불포화 폴리에스테르 수지의 물성이 폴리머 콘크리트의 강도에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 폴리머 콘크리트의 결합재인 불포화 폴리에스테르 수지(UPR)의 물리적 성질을 조사하였다. 그 결과는 비중 1.1 g/mL, 점도 3.0 poise, styrene의 함량은 40% 내외이고 산값은 약 20이었다. 본 실험에서 제조된 폴리머 콘크리트의 압축강도는 평균 1,056 Kg/cm², 휨강도는 216 Kg/cm², 인장강도는 110 Kg/cm²이었는데, 이는 시멘트 콘크리트에 비해 비교적 좋은 역학적 성질을 나타낸 것이다. 변동계수는 압축강도의 경우 약 3%, 휨강도의 경우 5%, 인장강도의 경우 6% 내외로서 매우 양호하다. 강도비를 산출하여 본 바 압축강도와 휨강도의 비가 4.9, 압축강도와 인장강도의 비가 9.7, 휨강도와 인장강도가 1.97로서 나타났는데 이는 폴리머 콘크리트의 압축강도는 1000 Kg/cm²를 상회함을 감안할 때 휨 및 인장강도가 상대적으로 큼을 보여주는 결과이다. In this study, effect on the strength of polymer concrete of unsaturated polyester Resin's(UPR) property was investigated. The physical property of UPR was as follows; density 1.1 g/mL, viscosity 3.0 poise, the content of styrene 40%, and acid value 20. The mechanical property of Polymer Concrete was relatively good; compressive strength 1,056 Kg/cm², flexural strength 216 Kg/cm², splitting tensile strength 110 Kg/cm², The coefficient of fluctuation was 3% of compressive strength, 5% of flexural strength, and 6% of splitting tensile strength. The ratios of respective strength were 4.9(compressive strength to splitting tensile strength), and 1.97(flexural strength to splitting strength). Therefore, flexural strength and splitting tensile strength of polymer concrete was relatively big under consideration of compressive strength(1,000 Kg/cm²).

In this study, to design a multi-GNSS receiver using single RF front-end, the receiving performances for various frequency plans were evaluated. For the fair evaluation and comparison of different frequency plans, the same signal needs to be received at the same time. For this purpose, two synchronized RF front-ends were configured using USRP X310, and PC-based software was implemented so that the quality of the digital IF signal received at each front-end could be evaluated. The software consisted of USRP control, signal reception, signal acquisition, signal tracking, and C/N0 estimation function. Using the implemented software and USRP-based hardware, the signal receiving performances for various frequency plans, such as the signal attenuation status, overlapping of different systems, and the use of imaginary or real signal, were evaluated based on the C/N0 value. The results of the receiving performance measurement for the various frequency plans suggested in this study would be useful reference data for the design of a multi-GNSS receiver in the future.

Permeable polymer concrete can be applied to roads, sidewalks, river embankments, drain pipes, conduits, retaining walls, yards, parking lots, plazas, interlocking blocks, etc. This study was to explore a possibility of using blast furnace slag powder and stone dust of industrial by-products as fillers for Eco-permeable polymer concrete. Different mix proportions were tried to find an optimum mix proportion of the Ecopermeable polymer concrete. The tests were carried out at $20{\pm}1^{circ}C$ and $60{\pm}2\%$ relative humidity. At 7 days of curing, unit weight, coefficient of permeability, dynamic modulus of elasticity, compressive, flexural and splitting tensile strengths ranged between $1,821{\~}1,955 kg/m^{3}$, $0.056{\~}0.081\;cm/s$, $114{\times}0^{2}{\~}157{\times}10^{2}\;MPa,\;17.6{\~}24.7\;MPa,\;5.98{\~}7.94\;MPa\;and\;3.43{\~}4.70\;MPa$, respectively. It was concluded that the blast furnace slag powder and stone dust can be used in the Eco-permeable polymer concrete.
Telogen effluvium due to the inflammation of hyaluronic acid filler migration

Hyaluronic acid(HA) filler injection is one of the most common methods for soft tissue augmentation. Complications associated with HA filler are commonly reported such as pain, swelling, bruise and rarely migration of product, allergic reaction, injection necrosis. However, HA induced alopecia is rarely reported. A 59-year-old female presented with localized hair loss patch on frontal area for about 1 months. The patient underwent forehead augmentation by receiving 3 cc injections of HA filler 1 month ago. After filler injection on forehead, she complained erythema and swelling patch on scalp. And then, she noticed an area of alopecia over her frontal area. Personal medical history was unremarkable. A skin biopsy was performed. Histopathologic examination revealed that pools of mucin consistent with HA filler in dermis and increased telogen hair. We treated her using triamcinolone injection and narrow band ultraviolet B therapy. Hair regrowth in her alopecia area was observed after treatment for 1 month. With our knowledge, this is a rare case report of telogen effluvium due to the inflammation of hyaluronic acid filler migration

