        In order to present the basic data on the rational prep-plan and the fundamental conception with regards to the city park of Seoul, the improvement plan and fundamental conceptions are herewith presented after examining the present stats and problems of Seoul city's park. 1. For the state of park greens as of the end of 1992, Seoul has 1,348 parks covering 150.4 square kilometers which is equivalent to 13.71 square meters per person who inhabits in the city. 2. For the problems to be solved on the park green, laying the park sites disproportionately to the outskirts, the excessive numbers of non-furnished parks, the shortage of special faculties and so forth are listed. 3. As for the improvement plan regarding the park greens' problems, the fractionalizing of city park classification, the suppression of usage change of natural green spaces, the revision of regulations regarding the securing of city park facilities and sites in the park related regulations, the new installation of management post and park greens, the training and disposition of special manpowers, the activation of local resident participation in the administrative organization of park greens, the preparation of various space facilities, the execution of civil consignment of management, the expansion of park to new city center etc in the park preparation and operations are listed.

        공원범죄의 피해방지를 위한 합리적인 방안

        Before constructing parks, it's necessary to formulate plans in the direction of preventing crimes in advance, and follow-up management must be done after constructing the parks completely. If citizens are reluctant to use the parks because public safety is not guaranteed, the reason for being disappears. If the parks do not protect citizens from crimes, it would rather not exist than do harm to them. Rather, it is good policy. In this respect, the current system must be improved, which has no manual for crime prevention being confined to policy of increasing the number of parks. Through the government's expressing its firm will to secure public safety of parks by enacting clear provisions so that the original good will is not distorted to make resting places for citizens, a recognition that illegal acts which make others anxious are punished necessarily must be instilled into park users while taking a sound rest is protected thoroughly. In addition, the police should do the patrols actively in order to prevent crimes in the parks and try to increase street lamps and security CCTV installation in collaboration with the agencies concerned including gu offices. However, it can be said the most important thing to prevent damage of the crimes in the parks is the very civic consciousness. We should keep it in mind that along with continuous efforts by the police and public organizations, a sense of ownership that 'I am the owner of the park' and mature civic consciousness to ‘care for the park like my house’ will make the parks safe without crimes.

        일 대학병원 주차장 유료화에 따른 주차장 이용실태 조사

        Background : As parking problem caused by increasing owner-driver and patients concentration to a general hospital is becoming one of the dissatisfactions in medical care. It is time that a general hospital should solve the parking problem in a desirable way. The purpose of this survey is to let the clients understand the basic motivation of the pay parking and develop the better parking system. Methods : Clients of a tertiary care hospital in Chon-ju were surveyed by means of a questionnaire. All in all, 193, subjects answered the questionnaire. Results : In relation to the previous experiences, 39.6% of the subjects experienced inconvenience with confuse parking lot and the shortage of parking space. Under the were more than those who didn't 62.7% of the subjects answered that the y could find the parking lot easily. 33.2% of the subjects mentioned that it was not easy to drive in the parking area ; The reasons were pointed out the shortage of space, disordered parking, and insufficient guide, 12.8% of the subjects satisfied with the current administering system of parking lot. The outpatients were more affirmative than the admitted patients about the charging system. As for the parking fee, 64% of the subjects answered that it is expensive, and 89.5% of the subjects answered that it is expensive, and 89.5% of the subjects thought imposing of parking fee is irrational. Conclusion : To say as a whole, th basic purpose of the charging system are more of less accepted. However, the management details like parking facilities and payment method are dissatisfactory, so it is necessary to improve the management system. It is also noted that the inpatients showed more negative attitude than the outpatients with the charging system. To secure a more convenient parking, the parking system should be considered in relation to the information service, kind guidance, improve facilities, personnel cooperation, fix outpatient scheduling system. etc.

      • 아파트단지의 주차실태에 관한 연구 : 대구광역시를 중심으로 Foused on Daegu city

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the parking situations in apartment complexes and to propose the method to solve problems. The objects of the case study were classified by the parking situation level according to the parking demand and supply. And the parking situations in the case areas was performed. The results of this study are as follows; 1. In the apartment complexes where the supply ratio is not enough because they were built more than 15 years ago, residents are parking outside the complexes even though they reformed parking lots. 2. In the apartment complexes where parking lots and the whole of cars are not balanced, some residents are parking somewhere the parking lots in 2 rows and many parking behaviors are found. 3. Few people use underground parking lots where the arrangement is not suitable.

        This study begins analysis the parking situations in apartment complex. It originated from understanding of the preference of users about underground parking lot. The method of this study is based on field survey of parking demand and thoughts of users of underground parking lot. There are so many parking problems in apartment complex that is due to the absence of parking demand data. So the goal of this study is to provide a solution of parking problems in apartment complex through understanding of the actual condition of parking problems, the preference and the reason of users about underground parking lot in apartment complex.

        대구시 아파트단지의 주차수요에 관한 연구

        After 1980's, the ratio of car possessions has been increased rapidly. Nowaday, most large cities have suffered a lot of problems about traffic and car parking. Specially in apartment complexes, they have parking problem which is caused by the parking demand. The ratio of parking demand at multi-family housing sites has been increased significantly, therefore several parking problems have occurred. The goal of this study is to investigate the parking demand per housing unit size of apartment complex in Daegu city. The results of this study is as follows. (1) The parking demand of 60 $m^2$ below sized housing unit is 1.09 car per the unit. (2) The parking demand of 60 $m^2$ over 85 $m^2$ below sized housing unit is 1.31 car per the unit. (3) The parking demand of 85 $m^2$ over 135 $m^2$ below sized housing unit is 1.74 car per the unit. (4) The parking demand of 135 $m^2$ over sized housing unit is 2.10 car per the unit.

