In this paper, we present and prove an new theorem on symmetric functions. By using this theorem, we derive some new generating functions of the products of (p, q)-Fibonacci numbers, (p, q)-Lucas numbers, (p, q)-Pell numbers, (p, q)-Pell Lucas numbers, (p, q)-Jacobsthal numbers and (p, q)-Jacobsthal Lucas numbers with Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind.
An Outbreak of Tularemia in Western Black Sea Region of Turkey

The aim of this study was to investigate the source and the size of a tularemia outbreak in a village located in a non-endemic area. Five patients from the same village were admitted to hospital with the same complaints all within one week of September 2001. Tularemia was suspected and a diagnosis was made after physical and anamnesis examinations. The village was visited the same week that the patients were admitted to the hospital, in the January and April 2002. The villagers were examined and screened serologically by microagglutination method and the water sources were investigated bacteriologically. A total of 14 people were found to be infected from the outbreak and the oropharyngeal form was the only clinical presentation. Antibody titers ranged between 1:80 and 1:640. The patients responded well to the aminoglycoside plus tetracycline therapy. Examination of the pipewater and three springs revealed that all the water sources were contaminated by coliforms, however, Francisella tularensis could not be isolated in glucose-cystine medium. Antibody levels stayed stable or decreased seven months after. Tularemia had not been reported in this area before, so the first patients were misdiagnosed. In conclusion tularemia should be considered in differential diagnosis of patients with fever, sore throat and cervical lymphadenopaties.

The effects of different filling materials and stabilizers in polymer based materials that are used as shoe solesin the shoemaking industry on the mechanical properties (strength, failure, tensile, tearing, bending etc.) of the final products have been examined in this study. Natural rubber (NR RSS3) and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR 1502) were used as the main matrix material. New compounds were formed by replacing the fillings in the general compound of the existing factory (SiO2, CaCO3) with 40% (1200 g) blast furnace flue dust, rice husk, reclaimed rubber (recycled) and woodash. Comparison of the new compounds with the existing compounds revealed a decrease in hardness, density, dimension stability, bending, tearing, % elongation and failure strength and an increase in wearing.
Meningitis Due to Bacillus Anthracis

The first case of haemorrhagic meningitis due to Bacillus anthracis in the European part of Turkey is reported here. B. anthracis, sensitive to penicillin, was isolated from the cerebrospinal fluid and blood cultures. Although appropriate therapy was administered, the patient died two days after hospitalization.
Legendre trajectories of trans-$S$-manifolds

In this paper, we consider Legendre trajectories of trans-$S$-manifolds. We obtain curvature characterizations of these curves and give a classification theorem. We also investigate Legendre curves whose Frenet frame fields are linearly dependent with certain combination of characteristic vector fields of the trans-$S$-manifold.
ON SLANT CURVES IN S-MANIFOLDS

In this paper, we consider biharmonic slant curves in S-space forms. We obtain a main theorem, which gives us four different cases to find curvature conditions for these curves. We also give examples of slant curves in ${\mathbb{R}}^{2n+s}(-3s)$.

The G2ALT gene was cloned and sequenced from the thermophilic bacterium Anoxybacillus gonensis G2. The gene is 666 bp long and encodes a protein 221 amino acids in length. The gene was overexpressed in E. coli and purified to homogeneity and biochemically characterized. The enzyme has a molecular mass of 24.5 kDa and it could be classified as a member of the family of bacterial aluminium resistance proteins based on homology searches. When this fragment was expressed in E. coli, it endowed E. coli with Al tolerance to 500 μM. The purified G2ALT protein is active at a broad pH range (pH 4.0-10.0) and temperature range (25°C-80°C) with optima of 6.0 and the apparent optimal temperature of 73°C respectively. Under optimal conditions, G2ALT exhibited a low ATPase activity with K_(m-) and V_(max-) values of 10±0.55μM and 26.81±0.13 mg Pi released/min/mg enzyme, respectively. The ATPase activity of G2ALT requires Mg^(2+) and Na^+ ions, while Zn^(2+) and Al^(3+) stimulate the activity. Cd^(2+) and Ag^+ reduced the activity and Li^+,Cu^(2+), and Co^(2+) inhibited the activity. Known inhibitors of most ATPases, like such as β-mercaptoethanol and ouabain, also inhibited the activity of the G2ALT. These biochemical characterizations suggested that G2ALT belongs to the PP-loop ATPase superfamily and it can be responsible for aluminium tolerance in A. gonensis G2.

This article investigates the free vibration behavior of carbon nanotube reinforced composite (CNTRC) beams embedded using variational analytical methods and artificial neural networks (ANN). The material properties of layered functionally graded CNTRC (FG-CNTRC) beams are estimated using nonlocal parameters modified power-law with different types of CNT distributions through the thickness direction of the beam. Adopting Eringen's nonlocal elasticity theory to capture the small size effects, the nonlocal governing equations are derived and solved using the analytical method. And also, the problem was analyzed using the ANN method. The architecture of the proposed ANN model is 3-9-1. In the experiments, we used 112 different data to predict the natural frequency using ANN. Based on the nonlocal differential constitutive relations of Eringen, the equations of motion as well as the boundary conditions of the beam are derived using Hamilton's principle. The classical beam theory is used to formulate a governing equation for predicting the free vibration of laminated CNTRC beams. According to the experimental results, the prediction ability of the ANN model is very good and the natural frequency can be predicted in ANN without attempting any experiments.

We present a case of oral myiasis in a 15-year-old boy with tuberculosis meningitis. The diagnosis was based on the visual presence of wriggling larvae about 1 cm in size and on the microscopic features of the maggots, especially those relating to stigmatic structures. The larvae were identified as thirdstage larvae of Sarcophaga sp.
