The glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) from Melibe viridis were extracted and optimized using Multifactorial design. Four factors (Temperature, pH, incubation period, and enzyme ratio) were varied in the optimization experiment. The design used three enzymes namely; Alcalase, Flavourzyme, and Protamex. The optimum results were obtained using Flavourzyme at pH 8.0, incubation temperature of 450C, for 15 hours, and an enzyme ratio of 1.5% relative to sample weight. The extracted Melibe GAGs (prepared at different concentrations) were tested for DPPH scavenging effect, it showed that, it has a comparable activity with standard, the Ascorbic acid. It also showed a reductive capability in a concentration-dependent manner. For the hydroxyl radical scavenging effect, the results showed that the activity is very near with that of the standard too, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA). From the data obtained in this study, it can be inferred that, Melibe GAGs has a potential in the field of medicine as well as well as they can be used as dietary supplements with specific functional properties

Purpose: This study aims to develop a contextual learning model through a collaboration between lecturers, students, and the village government for nursing education. Methods: This study used a qualitative design. The process of collecting the data was done through focus group discussions with 12 informants representing four stakeholders. There were four focus groups, namely universities, village governments, community health centers, and students. The discussion used open-ended questions that were developed through two parameters, the learning outcomes and learning activities. The data analysis undertaken used thematic analysis specifically. Results: There were 11 grouped concepts found in this study which were able to be divided into three categories. The learning outcome category was formed of four concepts, including attitudes, mastery of knowledge, skills, and values. The learning process category was formed of five concepts, namely learning resources, learning methods and forms, learning media, learning time, and learning subjects. The main sources of contextual learning were found to be programs and maternal and child health (MCH) issues in the village. Techniques and instruments were the two concepts in the assessment category. A collaboration between lecturers and the village government to help students and to provide learning resources in the village integrates the program (MCH) with the learning outcomes. Conclusion: These concepts are the initial framework to help the head of the study program to integrate the MCH programs and cases in the curriculum and to facilitate the contextualization of the knowledge from the nursing students.

A Fe-Ni Bainitic steel as a weathering steel application was developed by combining its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in maritime environments. Nickel concentration (0.4-3 wt%) and inverted austempering multi-step (IAM) process were primary determinants of the microstructure of the Fe-Ni Bainitic steel. The initial austempering steel was performed at 300 o C for 600 seconds to obtain a partly bainitic transformation. The steel was heated again for 1800 s at 450 o C. The microstructure was comprised of ferrite, a blocky martensite/austenite island, and a homogeneous lath-shape bainite structure with widths ranging from 4.67 to 6.89 µm. The maximum strength, 1480 MPa, was obtained with 3 wt% nickel. In this study, corrosion behavior was investigated utilizing potentiodynamic and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests. A higher nickel content in Fe-Ni Bainitic steel refined the grain size, improved the bainite fraction, lowered the corrosion rate to 0.0257 mmpy, and increased the charge transfer of film resistance to 1369 Ω.