Background: Laser treatment with ultraviolet B (UVB) irradiation has an advantage in treating vitiligo in a targeted manner. Recently, a gain-switched 311-nm titanium:sapphire laser (TSL) was developed based on the peak spectrum of narrow-band UVB Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy, the treatment satisfaction of the patients, and the safety between a conventional 308-nm excimer laser (EL) and a brand-new the gain-switched 311-nm TSL in vitiligo patient Methods: This intervention study was designed as a prospective, randomized, intra-patient, comparison trial. The lesions were evaluated the re-pigmentation efficacy using conventional digital camera and specialized image analyzing device with Antera 3D<sup>®</sup> (Miravex). Results: The average concentration of melanin change was 18.06% for EL group and 16.97% for TSL group. The average of hypopigment level change showed reduction of pigmentation 69.37% in EL group, 71.77% in TSL group. There was no statistically difference between EL and TSL group in global assessment, melanin average and hypopigment level change. For safety profiles including persistent erythema after treatment, statistically significant differences were found between EL and TSL group. However, patient satisfaction and preference in EL group were similar with those in TSL group. Conclusion: The newly launched gain-switched 311-nm titanium:sapphire laser exhibited similar efficacies and safety to preexisting the 308-nm excimer laser in treating vitiligo

Milia en plaque(MEP) is a rare dermal tumor, characterized by numerous tiny milia aggregated within an erythematous base. The majority of the cases have been described around the ears. Rarely cases have been described at other sites including eyelids, inner canthus, supraclavicular area and nasal folds. The pathogenesis of MEP is not clear. Despite its benign nature and lack of subjective symptoms, MEP is a cause of cosmetic concern. At present, treatment of MEP is limited and minocyclin, topical tretinoin, cryotherapy and CO<sub>2</sub> laser therapy have been proposed as treatment for MEP A 41-year-old male presented with asymptomatic multiple yellowish to whitish papules grouped in a plaque on lateral side of Lt. lower eyelid. The lesion had been presented for 3 years. There was no other cutaneous or systemic abnormality. Skin biopsy was done and showed multiple keratin-filled cysts lined by stratified epithelium in the upper dermis and surrounded by mild lymphocytic infiltration. The patient was given a diagnosis of milia en plaque. For treatment, Erbium-YAG laser was done to ablate the superficial dermis and followed by drilling technique with CO<sub>2</sub> laser. At 8 months follow up, the patient showed complete resolution of the milia without recurrence and a very pleasing cosmetic result. Herein, we report a case of periocular milia en plaque successfully treated by combined with ablative erbium-YAG laser and CO<sub>2</sub> laser drilling.

Background: Mushroom poisonings are infrequent but potentially fatal. Most fatalities are due to the amatoxin containing species, particularly Amanita phalloides, Amanita virosa, Amanita verna which cause fulminant hepatic failure often with encephalopathy. Methods: We experienced twenty two patients with acute mushroom poisoning admitted to Dong San hospital, Keimyung University through emergency department between January 1990 and September 1997. Results: Mean age of the patients was 40.0years and the ratio of male to female was 1:0.83. Seasonal distribution is 10 patients in July, 3 in August and 9 in September. The mean interval between ingestion and early symptom onset was 9.7 hours. Most of the patients had early gastrointestinal symptoms; abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, except for a patient with associated mental change. The subsequent symptoms and signs follow up admission were fulminant hepatic failure(72.7%), renal failure(31.8%), mental change(27.3%), acute pancreatitis(9.1%), pericardial effusion(4.5%) and erythematous rash(4.5%). The outcomes of the patients were recovery(72.7%), death(18.2%) and hopeless discharge(9.1 %) Conclucion : The patients who have mushroom poisoning are misdiagnosed as having viral gastroenteritis and are dischrged frequently. The doctors and people should be educated not to overlook the severity of mushroom poisoning.
A study on the key performance indicator of the dynamic positioning system

The dynamic positioning system (DPS) maintains an offshore vessel's position and heading under various environmental conditions by using its own thrust. DPS is regarded as one of the most important systems in offshore vessels. So, efficient operation and maintenance of the DPS are important issues. To monitor the DPS, it is necessary to define an appropriate key performance indicator (KPI) that can express the condition of the DPS from the perspective of operational efficiency and maintenance. In this study, a new KPI for the DPS is proposed considering the efficiency of the machinery and controller, the energy efficiency, and the environmental conditions in which the DPS is operated. The KPI is defined as a function of control deviation, energy consumption, and environmental load. A normalization factor is used to normalize the effect of environmental load on the KPI. The KPI value is calculated from DPS simulation and model test data. The possibility of applying the KPI to monitoring of DPS condition is discussed by comparing the values. The result indicates the feasibility of the new KPI.
