the measured data in a 900MWe pressurized water reactor cavity to show a good agreement, although some deviations in the results for each energy group were noticed. These results will be applied in the radiation shielding design of high capacity nuclear power reactors and, to the means of radiation protection in case of the reactor maintenance and the access of the reactor cavity.

The city is the social space with a lot of people having the various and different background and positions. That the city is the social space of high density means it is the space for convenient and comfortable life with the sense of community in frequent activities by overcrowded people and for this, intentional human behaviors within the city. From such a viewpoint, this research is to examine and analyze the publicity of external space of buildings with open space which is the important factor in improving the quality of city and the results of the research are as follows. It is found that the installation of open space has been made at the place where urban development is actively performed from the center of city with many users, but the open space which secures the comfort of the city and then attracts the people is not secured and is in the stage of legal restriction and the conversion of building owner's consciousness is needed. It is analyzed that most of open space are located at the front, but in fact there is no device which intercepts the eyes of pedestrian and open space users and since each space is divided by merely ground border, it is difficult to find the hierarchy or territory of two spaces and more considerations should be given for users. It is shown that the obligatory installations of open space such as bench are not equipped. Since the open space in urban area should be prepared in the side of publicity for users as well as for the urban comport, it is considered that the conversion of building owner's consciousness and institutional supports like incentive system should be followed. Moreover, open space have an influence on the diversification of architectural design, architects must consider the diversification of location, form and components of open space to make it an attractive space for users.

We have encountered a rare case of symmetrical peripheral gangrene complicating Escherichia coli sepsis in a 47-years-old male. He was successfully treated with antibiotics, anticoagulants, and vasodilator. To our knowledge, this is the first report on symmetrical peripheral gangrene complicating E. coli sepsis in Korea.

In this paper, a channel estimation algorithm for efficient transmission of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signals in multipath channel is presented and analyzed. To increase transmission efficiency, known reference signals instead of the cyclic prefix are inserted into the guard interval. Estimation coefficients are obtained according to one-to-one correspondence between the received reference signals and the known ones in frequency domain and used to compensate the effect of channel on each subband. Computer simulation shows that bit error rate of the presented algorithm is slightly higher than that of the conventional one. However, the transmission efficiency of the system has been increased up to 20% when the length of guard interval is 1/4 the data block. Thus, the presented estimation algorithm is expected to be suitable for high speed transmission systems such as digital terrestrial broadcasting.

<P>A simple and straightforward method of constructing higher-level three-dimensional (3-D) signal constellations for a reliable digital communication system is proposed in this paper. The new method expands basic 8-ary constellation into 3-D signal space systematically so that it produces lattice configurations. We also derive accurate closed-form symbol error probability (SEP) of cross-lattice constellations in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). It is verified that the theoretical SEPs are almost the same as simulation results. Minimum Euclidean distance (MED) of the higher-level 3-D constellations is increased at least 49% in comparison with quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). When the number of symbols is 256, the 3-D constellation has around 105% longer MED than the 2-D QAM. Due to increase in MED, the 3-D constellations have much improved error performance compared to the QAM configurations. It is, therefore, considered that the higher-level 3-D constellations are appropriate for high-quality digital communications.</P>
