In order to study the effect of oriental medicine on experimental diabetes mellitus and cataract, Cheungsimyeonjaeum, Kamijowiseungkitang and Kikukjihwang-tang were administered to streptozotocin indeced diabetic rats and glactose-induced cataractic rats. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Variation of body weight were significantly increased in 7th day by administration of Cheungsimyeonjaeum and Kamijowiseungkatang. 2. Weight of liver were significantly recovered by administration of Cheungsimyeonjaeum and Kikukjihwang-tang. Weight of kidney were significantly recovered by administration of Kikukjihwang-tang. 3. The consumption of water significantly decreased by administration of Cheungsimyeonjaeum, Kamijowiseungki-tang and Kikukjihwasng-tang. 4. The consumption of food were significantly decreased by administration of Chungsimyeonjaeum, Kamijowiseungki-tang and Kikukjihwang-tang. 5. Onset of cataract in experimental group was not significantly different from control group. These results suggest that Cheungsimyeonjaeum, Kamijowiseungkitang and Kikukjihwang-tang may play protective and therapaeutic roles in diabetes mellitus.
부식산의 광촉매 산화 공정에 도입된 여러 종류이 상용 TiO₂비교연구

In this study, the effects of crystalinity, composition and particle size of TiO2 catalysts on the degradations of humic acid in aqueous solution was assessed using the commercially avaliable TiO2 particles. Photocatalytic oxidations of humid acid (HA, Aldrich Co.) solution were carried out in case of adding different types of TiO2 catalysts and their decomposition efficiencies were analyzed with respect to pH, DOC and UV absorbances values for the HA solutions and compared one another. The experimental results showed that TiO2 particles(Degussa P-25) mixed with anataze and rutile gave the highest degradation efficiencies, respectively and much lower degradation efficiency in TiO2 paticles of rutile only type. In comparing among ST series of anataze types, it was observed that the degradation efficiencies generally were increased with increasing TiO2 contents and surface area of the particles. Higher degradation efficiency of HA was also found in zeolite type(D-TZ) of TiO2 paticles compared with hydroxyapatite type (D-TH) of TiO2 particles.
정서노동 전략과 상태정서가 직무탈진과 이직의도에 미치는 영향

직무상에서 요구되는 특정 정서표현 규칙에 따라 정서를 조절하여 표현하는 과정을 정서노동이라 한다. 본 연구는 정서노동과 개인이 직무 중에 경험하는 정서경험이 밀접한 관련이 있다는 전제하에 정서노동 전략과 종업원이 경험하는 정서와의 관련성을 살펴보고, 정서노동 전략 사용이 직장에서 체험하는 정서와 함께 직무탈진과 이직의도를 설명하는 데 추가적으로 유의한 영향력을 갖는지를 검증하였다. 고객을 직접 상대하는 금융업계의 종업원 315명의 설문 응답을 분석한 결과, 부적 정서는 표면행위와, 정적 정서는 내면행위와 유의미한 상관을 나타냈다. 또한 표면행위 전략은 직무탈진과 정적 상관, 내면행위 전략은 직업효능감과 부적 상관을 나타냈다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 체험 정서에 부가적으로 표면행위는 직무탈진을, 내면행위는 직업효능감을 유의하게 예측하였다. 이러한 결과는 어떠한 정서조절 전략을 사용하는지가 경험하는 정서와 독립적으로 종업원의 직무탈진과 직업효능감에 영향을 미친다는 것을 시사한다. 이러한 연구결과의 시사점과 제한점을 논의하였다. The literature has demonstrated that emotional labor, a process of emotional regulation wherein workers are expected to display a certain type of emotion as a part of their jobs, has important implications for individual and organizational outcomes. The current study examined whether emotional labor has a unique impact on work attitudes. Even after controlling for state affect, analysis of survey data collected from 315 bank employees showed that emotional labor and state affect have independently significant influences on the job burnout and job engagement. Specifically, surface acting was significantly related to burnout even after controlling for negative affect, and deep acting was signifIcantly related to job engagement even after controlling for positive affect. However, after controlling for negative affect, surface acting was not found to be significantly related to turnover intention. Implications and suggestions for future research are also described in this thesis.

인간 유방암 세포주 BT-474와 MCF7에서 Bacteroides fragilis Toxin에 의한 E-cadherin 분절과 프로테아좀에 의한 분해

Enterotoxigenic Bacteroides fragilis (ETBF) has been reported to promote colitis and colon cancer through the secretion of B. fragilis toxin (BFT), a zinc-dependent metalloprotease. In colonic epithelial cells, BFT induces the cleavage of E-cadherin into the 80 kDa ectodomain and the 33 kDa membrane-bound intracellular domain. The resulting membrane-tethered fragment is then cleaved by γ-secretase forming the 28 kDa E-cadherin intracellular fragment. The 28 kDa cytoplasmic fragment is then degraded by an unknown mechanism. In this study, we found that the 28 kDa E-cadherin intracellular fragment was degraded by the proteasome complex. In addition, we found that this sequential E-cadherin cleavage mechanism is found not only in colonic epithelial cells but also in the human breast cancer cell line, BT-474. Finally, we report that staurosporine also induces E-cadherin cleavage in the human breast cancer cell line, MCF7, through γ-secretase. However, further degradation of the 28 kDa E-cadherin intracellular domain is not dependent on the proteasome complex. These results suggest that the BFT-induced E-cadherin cleavage mechanism is conserved in both colonic and breast cancer cells. This observation indicates that ETBF may also play a role in the carcinogenesis of tissues other than the colon.

The increased serum glucose levels by streptozotocin were significantly decrea -sed by administration of Cheungsimyeonjaeum, Kamijowiseungki-tang and Kikukjihwang-tang. 2. The levels of serum urea nitrogen were significantly recovered by administration of Cheungsimyeonjaeum, Kamijowiseungki-tang and kikukjihwang-tang. 3. The levels of serum triglyceride were significantly recovered by administration of Kamijowiseungki-tang and Kikukukjihwang-tang. 4. The levels of serum total cholesterol were significantly recovered by administration of Kamijowiseunki-tang and Kikukjihwang-tang The results suggest that Cheungsimyeonjaeum, Kamijowiseungki-tang and Kikukjihwang-tang may play protective and therapeutic roles in diabetes mellitus.
