양격산화탕(凉膈散火湯)의 항염증(抗炎症) 효과에 대한 연구

Objective: Yang Geouk San Hwa - Tang (YGSHT) has been widely used in Sasang Constitutional Medicine of Korea for treatment of acute inflammatory symptom, such as palatine tonsillitis, polydipsia, headache, papule, pimple however, the mechanism of its anti-inflammatory activity has not been clarified. In this study, therefore, we investigated the mechanism of the inhibitory effect of YGSHT on LPS-induced inflammation. Materials and methods: The effect of YGSHT was analyzed by ELISA, RT-PCR and Western blotting in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Results: We found that YGSHT suppressed not only the production of pre-inflammatory cytokines (IL-$1{\beta}$ and TNF-$\alpha$), the generation of nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin E (PGE)2, but also the mRNA expression of pre-inflammatory cytokines, inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and cyclooxygenase (COX)-2. Furthermore, YGSHT was shown to inhibit the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and JNK1/2 and the activation and translocation of NF-kB from cytosol to nuclear in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Conclusions: These results suggest that YGSHT exerts an anti-inflammatory effect through the regulation of the ERK1/2 and JNK1/2 pathway and NF-kB pathway, thereby decreasing production of pre-inflammatory cytokines, NO, and PGE2.

전신마취 유도 직후 발생한 일측성 급성 기도폐쇄

Acute unilateral airway obstruction may be developed immediately after general anesthetic induction. Tracheal intubation is essential procedure to support lives for who is coma or undergo general anesthesia, but several complications could occur. One of these is airway obstruction immediately after endotracheal tube insertion because of bronchial mucous plug, previous aspirated foreign body, hemoptysis ect. This acute bronchial obstruction may be manifested clinically by hypoxemia, cardiovascular instability, brain damage, if more aggravated to death due to partial or complete interruption of ventilation to an lung. Therefore if endotracheal tube obstruction may occur, early detection and treatment is very critical. A 53-year-old male patient underwent acute unilateral obstruction of bronchus immediately after inserted endotracheal tube, so he revealed hypoxemia, hypotension, but smooth operation and anesthetic care was progressed overall owing to endotracheal tube suction and replacement of tube.

HMIPv6 환경에서의 최소비용 MAP 선택 기법

Mobility Anchor points are used for the mobility management in HMIP_(v)6 networks, Currently a mobile node selects the MAP farthest away from itself as a new MAP among available candidates when it undertakes a macro hand off. With this technique, however, the traffic tends to be concentrated at a MAP with the largest domain size and the communication cost increases due to the distance between the mobile node and the MAP In this work, we propose a novel scheme to select a MAP to minimize the communication cost, taking the mobile node's moving speed and data rate into account. To come up with the scheme we analyses the communication analyses the communication cost into the binding update cost and the data packet delivery cost, and derive an equation representing the optimal MAP domain size to minimize the total cost.

무릎운동훈련들이 안쪽빗넓은근과 가쪽넓은근의 수축 개시시간에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of knee exercises on the onset times of vastus medialis oblique muscle (VMO) and vastus lateralis muscle (VL) and in healthy subjects. Fifteen subjects (7 men, 8 women) in a mean age of 25.4 years participated in the study. Electromyographic (EMG) signals were recorded from the VMO and VL under four exercises. Knee exercises consisted of open kinematic terminal knee extension, straight leg raising, isometric hip adduction exercise, and closed kinematic terminal knee extension. No significant differences were found in the onset times of EMG activities of VMO and VL in the four exercises. There were also no significant differences among the exercises. These results coincided with previous studies that found no difference between onset of VMO and VL. However, it is difficult to say that there is no difference between onset of VMO and VL in healthy subjects. To confirm this results, further researches that follow same onset determination metod and exercises are needed. Not only is the study of onset time of muscle needed, but also the studies of the amount of activation and the rate of increase of muscle activation are needed.

