      • 골프 스윙 동작시 신체 균형능력에 관한 연구

        This study was conducted to prove the differences in keeping your balance in your golf swing, according to the golfers skill level. Dynamic Balance System was used in this experiment in which 10 subjects(5 skilled, 5 unskilled) participated. The results were as follows; 1) Sway of the center of the balance in golf swing. (1) With any club, all ten golfers had a big sway of balance to the left on the "X" axis, The unskilled golfers had a bigger sway of balance than the skilled golfers. (2) ALL ten golfers had a big sway of balance to the forward on the "Y" axis, The unskilled golfers had a bigger sway of balance than the skilled golfers. (3) Shorter clubs produced higher sway exponents on the graph in all of the ten golfers. (4) With shorter clubs, the five skilled golfers had a bigger sway of balance from right to left on the "X" axis, With longer clubs, the skilled golfers had a bigger sway of balance from front to back on the "Y" axis, With any club length, the unskilled golfers had a bigger sway of balance on the "X" and "Y" axis. 2) The position of your body weight during the swing (1) At the address, the skilled golfers placed approx, 61~65% of their body weight on their left foot, and approx , 36~40% of their weight on the right foot, The golfers placed most of weight on their heels when swinging with #1 wood and most of their weight on their toes when swinging with iron clubs. The unskilled golfers placed approx. 53~61% of their body weight on the left foot, and approx. 40~47% of theft weight on the right foot, With a #1 wood and a #5 iron swing there was a lot of weight on the left foot's heel and right foot's toes. (2) At the top of the back swing, the skilled golfers placed approx, 61~65% of their weight on the left root and approx 69~79% on the right foot according to the clubs, With a N. wood swing, they placed similar weight on their toes and heels. with iron swing, there was a lot of weight on theft right foot's heel. In the case or the unskilled golfers, they placed approx. 69 ~83% of the weight on their left foot and approx. 77~79% on their right foot, they also placed a lot of weight on their right toes when swinging with any club. (3) At the impact, the skilled golfers placed approx, 69~83% of their weight on the left foot and approx 17 ~31% on the right foot according to the clubs, With a #1 wood swing, they placed a lot of weight on theft left heel and there was a lot of weight on their left toes with iron swim the unskilled golfers placed approx, 60~83% of their weight on the left foot and approx, 21~40% of the weight on their right foot. they also placed most of weight when swinging with any club, And before impacting the ball, their right foot's heel was raised up a bit. (4) During the follow through, the skilled golfers placed approx. 92~95% of their might on the left root and approx. 5~8% of the weight on their right foot, They placed a lot of weight on left foot's heel when swinging with a #1 wood and a #5 iron. The unskilled golfers placed approx, 90~95% of the weight on their left root and approx, 5~10% on their right root, they placed a lot of weight on their left foot's heel when swing with a #1 wood and also a lot of weight on their left foot's toes when they swing with iron club.

        대두 및 대두발효식품의 항돌연변이성

        To investigate the inhibitory effect of soybean and Korean traditional fermented soybean products on the chemically induced mutagenesis, we extracted soybean, Kanjang, Doenjang, Kochujang, and Chonkukjang with water, methanol and hexane. Inhibitory effect of extracts was assayed by the SOS chromotest using Escherichia coli PQ37 as a test strain. 4-nitroquinoline-1-oxide(4NQO), N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine(MNNG), and aflatoxin B_1(AFB_1) were used as mutagens. Methanol extracts showed relatively higher inhibitory effect than water and hexane extracts. Methanol extracts of soybea, Doenjang, Kochujang, and Chongkukjang showed inhibitory effect of 68.4, 96.3, 17.5, and 100.9%, against MNNG, and 28.6, 109.1, 41.3, and 101.8% against AFB_1., respectively. Doenjang methanol extract showed inhibitory effect of 51.0, 96.3, and 109.1% against 4NQO, MNNG, and AFB_1. Inhibitory effect of heat-treated Doenjang and Chongkukjang methanol extracts on the mutagenicity of MNNG and AFB_1 was remained over 95% of the inhibitory effect of heat-untreated extracts, demonstrating the heat stability of the potent antimutagenic activity.

