      • A Problem-Oriented Structured Genetic Algorithm for Truss Designs

        As an analogy of the general design process, this paper preseents a novel design approach that could generate structural design alternatives having different topologies and then, select the optimum structure from them together with simultaneously determining its optimum design variables related to geometry and the member size subjected to the multiple objective design environmennts. For this purpose, a specialized genetic algorithm, called StrGA_DeAl + MOGA, which can handle the design altematives and multicriteria problems very effectively, is developed for the optimal structural design. To validate the developed method, plain truss design problems are considered as illustrative examples. To begin with, some possible topologies of the truss structure are suggested based on the stability criterion that should be satisfied under the given loading condition. Then, with the consideration of the given multicriteria, several different topology forms are selected as design alternatives for the second step of the conceptual design process. Based on the chosen topology of truss structures, the sizing or shaping optimization process starts to determine the optimum design parameters. Three-bar and ten-bar truss problems are given in the paper to confirm the above concept and methodology.

        Composite Wood–Concrete Structural Floor System with Horizontal Connectors

        The concept of horizontal shear connection utilization on wood?concrete beams intends to be an alternative connection detail for composite wood?concrete decks. The volume of sawn-wood is over three times more expensive than concrete, in Brazil. In order to be competitive in the Brazilian market we need a composite deck with the least amount of wood and a simple and inexpensive connection detail. This research project uses medium to high density tropical hardwoods managed from the Brazilian Amazon region and construction steel rods. The beams studied are composed of a bottom layer of staggered wood boards and a top layer of concrete. The wood members are laterally nailed together to form a wide beam, and horizontal rebar connectors are installed before the concrete layer is applied on top. Two sets of wood?concrete layered beams with horizontal rebar connectors (6 and 8) were tested in third-point loading flexural bending. The initial results reveal medium composite efficiency for the beams tested. An improvement on the previously conceived connection detail (set with six connectors) for the composite wood?concrete structural floor system was achieved by the set with eight connectors. The new layout of the horizontal rebar connectors added higher composite efficiency for the beams tested. Further analysis with advanced rigorous numerical Finite Element Modeling is suggested to optimize the connection parameters. Composite wood?concrete decks can attend a large demand for pedestrian bridges, as well as residential and commercial slabs in the Brazilian Amazon.

        Implementation of welding material quantity evaluation system combined with ship design CAD system

        These days, the great part of design processes in the field of ship or offshore manufacturing are planned and implemented using the CAD system customized for shipbuilding companies. It means that all information for design and production could be extracted and reused at the other useful fields which need cost considerable time and efforts. The typical example is the field of welding material quantity evaluation which is demanded during the construction of ship or offshore structures. The proper evaluation of welding material to be used and the usage of them at the stage of schedule planning are mostly important to achieve the seamless process of production and costing in advance. This study is related to the calculation of welding length and needed welding material quantity at the stage of design completion utilizing the customized CAD system. The calculated welding material quantity would be classified according to welding posture, assembly stage, block, bevel and welding type so as to improve the accuracy of total cost evaluation. Moreover it is possible to predict the working time for welding operation and could be used efficiently for the cost management using the results of this research.

        The implementation of the integrated design process in the hole-plan system

        All current shipyards are using the customized CAD/CAM programs in order to improve the design quality and increase the design efficiency. Even though the data structures for ship design and construction are almost completed, the implementation related to the ship design processes are still in progress so that it has been the main causes of the bottleneck and delay during the middle of design process. In this study, we thought that the hole-plan system would be a good example which is remained to be improved. The people of outfitting division who don't have direct authority to edit the structural panels, should request the hull design division to install the holes for the outfitting equipment. For acceptance, they should calculate the hole position, determine the hole type, and find the intersected contour of panel. After consideration of the hull people, the requested holes are manually installed on the hull structure. As the above, many processes are needed such as communication and discussion between the divisions, drawings for hole-plan, and the consideration for the structural or production compatibility. However this iterative process takes a lot of working time and requires mental pressure to the related people and cross-division conflict. This paper will handle the hole-plan system in detail to automate the series of process and minimize the human efforts and time-consumption.

