      • 단클론성 감마글로블린장애를 동반한 말초 T-세포 림프종 1례

        We report here a case of peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified type showing monoclonal gammopathy in serum protein electrophoresis and immunoelectrophores-is. Lymph node biopsy and immunohistochemistry revealed findings cocsistenet with peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified according to the WHO classification of tumors of hemtopoietic and lymphoid tissues, and bone marrow showed increased plasma cells in number and lambda restriction in immunohistochemistry. After 5 cycles of combination chemotherapy consisting of cyclophosphamide, vincristine, doxorubicin, prednisone, the patient achieved partial remission with normal level of serum protein.

        In this study, the intercept wall was presented in order to establish the plan to control stable water security effectively by the hydrological analysis and analyzing draw down of groundwater level using finite element method. The analysis of falling groundwater levels caused by the groundwater flow after 30 days in the construction site was performed. From the results of this anaysis, also the other analysis of falling groundwater levels after 30 days was performed in the case of setting up the flow interception wall with the height of 7-8meters at the upper area of the construction site. These two analyses were performed by three ways of explicit method, implicit method, and Crank-Nicolson method. In comparison of these three ways, explicit method & Crank-Nicolson method were discriminated as more proper to analyze falling groundwater levels.

      • 홉핑동작과 달리기동작의 운동역학적 비교 분석 : Elementary School's Children

        The purpose of this study was firstly to investigate to investigate the biomechanical differences of motor developmental process by examining the movement of body segment and joint and the the pattern of ground reaction force and joint moment according to age during standing long jump in elementary school's children and secondly to provide fundamental data for scientific teaching method in physical education subject of teaching field. The subjects were divided into both grade 2 group and grade 6 group. which were consisted of 6 subject respectively. A digital video camera for kinematic data and a force plate for kinetics data were used during standing long jump. For the movement analysis two dimensional cinematographical method(Arial Performance Analysis System : APAS) was used and for the calculation of the kinematic variables a self developed program was used with the LabVIEW 6.1 (Laboratory Virtural Instrument Engineering Workbench) graphical programming (Johnson, 1999) program. independent samples t-test in SPSS package was used to test the biomechanical difference between two variables. The kinematics and kinetics results of this study were as follows. 1. while jumping distance, the horizontal displacement showed significant different between grade 2 group and grade 6 group, 2. Three were no significant difference between grade 2 group and grade 6 group each joint angular displacement however the hip joint and ankle joint showed more extended in grade 6 group. 3. In angular velocity the thigh segment, shank segment and foot segment velocity did not show significant differences. but foot segment angular velocity increased from minimum knee angle to take-off 4. The ground reaction force did not show significant difference between grade 2 group and grade 6 group, but the maximum peak value of the ground reaction force was smaller than 2 grade group. 5. Three were significant difference in hip and knee joint momentum between grade 2 group and grade 6 group.

      • 침 치료가 오십견(五十肩) 환자의 적외선 체열촬영에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : To observe the effect of acupuncture treatment on Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging(DITI) in frozen shoulder patients. Methods : 17 voluntary patients received acupuncture treatment on LI15, TE14, GB21 and Master Dong's acupuncture points, Shin-gwanand Gyun-joong, twice a week for 4 weeks. The patients were instructed to practice self exercise during their daily lives. Evaluations were made before treatment, after 1 week of treatment, after 2 weeks, 3 weeks and after 4 weeks of treatment. Constant Shoulder Assessment(CSA), Shoulder Pain and Disability Index(SPADI), Range of Motion(ROM) and the patient's satisfaction concerning the treatment was measured by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). DITI was measured before treatment and after 4weeks of treatment. The obtained data was analyzed. Results : CSA, SPADI, VAS, adduction and extension showed significant(p<0.05) improvement. Abduction and flexion both improved after 4 weeks of treatment, but the improvement was statistically insignificant(p>0.05). DITI showed improvement but the improvement was insignificant(p>0.05). Conclusion : 4 weeks of acupuncture treatment significantly improved CSA, SPADI, VAS, adduction and extension in frozen shoulder patients(p<0.05). The improvement of abduction and flexion after 4 weeks of acupuncture treatment was insignificant(p>0.05). DITI results improved after 4 weeks of acupuncture treatment. But the change of thermal difference was insignificant(p>0.05).

