        결핵성 흉막염과 악성 흉수의 감별진단에 있어서 흉수 IFN-$\gamma$ 측정의 유용성

        Background: It is sometimes difficult to differentiate tuberculous pleural effusion from malignant pleural effusion by clinical symptoms, signs, by routine tests of pleural fluid, and by pathologic studies. And recently, it was discovered that cytokines such as IL-2, IFN-$\gamma$, TNF-$\alpha$ are elevated in tuberculous pleural fluid, and there have been several attempts to diagnose tuberculous pleural effusion by using these immunological mediators. There are several studies regarding the diagnostic value of IFN-$\gamma$, and there are two studies in Korea. But the diagnostic values of IFN-$\gamma$ in these studies were slightly lower than those in other countries. To compare the diagnostic value of IFN-$\gamma$ with those of CEA and ADA, and to determine the sensitivity and specificity of IFN-$\gamma$ in Korean, we mesured IFN-$\gamma$, CEA level and ADA activity in pleural effusions. Methods: ADA activity, IFN-$\gamma$ level and CEA level as well as cell count, differential count, and biochemical assays such as protein content and lactate dehydrogenase were measured in 40 cases of tuberculous pleuritis and 42 cases of malignant pleural effusion. Results: Tuberculous pleural fluid showed higher levels of IFN-$\gamma$ and ADA ($832.6{\pm}357.2$ pg/ml and $82.5{\pm}25.9$ U/L, respectively) than those of malignant pleural effusion ($2.6{\pm}8.0$ pg/ml and $19.2{\pm}10.9$ U/L, respectively) (p<0.01). Malignant pleural effusions showed higher median value (102.2 ng/ml) than tubercalous pleural effusions (1.8 ng/ml) (p<0.01). The sensitivities of IFN-$\gamma$, ADA, CEA were 0.97, 0.87, 0.67 and the specificities of IFN-$\gamma$, ADA, CEA were 1.0, 0.97, 1.0, respectively. There was no significant correlation between ADA activity and IFN-$\gamma$ level. Conclusion: This study showed that IFN-$\gamma$ test would be a very useful clinical test for differential diagnosis of tuberculous pleuritis and malignant pleural effusion because it is very sensitive and specific, although it is an expensive test.

        통배추김치에 관한 연구 - 대구지역을 중심으로 담그는 방법과 기호에 관한 실태조사 -

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the method of making whole Chinese cabbage Kimchi, the family`s taste in Kimchi and the reason for disliking the taste of Kimchi in the Taegu area The results were as follows; 1) Most housewives learned the method of making the Kimchi from their mothers. Method was as follows; First, scatter salt on the whole Chinese cabbage. and soak that for 3∼6 hours. After, wash the whole Chinese cabbage 3 times. Then, add red pepper powder, garlic, ginger and salted fermented anchovy as basic seasoning. Be sure to, mix the red pepper powder and salted fermented anchovy until they taste hot and salty. Store the whole Chinese cabbage until they ferment. Afterwards store the whole Chinese cabbage in the refrigerator. 2) It was the whole Chinese cabbage Kimchi that most family members preferred. 3) Among the family members, the old age group preferred newly made Kimchi because of the cool and fresh taste. The adult group preferred fresh taste, also smell and peculiar taste of the seasoning were important. The adolescent group preferred fresh taste and sour taste. 4) It shows that most of the family likes Kimchi, and among the family members, about 25% of the sons and daughters dislike Kimchi. And it shows that all family members dislike salty taste. 5) The older housewives` Kimchi was preferred over the younger housewives` Kimchi.

        생리 및 위생분야 교과용도서의 근대적 주거지식(1894-1910)

        개항 이후 이과 및 박물과목에서 교수된 생리 및 위생분야에 사용된 교과용도서 안에 포함된 주거에 관한 새로운 지식은 모두 위생문제에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 채광, 환기, 건조 등의 조건이 중요한 조건으로 제시되고 이런 조건을 만족시키기 위한 주거의 위생적 관리 및 계획에 관한 간단한 내용이 등장한다. 이들 내용을 생리 및 위생분야 안에서도 장기설, 인체생리학, 공기의 성절에 관한 물리·화학적 지식 등을 근거로 삼아 전개되었기에, ‘과학적’이고 ‘근대적’인 지식으로서 보급되었다. 또한 이후 일제강점기 근대적 주거에 대한 논의가 진행되는 과정에서도 생리 및 위생분야 교과용도서에서 다루어진 채광, 환기, 건조 등의 항목은 중요한 주거계획 요건으로 취급되었다. The new knowledge in the textbooks for Physiology and Hygiene in Korea 1905-1910 was focused on the problems of hygiene. Lighting, ventilation, dryness were proposed as main conditions for hygienic housing, for which management and planning methods were explained. This knowledge was taught as ‘scientific’ or ‘modern’ knowledge based on the physiological theory and air property, thereafter the conditions were placed as important conditions of modern housing.