당뇨병 환아의 당뇨캠프 프로그램 종료후 시간경과에 따른 우울,자기효능감,자기존중감의 변화

The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of diabetic camp program on depression, self-efficacy and self-esteem of the juvenile diabetic patients who had participated diabetic camp program at Seoul and Kyung In area from August 5 to August 9, 1995. It was compared the change of depression, self efficacy and self-esteem right after participating the program, 6 and 12 month. Nursing staffs explained them how to respond to the questionnaire of depression, self-efficacy and self-esteem. The questionnaire of depression, self-efficacy and self-esteem was especially developed by both dibetes mellitus nurse specialist and pediatric nursing progessors for this study. Elementary school students are asked to response yes or no questionnarie. We asked the 5 lidert scale questionnaire for the both middle and high school students. Paired t-test was used to compare the difference right after the diabetic camp program, 6 and 12 month. Depression decreased right after participating the program, while self-esteem increased significantly following the program in elementary school students. And after the camp, there was o change in depression and self-esteem scores 6 and 12 month. There was no change in self-esteem and self-efficacy right after the camp, 6 and 12 month in middle and high school students. The result suggests that diabetic camp program could be the effective way to decrease depression and to increase self-efficacy and self-esteem, which has continued effect of diabetic camp program on depression, self-efficacy and self-esteem after 6 and 12 onth of the diabetic camp.

대학수학능력시험의 문제은행 활용 방안

본고에서는 대학수학능력시험에서 문제은행을 활용 할 수 있는 방안에 대하여 논의하려 한다. 먼저 문제은행의 의미와 본질을 간단히 논의하고, 실제로 현재 우리나라에서 문제은행을 활용하여 출제하고 있는 시험에 대해서 논의하고 시사점을 추출하였다. 대학수학능력시험을 문제은행식으로 출제할 때 예상되는 문제점을 보안의 문제, 문항제작상의 문제, 많은 수의 양질의 문항을 확보하는데 따른 어려움, 문항의 저장 및 보관 관리의 문제, 사회문화적 인식의 문제 등으로 나누어 논의하였다. 대학수학능력시험에서 문제은행식의 출제여부는 이제는 결단의 문제이다. 문제은행체제의 구축에 의한 대학수학능력시험의 출제는 양질의 문항을 출제할 수 있으며, 여러 번 시험을 보는 것이 가능하고 또한 몇 년간의 시험결과를 활용할 수 있다는 측면에서 대학수학능력시험만을 위해 고등학교 전학년과 몇몇 학생들은 몇 년 동안 준비하는 것을 줄일 수 있다. 대학수학능력시험은 이제는 교육외적인 문제나 사회 문화적인 요인보다는 대학수학능력시험을 치르는 피험자의 입장에서 고려되어야 하고 그 자료를 활용하는 대학의 입장에서 고려되어야 한다.

Base plates for tubular columns have been proposed in AISC Design Guide Series (1991), which have been developed for wide flange columns. Therefore, 1) Base plate must be designed by considering external cantilever model and internal simple supported slab model, when base plate is loaded by normal load. 2) Base plate is designed by more economical method between internal cantilever model and design method of 1), when base plate is loaded by light load. But, this study is proposed design method of 1) except 2), and it will demonstrate using design examples of table2,3.

Garlic allinase had the optimum substrate concentration of 40 mM Sallyl-L cysteine sulfoxide, the optimum temperature of 40℃ and the optimum pH of 8.0. The enzyme appeared to be stable until 40℃ for 10 minutes and above pH 6.5. Also among three storage temperatures, freeze temperature storage(-10℃) was most effective on the allinase activity.

치기공과 임상실습교육 실태 조사

This study was conducted by collecting and analyzing curricula of 19 colleges that has the department of dental laboratory technology throughout the country and analyzed by use of a questionnaire designed by the researcher with regard to details of actual operation in each college. Credit points for clinical training that has been conducted based on curricula vary from 3 to 20 points depending on colleges. But around 10 credit points are considered as ideal. For evaluation, the evaluation table was not applied but used as reference only. As criteria for evaluation such as evaluators, evaluation items and criteria for point distribution do not provide objectivity or reliability, development of accurate evaluation tools is required. It dis necessary for the bodies of colleges to maintain a level of mutual trust by visiting the sites of practical training regularly for the formation of progressive industry-academia cooperative relationships. When selecting the sites of practical training, it would be desirable to look for sites with better conditions for practical training in conjunction with related institutions. Besides, regarding clinical training education, in order for students to adapt themselves correctly to work environments and rapidly cultivate practical capabilities at site, systematic and efficient operation of training sites is required.