        난치성 신생혈관 녹내장에서 Molteno implantation 3례

        Neovascular glaucoma is a relatively common and severe complication of several retinal disorders, especially diabetic retinopathy and central retinal vein occlusion. By mechanism that are not fully understand, a fibrovascular membrane develops on the iris and in the anterior chamber angle which obstructs aqueous outflow. The preservation of vision and control of intraocular pressure in patients with nevascular glaucoma remains a therapeutic challenge. We performed one-stage, single plate Molteno implant surgery in three eyes of 3 patients with uncontrolled neovascular glaucoma. Postoperative intraocular pressure were controlled under 20 mmHg in all cases. Visual acuity unchanged in all eyes. The postoperative complication included shallow anterior chamber and hypotony in all three eyes, flat chamber in one eye, and hyphema in one eye.

        This study is concerned with a comparison of the UW and the BI methods as they are applied to the evaluation of body composition. The validity of the BI method is studied in detail, and the SFT method is also examined in detail in comparison with the other methods. Altogether 49 healthy adults(13 males and 36 females)were estimated, and the following results have been obtained: 1. A comparison of the % body fat measured by the three methods is schematically summarized below: ◁표 삽입▷(원문을 참조하세요) 2. There was a higher correlation between the UW and the BI methods than between the UW and the SFT methods in the estimate of the body composition. 3. The measurements of the %body fat, the height and weight, and the fat thickness by means of the UW method did not reveal significant correlation with respect to the physical constitution of the males, but there was a significant correlation(0.5754) with respect to the weight of the females. 4. In the estimated of the % body fat, the BI method showed a smaller standard and relative deviation than the SFT method both for the male and the female subjects, and the highest degree of accuracy was obtained in the BI method applied to the male subjects.

        To find the prevalence and related factors of low back pain experienced by some beauticians. a survey was made toward 252 beauticians in Kwangju City from March 1st to April 1st, 1998. The results were as follows; 1. The prevalence rate of low back pain among the respondents for the last week was 59.5%. 2. The aid group and staff group with low back Pain had significantly longer duration of work than those without low back pain. Managers who had bad posture with twisted or too much extended back showed a significantly higher prevalence of low back pain than those with good posture during work(P<05). 3. Aid group with low back pain showed significantly higher points at total stress score, depression score, general health score and vitality score than those without low back Pain. The staff group with low back pain showed significantly higher points for total stress score, sleep disorder and anxiety score, depression score, general well-being and vitality score than those without low back pain. Managers with low back Pain showed significantly higher points of stress at social performance and self confidence (P<05) than those without low back pain. The above results suggest that low back pain is related to different jobs and work environments for beauticians. So effective measures and further studies against risk factors must be made considering their jobs. To prevent or reduce low back pain, appropriate management of stress for beauticians is necessary.

      • 일측 하퇴 의족 착용자의 절단단 길이에 따른 보행특성

        This report studied 31 male patients who were in one hospital in Kwangju or came to a prosthesis clinic and are 15 normal control group to analyze the gait characteristics according to the stump length in the prosthesis users with the unilateral below-knee amputations. The patient group was divided into a short stump subgroup of 13 patients and a long stump subgroup of 18 patients according to the stump length, the control group was randomly sampled from 15 males who have similar age, height and weight to the experimental group. The results of analysis are summarized as follows. 1. There were no significant statistical differences of the general characteristics between patient and control groups and there was no difference of characteristics by patient groups except the mean gait distance a day. 2. Of 33 patients with amputation, 18 patients (57.8%) had phantom pain and 25 cases (80.6%) had neuroma. 3. Gait velocity, stride length of the affected side, step length of the sound side and base support among gait characteristics show a significant difference according to the stump length in the state excluding the effects of other factors (p<05) and the group with long stump showed closer gait characteristics to normal persons than those with short stumps. In conclusion, among the patients of unilateral below-knee amputations, the stump length affects the gait characteristics such as gait velocity, stride length, step and base of support and it is found that as the stump length gets longer, it shows the similar characteristics to gait characteristics of normal persons and long unilateral below-knee amputation can secure better gait characteristics.
