        The Development and Implementation of a Low-Cost Integrated Control System for Aerial Survey

        This paper presents the development of a low-cost integrated control system for aerial survey based on pan-tilt and multi-sensor data fusion. The design of aerial vehicle route planning, pan-tilt mechanical structure and attitude estimation are discussed in detail. A route planning file containing flight paths and automatic exposure points is firstly derived by the route plan software to control the whole aerial photography task. As for the most challenging task, accurate attitude estimation, a custom Kalman filtering hardware module based on FPGA is introduced. The introduced module invokes the build-in multipliers of FPGA to achieve Kalman filtering hardware implementation, which leads to a rapid attitude estimation. After that mechanical structure of a specialized pan-tilt is designed and fabricated to adjust the camera attitude to the vertical direction of the ground plane. The practice aerial survey is also conducted to evaluate the accuracy and performance of designed control system. Our studies indicates that with the designed control system, it would be feasible to configure an aerial survey system while cooperate with professional aerial camera or some other civil cameras, which will make it easier to focusing on evaluation of aerial survey concepts and approaches.

        Identification and quantification of oleanane triterpenoid saponins and potential analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities from the roots and rhizomes of Panax stipuleanatus

        Background: Panax stipuleanatus represents a folk medicine for treatment of inflammation. However, lack of experimental data does not confirm its function. This article aims to investigate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities of triterpenoid saponins isolated from P. stipuleanatus. Methods: The chemical characterization of P. stipuleanatus allowed the identification and quantitation of two major compounds. Analgesic effects of triterpenoid saponins were evaluated in two models of thermal- and chemical-stimulated acute pain. Anti-inflammatory effects of triterpenoid saponins were also evaluated using four models of acetic acid-induced vascular permeability, xylene-induced ear edema, carrageenan-induced paw edema, and cotton pellet-induced granuloma in mice. Results: Two triterpenoid saponins of stipuleanosides R₁ (SP-R₁) and R₂ (SP-R₂) were isolated and identified from P. stipuleanatus. The results showed that SP-R₁ and SP-R₂ significantly increased the latency time to thermal pain in the hot plate test and reduced the writhing response in the acetic acid-induced writhing test. SP-R₁ and SP-R₂ caused a significant decrease in vascular permeability, ear edema, paw edema, and granuloma formation in inflammatory models. Further studies showed that the levels of inflammatory mediators, nitric oxide, malondialdehyde, tumor necrosis factor-α, and interleukin 6 in paw tissues were downregulated by SP-R₁ and SP-R₂. In addition, the rational harvest of three- to five-year-old P. stipuleanatus was preferable to obtain a higher level of triterpenoid saponins. SP-R₂ showed the highest content in P. stipuleanatus, which had potential as a chemical marker for quality control of P. stipuleanatus. Conclusion: This study provides important basic information about utilization of P. stipuleanatus resources for production of active triterpenoid saponins.

        Recovery of Platinum from Spent Petroleum Catalysts by a Hydrometallurgical Method

        Platinum was recovered from the leaching solution of spent petroleum catalysts by solvent extraction. The spent catalysts were first roasted at 800 ℃ to eliminate volatile matter. Most of the platinum in the spent catalysts was dissolved at an optimum leaching condition in a mixture of HCl and H2O2. Separation of platinum from the leaching solution was accomplished by solvent extraction with Aliquat 336 after iron was removed by extraction with TBP. Platinum and iron were stripped from the loaded Aliquat 336 and TBP by using 1 M HClO4 and 0.1 M HCl, respectively. Finally, HCl in the raffinate was recovered by extraction with TEHA and then by stripping with water. The optimum conditions to dissolve platinum and to separate platinum by solvent extraction are reported together with the mass balance of the constituents of the spent catalysts in each step.

        Halogen as halogen-bonding donor and hydrogen-bonding acceptor simultaneously in ring-shaped H<sub>3</sub>N·X(Y)·HF (X = Cl, Br and Y = F, Cl, Br) Complexes

