Seungkumdan has reputed to be effective for the remedy of sterility in order to study the effects of Seungkumdan on ovrian function, a series of experiments were conducted on the pregnancy and ovulation in rats and on the progesterone level and serum estradiol-17β level in female adult rabbits and then the following results were obtained. 1. The antiabortive effect of the drug was significantly increased in proportion to the amount administered. 2, The level of serum progesterone in pseudopregnant rabbits was significantly increased. 3. The number of ovum during ovulation in drug administered rate was increased in all groups when the drug was given at 14:30 and 15:30 and increased only in the case of the group which is administered the extracted powder when it was given at 21:30 and 22:30. PGS_2α 4. After administering Seungkumdan, the effect on antiovulation in PGS_2α treated animal showed the increasing number of ovum. 5. The level of estradiol - 17β in serum of pseudopregnant rabbit showed the decreasing tendency at the early stage of administration, but afterwards showed the remarkably increasing tendency. According to the above results, it can be concluded that Seungkumdan takes effect on the functional sterility and that the extracted powder of Seungkumdan has a better effect than the mixture of each extracted powder of Seungkumdan in the experimental animals.

A Study on the Anomalies Prevalance of Permenant Teeth by Plaster Model Analysis This study was designed to find out the prevalance dental anomalies. the suvey was undertaken of 201 college students (male: 134, femle:67) at age from 18 to 27 years and statistical analysis was made. The results were as follows: 1. The prevalence of individual dental anomalies were as follows: congenital missing teeth 10.4%, supernumerary teeth 1.5%, fused teeth 0.5%. peg lateralis 6.5%. anomalies of mandibular molar 6.0%, high canine 8.5%, malposed teeth 24.9%. 2. In congenitally missing teeth, the mandibular right lateral incisor showed the highest rate of the prevalence (2.5%), the prevalence of the congenital missing of 3rd molar was 75.6%, maxillary was more than higer mandible( p <0.05, p <0.01 ). 3. The prevalence of the peg lateralis was higher in female than male. 4. The prevalence of the malposed teeth was 0.5%-4.0% the mandibular left second premolar was the highest rate of the prevalance(4.0%). 5. The purpose of this study is to explore effects of television on children, emphasis on learning, reading, and brain function in relation to television. The method of this study was to analyze mainly the related research materials according to the purpose of this study. The study was discussed as follows; The first section compared TV instruction and regular classroom instruction. The comparisons are to show no differences in learning from the two sources. Then a question arises why it is useful to employ the TV instruction which involves much of effort, time, and economic matter. The answer to this question is that the characteristics of TV medium are good to elevate the quality of education, especially it can take over the life long education for audience. In the second section, the negative roles of television in children's intellectual development are discussed. Children in the era of TV are not likely to engage in reading and writing because they require complex mental manipulations. TV watching does not prevent normal children from acquiring reading skill but it seems to compound the problems of with reading disabilities. In the last section, the different tasks of the two brain hemispheres in relation to watching TV are discussed. The left hemisphere operates most of verbal and logical activities while the right hemisphere is specialized for visual, spatial and emotional activities. Recent largescale early education programs for infants and very young children are begining to demonstrate that early and persistent enrichment can lead to permenent gains in mental ability. And conversely, social evidence suggests that the defects of an environmentally impoverished early childhood cannot be filled up later by remedial programs and opportunities for mental stimulation. To a young child in his lanuage-learning years, any extended regression into nonverbal mental functioning such as the television experience offers must be seen as a potential setback. It is no doubt that the impacts of TV on children are enormous. However, it is important to approach this problem of what do children do with the medium rather than what does the medium do to children.