        청도새마을운동 기념공원 기본계획

        The Saemaeul Movement, which is the representative national campaign of Korea aimed at the development of local communities, has drawn a great deal of attention from home and abroad and formed an element of Korea``s national brand since 2000. Accordingly, this research was conducted for the purpose of constructing a memorial park in Shindo Village, Cheongdo County, North Kyoungsang Province, which is a home to the Saemaeul Movement. As the Saemaeul Movement is benchmarked by many countries around the world today, this research aims to communicate the spirit and social value of the movement and disseminate its effects of local community development in rural areas through the construction of a memorial park. In this study, the design motive of the memorial park was conceived through the historical review and case studies of the Saemaeul Movement. In parallel, theoretical study was also conducted on design techniques as the basis of this research. In consideration of the characteristics of a technical article, this research was conducted in several phases. In the first phase, the conditions of the site where the park construction was planned were analyzed and the direction of its development was set. In the second phase, the main theme and the basic principles of planning were established, and the contents of the park construction project were devised in detail. In the last phase, a comprehensive plan was established, including a space layout to accommodate activities, facilities and programs to be introduced to the park. The park construction site (106,000㎡) was divided into four zones (memorial zone, historical theme park, education zone and experience zone) based on circulation planning aimed at creating memorial space, and was linked to eco-friendly ecological space in consideration of environmental features. At a time when the Saemaeul Movement is being propagated across the world, the result of this study will help create a place for its memorial and play a pivotal role to boost international movements aimed at promoting co-prosperity across the global village. It will also bear significance as an example of theme-based park construction in a rural area and the invigoration of a local community.

      • 八公山 自然公園의 利用者 滿足에 關한 因果模型 硏究 : Case Study of Palgong Natural Park in Taegu

        This research suggests a causal model to investigate factors and variables which significant effects on user satisfaction with natural park recreational facilities in Palgong Natural Park in Daegu, and thereby identifing implications for planning and development of urban natural parks and provincial parks. For this study data were gathered by self- administered question-nares from 933 households selected by the multi - stage probability sampling method. The analysis of the data consists of two phases. The first involves exploratory factor analysis of the draw meaningful factors from the data. Four factors were identified. The second phase test the casual model of this research employing LISREL methodology. On the base of the analysis results. important implication for planning urban natural park and provincial park are recommended.

        A Study on Assessment of Utilities of Urban Forest with Reference to User Satisfaction - Case Study of Apsan City Natural Park in Taegu -

        This study aims at identifying factors and variables which have significant effects on users satisfaction with recreational activities and facilities in Apsan city natural park and thereby establishing indicies of planning and/or development of urban forest. To test the causal models of this research, The data were gathered by self-administered questionnaires from 1,147 households in Taegu city which were selected by the multi-stage probabiling sampling method. The analysis of the data primarily consist of two phases : The fires analysis dealt with exploratory factor analysis which identified major factors involved in satisfaction with recreational activities and facilities in Apsan city natural park and the second analysis tested the fit of causal models of this research to the data using LISREI, methodology. LISREL refers to a general statistical model for analysis if Linear Structural RELationships among quantitative variables. Now a new verson of ;accompanying computer program, LISREL VI is available. LISREL IV is an improved to fit and test structural equation models which specify phenomena antler study in terms of putative cause and effect variables and their indicators. The variables in the structural equations may be observed measurements or latent variables The LISREL or casual model consists of the measurement and structural equation models. The measurement model specifies how the latent variables are measured in terms of the observed variables and is used to describe the measurement properties of the observed variable. The structural equation model specifies the casual relationships among the latent variable and is used to describe the causal effects. Latent variables of unobserved variables represent theoretical constructs. The LISREL model consists of two sets of unobserved variables, the dependent variables η, and the independent variable ξ, which are considered a cause of η in the system of linear structural relations: η=Βη_Γξ+ζ where Β and Γ are parameter matrices of direct causal effects and ζ is a vector of structural disturbance or residuals. The LI5REL computer program estimates the unknown coefficients of the structural equations and the covariance matrices of the residuals and measurement errors. Standard errors of all estimated paramated are provided along with chi-square tests of the fit of the models and structural hypotheses within the model. The most important advantage of LISREL comparing with multivariate analytic techniques is that is enables the researcher to test a theory. To use LISREL the researcher should have a priori theory to be tested. The factor analysis identified that three significant factors are involved in satisfaction with recreational activities and that five significant factors are inherent in satisfaction with recreational facilities. The three factors of satisfaction with recreational activities are mental relaxation, physical health, and calmness and the five factors related to satisfaction with recreational facilities are convenience Facility, linear physical exercise facility, viewing facility, space for repose and play, and climbing facility. The second phase analysis tested the tit of the causal models for satisfaction with recreational activides and facilities to the data and identified sadistically significant causal linkage among overall satisfaction with the park, other indigenous factors and exogenous variables. Overall fits of both causal models were goad. Among iudogenous factors, calmness and space for repose and play factors were identified as having significant effects on overall satisfaction. Exogenous variables which have significant effects on indogenous variables were also identified. These significant relationships represent important factors and variables that should be considered in planning and/or development of the city natural park.       • 도심에서 운전자 주차행동특성에 관한 연구

        In this study, driver's parking behavior characteristics in C.B.D were analyzed by quantification theory Ⅱ, and the variables deeply correlate with parking behavior. And for developing parking choice model, binary logit model was applied to the case of that choice alternative were legal or illegal parking and on-road or off-road parking, and multinominal logit model that can predicts three alternatives simultaneously was applied to the case of that choice alternatives were on-road, off-road and illegal parking. Parking choice models developed in this study, are expected to generate available data in developing and validating parking policy.