        <P>A series of ring-shaped molecular complexes formed by H<SUB>3</SUB>N, HF and XY (X = Cl, Br and Y = F, Cl, Br) have been investigated at the MP2/aug-cc-pVTZ level of theory. Their optimized geometry, stretching mode, and interaction energy have been obtained. We found that each complex possesses two red-shifted hydrogen bonds and one red-shifted halogen bond, and the two hydrogen bonds exhibit strong cooperative effects on the halogen bond. The cooperativity among the NH<SUB>3</SUB>⋯FH, FH⋯XY and H<SUB>3</SUB>N⋯XY interactions leads to the formations of these complexes. The AIM analysis has been performed at the CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVQZ level of theory to examine the topological characteristics at the bond critical point and at the ring critical point, confirming the coexistence of the two hydrogen bonds and one halogen bond for each complex. The NBO analysis carried out at the B3LYP/aug-cc-pVTZ level of theory demonstrates the effects of hyperconjugation, hybridization, and polarization coming into play during the hydrogen and halogen bonding formations processes, based on which a clockwise loop of charge transfer was discovered.         의료기술의 발달로 인간의 수명이 늘어나면서 건강한 삶에 대한 욕구가 커지자, 웰빙과 로하스의 바람을 타고 ‘건강하게 잘 먹고 잘 살자'는 인식이 확산되기 시작하였고, 현재는 하나의 문화코드로 자리 잡게 되었다· 이러한 시대적 흐름의 변화에 따라 관광산업에 있어서도 관광과 건강을 접목한 상품이 나타나기 시작했고, 초기단계에서는 헬스 투어리즘의 개념으로 다루어 졌다· 하지만 이제 단순한 헬스 케어의 범위를 넘어서 질병의 치료에서부터 건강과 휴양프로그램을 포함하는 폭넓은 의미의 건강치료를 위해 다른 장소를 방문하고 여행하는 의료관광의 개념으로 발달하였다· 이러한 트렌드에 발 맞추어 본 연구에서는 대구광역시를 찾는 중국인 관광객들의 의료관광동기를 조사하였다· 구체적으로 의료관광동기가 전반적 만족과 재방문의도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며, 또한 전반적 만족이 재방문의도에 미치는 영향도 조사하였다· 표본추출은 대구 의료병원에서 일하는 중국 직원을 통해 대구 지역에 있는 방문율이 높은 병원 10곳과 중국의 여행사 3곳을 통하여 의료관광 완료 후 귀가하는 중국 의료관광객을 대상으로 중국어 설문지 총 200부를 배부하여 조사하였다· 조사결과 의료관광동기는 총 2요인(문화체험, 의료건강)으로 나타났으며, 2요인 모두 전반적 만족과 재방문 의도에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다· 문화체험요인이 전반적 만족에 미치는 영향이 의료건강보다 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 반면에 의료건강요인은 재방문의도에 문화적 체험보다 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다· 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 대구중심권 병원들은 의료를 중심으로 주변 대구관광권의 패키지화, 그리고 경증환자를 위한 맞춤형 의료서비스를 도입하여야 할 것이다· The primary purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between medical tourism motivation, satisfaction and the revisit intention of Chinese visitors. In this study, the theories of medical tourism motivation and satisfaction have been adopted to explain Chinese visitors' revisit intention. In order to collect the data needed for this study, an on-site questionnaire was developed. Chinese and Korean language versions of the questionnaire were prepared. A systematic sample of subjects was obtained from Chinese visitors who have been to Korea. Data were collected through on-site surveys by face-to-face interviews conducted over 15 days in 2014. Three hypotheses were examined to represent the relationships between medical tourism motivation, satisfaction and revisit intention. The proposed hypotheses suggested that there are significant and positive relationships between medical tourism motivation, satisfaction and revisit intention. A statically significant and positive relationship between medical tourism motivation and satisfaction suggested that motivation influences the level of the visitor's satisfaction. At the same time, motivation influences the level of revisit intention. The result suggested that medical tourism motivation played an important role in the process of making satisfaction judgments. The findings of this study offer several managerial implications for Korean directors who make policy related to medical tourism. For example, the results of the evaluation can be used as background for allocating budgets and other management resources.

      • Separation of neodymium and dysprosium from nitrate solutions by solvent extraction with Cyanex272

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The separation of Nd and Dy from nitrate solutions using bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl) phosphinic acid (Cyanex272) was investigated. Selective extraction of Dy(III) over Nd(III) was achieved with Cyanex272 when the HNO<SUB>3</SUB> concentration was 0.001 mol/L. Small amounts of co-loaded Nd(III) were removed by scrubbing with 0.05 mol/L dysprosium nitrate solution. Subsequently, stripping of Dy(III) from loaded Cyanex272 was accomplished using 0.3 mol/L HNO<SUB>3</SUB>. The McCabe-Thiele diagrams were constructed for both extraction of Dy(III) with Cyanex272 and stripping with HNO<SUB>3</SUB>. Finally, a process to separate Nd and Dy was proposed.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Neodymium and dysprosium were separated by solvent extraction with Cyanex272. </LI> <LI> Cyanex272 had selectivity for Dy(III) over Nd(III) in 0.001 mol/L HNO<SUB>3</SUB> solution. </LI> <LI> Scrubbing of co-extracted Nd(III) was successful with Dy(NO<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>3</SUB> solution. </LI> <LI> Dysprosium in loaded Cyanex272 was stripped using 0.3 mol/L HNO<SUB>3</SUB>. </LI> </UL> </P>