        3차원 CAD 통합형 홀 플랜 시스템에 관한 연구

        선박설계에 있어서 설계효율 향상 및 설계품질 확보를 위해서는 설계 자동화 시스템의 구축이 필수적이다. 이를 위해서는 조선전용 3차원 CAD 시스템의 개발과 함께 여러 설계 공정에서 발생되는 설계정보를 충돌 없이 자연 스럽게 반영해 줄 수 있는 설계 정보 관리 소프트웨어들이 개발되어야 한다. 설계 정보 관리가 요구되는 대표적인 예 로서 선체 의장품 시공에 필요한 의장 홀의 설계 과정을 들 수 있다. 설계 기간 중 빈번하게 발생하는 의장 부서로부 터의 홀 시공 요구에 대하여 구조 설계 부서는 구조 안정성과 적합성을 고려하여 검토하고 반영 여부를 의장 부서로 통보하게 되며, 결정 시까지 부서간의 업무 협의, 토론, 관련 도면 작성 등 많은 설계자원이 투입된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 의장 홀 설계 과정을 자동화하기 위한 홀 플랜 시스템의 기본 개념 소개와 함께 프로세스 자동화 방안을 제시한다. It is necessary to construct the process automation system to improve the design efficiency and procure the higher design quality on the field of ship building. To construct this system, the shipbuilding companies should improve the 3D CAD/CAM system customized to the ship design and the software about design information management which could solve the conflict problem between the several related design division at the same time. The typical example is the Hole-plan process in the ship-building design. For the request of additional holes from outfitting division, the hull design division checks the compatibility conditions and reflects these holes to the hull panels if acceptable. if not, the requests are rejected and sent back to the outfitting division. These serial processes are not simple and require the tedious communication, discussion, and the complicated drawings. This article gives a basic introduction to the process of hole-plan system and proposes a strategy to automate its process

        모세오경에 나타난 법체계와 법사상

        모세오경은 고대 이스라엘의 법제도뿐만 아니라 통치기구와 행정기구를 망라한 이스라엘의 역사를 이룬다고 할 수 있다. 종교와 정치의 혼합된 형태를 가지고 있으며 모세오경의 법질서는 하느님의 말씀을 인간세계에 전달하는 형태로 나타나게 된다. 본 논문에서는 설화분분은 제외하고 율법적인 부분을 참고하여 모세오경의 법제도와 법사상을 고찰한다. 구약의 중심인 모세오경은 첫째, 계급적 위계질서에 바탕한 법질서의 특징을 나타내어 신의 위임을 받은 정치지도자 및 종교지도자의 권위를 절대적으로 긍정하며, 둘째 응보적 형별관념을 나타내어 고대법의 일반적인 특정인 탈리오 법칙을 나타내며, 셋째 신과의 계약을 표명하되 그 내용은 당사자와의 평등한 관계에서의 계약이 아니라 비합리적인 것을 나타낸다. 그러나 그 내용은 점차 진화되어 발전된 모습을 보인다. 넷째 법전을 통한 백성교화의 목적을 나타낸다. 그리하여 하느님의 의도를 실천하고자 하며, 다섯째 일관된 체제를 이루지 못하여 법전의 통일이 이루어 지지 않았다. 그러나 종교의 근본적인 가치초월적 태도에 의하여 바라본다면 결국 하느님의 사랑을 지상의 세계에 내리고자 함이며 사랑과 용서의 관념의 정신이라 본다.

        3차원 CAD 통합형 용접물량 산출 시스템에 관한 연구

        근래에 조선 해양 구조물 분야의 대부분 설계와 공정 계획은 각 회사가 보유한 전용 CAD/CAM 시스템을 통해 수행되고 있다. 이는 설계 형상 및 생산 관련 정보들이 추출되어 시간과 인력이 소비되는 많은 분야에서 해당 정보를 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 프레임워크가 구축되는 초석이 마련되었음을 뜻하며, 가장 전형적인 예로 선박 및 해양 구조물의 생산에 있어서 용접 관련 정보 산출 문제가 있는데 초기 일정 계획에 있어서 사용될 용접물량의 정확 한 예측은 구조물 중량 그리고 도장면적 산출과 더불어 생산 과정의 자연스런 흐름을 가능케 하며 예상 소요 인력과 비용을 확보할 수 있는 극히 중요한 과정으로 인식되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 ERP 시스템에서 추출된 구조물의 형상 및 생산정보로부터 정확한 용접장 및 용접물량을 추정할 수 있는 프레임워크를 구축하고 프로그램을 개발하였다. 산 출된 용접 정보는 용접 자세, 조립단계, 블록, 베벨 그리고 용접타입에 따라 분류되며, 적절한 Factor를 통해 용접작업 에 필요한 시수와 비용을 예측하는데 사용된다.