        Background: Phototrichogram analysis of normal scalp hair characteristics in Asian populations is not well characterized. Objectives: To investigate the normal hair characteristics of South Koreans using a phototrichogram. Methods: We enrolled 674 males and 683 females between the ages of 10 and 69. Hair density, thickness and the white hair percentage were measured via phototrichogram. Six scalp sites, including front, top, the peak between top and back, back, and the right and left sides were targeted. Results: The mean hair density, hair thickness, and the white hair percentage were not significantly different between genders at any scalp site. The mean hair density and thickness were significantly different according to scalp sites. Hair density declined with age, especially at the peak between top and back. Males and females showed different patterns of aging in hair density. Hair thickness changed little with age. But, mean hair thickness generally tended to increase until the 20s, reach a plateau between the 20s and 50s, and decrease after the 50s. The mean white hair percentages were 1.84 ± 4.24% in males and 1.66 ± 4.21% in females. The mean white hair percentages were significantly increased in subjects greater than 40 years of age. Conclusion: We described the normal characteristics and aging patterns of scalp hair in a Korean population.

        A New and One Unrecorded Species of Pratylenchus from Korea (Nematoda: Pratylenchidae)

        A new species, Pratylenchus gongjuensis n. sp. was isolated from chrysanthemum roots at Gongju, Chungnam Province, Korea. Morphological characteristics of P. gonguensis closely resemble to those of P. subpenetrans, but body length is much longer (female; $518-626{\mu}m$ vs. $330-481{\mu}m$, male; $514-581{\mu}m$ vs. $329-472{\mu}m$). A values of male are smaller (a=24.5-26.0 vs. 23.7-32.1), and the spicule length is also longer (18.2-21.0 vs. $14{\mu}m$). From P. penetrans, P. gongjuensis can be distinguished by length of posterior uterine branch length having about one to four vulva body width long, but P. penetrans short and undifferentiated. P. gongjuensis differs from P. mediterraneus Corbett, 1983, which is newly recorded in Korea, in having longer posterior uterine branch ($47.6-93.8{\mu}m$ vs. $18-25{\mu}m$). Measurements and morphological descriptions on P. meidterraneus and P. vulnus are also provided.

        Immunobioloical Activity of a New Benzyl Benzoate from the Aerial Parts of Solidago virga-aurea var. gigantea

        The chromatographic separation of the hexane soluble fraction of the methanol extract of the aerial parts of Solidago virga-aurea var. gigantea Mo. (Compositae) led to the isolation of a new benzylbenzoate (1) together with four known benzylbenzoates (2-5). Their structures were determined as 2-methoxybenzyl-2-hydroxybenzoate (1), benzyl-2-hydroxy-6-methoxy­benzoate (2), 2-methoxybenzyl-2,6-dimethoxybenzoate (3), 2-methoxybenzyl-2-methoxy-6­hydroxybenzoate (4), and benzyl-2,6-dimethoxybenzoate (5). Their structures were established by spectroscopic methods. Biological effects of compounds, 1 and 2, were investigated in vitro usingherapeutic agents by stimulating macrophage functions, with potential use in the treat­ mouse peritoneal macrophages. The benzylbenzoates (1 and 2) could serve as immunotherapeutic agents by stimulating macrophage functions, with potential use in the treatment of infectious diseases.

        Cytotoxic Terpenes and Lignans from the Roots of Ainsliaea acerifolia

        The chromatographic separation of the MeOH extract of the roots of Ainsliaea acerifolia (Compositae) led to the isolation of six known terpenes and two known lignans. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods as mokko lactone (1), betulonic acid (2), betulinic acid (3), zaluzanin C (4), $1{\beta}-hydroperoxygermacra-4(15)$, 5, 10(14)-triene (5), pluviatilol (6), (+)-syringaresinol (7), and glucozaluzanin C (8). Compounds $1{\sim}4$ and 8 showed non-specific significant cytotoxicity against five human tumor cell lines with $ED_{50}$ values ranging from $0.36{\sim}5.54{\mu}g/mL$.