        남녀 대학생의 식행동에 관한 연구(1)

        The aim of this study was to determine what kinds of foods university students have, how often they eat out and the regularity and quantity of food they consume. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 597 university students. The main results are as follows: The average weight of the participants was 68.24㎏(male) and 53.12㎏(female) with average height 174.50㎝(male) and 162.48㎝(female). Many students are irregularly (breakfast 73.5%, lunch 54.4%, dinner 57.1%). The percentage students who had a meal with the average amounts of food were 32.2%(breakfast), 61.1%(lunch), 39.2(dinner). Male students are out than female (lunch>dinner>breakfast). Male students usually are rice, meat, fish, soybean and seaweeds, Female students are bread, fruits and milk products. Male students consumed carbonated beverages drinks and alcohol more often than females-who consumed many types of-snack. More female students preferred fast food than males.

        남녀 대학생의 식행동에 관한 연구(2) - 경제적 환경을 중심으로 -

        The purposes of this study were to determine what kinds of food university students had, how often they were eating out and how much they consumed. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 597 university students (male : 40.9%, female : 59.1%). The students who spent under 200 thousand won per month had regular meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The students with personal monthly spending over 300 thousand won, both male and female, ate out more than others. The female students had more protein foods than the male students. Consumption of milk and milk products increased with rising monthly spending for female students. Regardless of monthly spending, the male students ate seaweeds low in 1-2 time per a week. Consumption of rice decreased with rising monthly spending for male and female students.

        일제강점기 기존 건물을 전용한 군청사의 개축 및 증축 양상

        이 연구의 목적은 기존건물을 전용하는 군청사는 어느 정도 차지하는지, 전용한 군청사의 건축적 특성은 무엇인지, 군청사 기능에 맞게 증개축하는 경우 그 양상을 고찰하는 것이다. 군청사 관련 디지털 도면자료, 해제와 더불어 조선총독부와 각 도 사이에 오고간 문서와 신문·잡지의 기사·도면·사진 등을 발굴·분석하는 문헌연구방법을 사용한다. 군청사로 전용된 건 물은 조선과 대한제국의 지방관립시설, 대한제국기 군청사, 용도를 알 수 없는 건물로 나뉜다. 전용 건물을 군청사의 위상과 기능에 적합하게 개축할 때는 방을 구획하는 벽을 털어내 큰 방을 만들고 접수대를 놓아 직원의 업무공간과 민원인의 대기공 간으로 구분했고, 증축은 전면 중앙에 작은 돌출현관을 내달고 간단한 양식 목조의 부속가를 본가의 뒤나 옆에 신축하고 외부연결복도로 이었다. 전용 군청사가 전체 군의 약 30%로 많고 전국에 걸쳐 있었는데, 그 57%가 나중에 신축되는데 절반 은 1930년대 전반기 신축되고 이후 급감한다. The purpose of this study is to investigate that which Goon office buildings were reused from existing buildings and to identify remodeling and extension ways of the reused to match Goon's administration work. This study used literature research method, i.e., analysing the digital images, the annotation, and the official documents between the Japanese government-general of Korea and To(道), and articles of newspapers and journals. The reused were governmental offices of Joseon(朝鮮) dynasty, existing Goon office buildings of Korean empire government and old buildings with unknown purposes. They were remodelled and extended to match Goon's administration work. Common remodelling was making large space with desks for civil petitions and projecting an small entrance from the center of main building's facade. Common extension was constructing accessory buildings with simple wooden structure, locating them to back or side of the reused, and connecting them through external corridor. As many as 30% of 218 Goon office buildings were reused. About 57% of them were replaced as new office buildings, however the number of the new was rapidly decreased after mid 1930s.

        당귀에 대한 기호도 및 이용 실태 조사

        This study was conducted to investigate the recognition and uses of Angelica gigas Nakai. A survey methodology was employed consisted of 37.8% males and 62.2% females from the Seoul and Kyunggido area. The main results are as follows: The older generation have liked and eaten Angelica gigas Nakai rather than the young. The most popular reason provided for the preference of Angelica gigas Nakai was good health benefits. People indicating a dislike for Angelica gigas Nakai had little previous experience of eating this plant. The purchasing main place is appeared the supermarket and traditional market. Angelica gigas Nakai was acknowledged as having the following characteristics ‘to do excellent nutrition’ (3.82), ‘natural food’ (3.76), ‘to doing for the anti-cancer and anti-oxidization’ (3.70), ‘good for anemia and women, diseases’ (3.64), and ‘good for anodyne and diuretic effect’ (3.57), but was not associated with ‘price is cheap’ (3.02) and ‘to difficult for buy’ (3.10). Recognition and eating experience was low for Angelica gigas Nakai kimchi and rice bread, bread, sauce and healthy drink added with Angelica gigas Nakai, but the opinion of the taste appeared highly.
