      • Malachite Green유도체의 합성과 그 항균성에 관한 연구

        Malachite Green derivative bearing butyl group was prepared in the form of Leuco base, 4-butyl-4'. 4"-bis(dimethylamino) triphenylmethane, by the condensation reaction of N,N-dimethylaniline with the formyl derivative of butylbenzene, which had been obtained from butylbenzene by chlormethylation followed by oxidation. The butylbenzene was prepared by the alkylation reaction of benzene with n-butyl choride which had been obtained from n-butyl alcohol and zinc chloride. The antimicrobial and antifungal activity of buty-Malachite Green was evaluated in terms of minimum inhibitory concentration by the dilution method. The butyl-Malachite Green showed considerably increasing activity. This activity was stronger than that of hexyl-Malachite Green. This phenomenon suggested that the activities of the alkyl derivatives increase with decrease in the number of carbon in the alkyl group.

        The gasoline engines adopted in the domestic light passenger cars have not equipped with the active anti-pollution systems. The need for the anti-pollution systems is increasing with the recent spread of the light passenger cars. In this study, the effects of the catalytic converter on the engine performances and the exhaust emissions were examined. Throughout the experiments, the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio was sustained by modifying the carburettor.

      • 경기 동남부 지역의 인구 이동 : 성남, 용인, 광주 지역을 중심으로

        This study is to draw regional policy implications through analysing the migration of southeast area of Kyonggi province, Korea, especially focusing on urban region of Sungnam, Yongin, and Kwangju. In Sungnam, the housing policy should be designed for the stability of local residence since its migration occurs mainly within the region. Yongin has urgent agenda to prepare the socio-economic and environmental policy program to meet the dramatic inflow of population amounting to sixty thousand every year. Kwangju needs to develop the region as high-income residential area taking advantage of its regional characteristics. The southeast area of the province is expected to be a metropolis of the population up to three million in near future. 본 논문은 최근 인구이동의 중심에 서 있는 경기 동남부 지역, 특히 성남, 용인, 그리고 그 배후 지역인 광주의 인구이동의 특성을 살펴보고 정책적 시사점을 논의한다. 성남의 경우, 인구이동의 상당부분이 域內에서 이루어지고 있어 지역주민의 주거 안정에 정책적 초점이 맞추어져야 하고, 용인은 매년 郡단위 인구가 유입되므로 급격한 인구 증가가 가져올 사회・경제적인 그리고 환경적인 변화에 대한 대응전략 마련이 시급한 실정이다. 광주는 인근 지역의 대체 주거지로서의 역할을 하고 있어 지역적 특성을 고려한 고급 전원도시 개발이 요망된다. 이들 지역권은 향후 300만 명 이상의 대규모 도시권을 형성할 전망이다.

        ASEAN 회원국들의 지속농업 추진 현황

        ‘지속농업을 위한 연구와 개발’에 관한 심포지엄은 ASEAN 회원국, 중국, 일본 및 대한민궁이 참여하여 회원국가들의 농업기술 정보교환의 장을 제공하는 것을 근본 목적으로 개최되고 있다. 제 2차 AMAF+3 심포지엄은 ‘농업을 위한 토양과 물이용 및 보전’이란 주제로 2003년 2월 25일부터 26일까지 캄보디아 프놈펜에서 개최되었다. 총 11개국의 지속농업에 관한 추진 현황들이 발표되엇다. 1. 주제 발표로 일본은 “물부족과 지하수 오염 및 노동력 문제 해결을 위한 지속농업”에 대하여 한국은 “한국의 농경지 및 용수 문제 해결을 위한 지속농업”에 대하여 발표를 하였다. 2. ASEAN 각 국의 발표 내용은 브루나이의 “토양 비옥도 유지를 위한 연구와 개발”, 캄보디아의 “벼 생산성 증대를 위한 문제점”, 인도네시아의 “토양 지속성과 토지사용의 변화”, 라오스의 “지속농업을 위한 토양 비옥도 관리”. 말레이시아의 “지속농업을 위한 연구와 개발”, 미얀마의 “지속농업을 위한 연구와 개발”, 필리핀의 “토양 비옥도 보존 및 토양 관리를 위한 연구와 개발”, 싱가포르의 “지속농업 발전을 위한 연구와 개발”, 및 베트남의 “지속농업을 위한 연구개발” 등이었다. The second AMAF+3 symposium on research and development for sustainable agriculture was held in Phnom Penh. Cambodia on 25~26 February 2003. The basic objective of the symposium was to werve as a platform for the exchange of agricultural technology information among ASEAN+3 member countries. At this symposium, 11 countries were participated including Japan. Korea, and nine ASEAN member countries. As the results of the symposium, each country presented the papers entitled 'Mounting water deficits and the groundwater pollution'. 'Sustainable agriculture to solve the bottleneck of labor issues'. 'Sustainable agriculture to solve the issues of land and water in Korea', 'Research and development activities for sustainable soil fertility management in Brunei Darussalam', 'Productivity constraints of rice production in Cambodia'. 'Land suitability and land use changes in Indonesia'. 'Soil fertility management for sustainable agriculture in lowland rice in the Lao PDR', 'Research and development towards sustainable agriculture in Malaysia', 'Research and development for sustainable agriculture in Myanmar', 'Research and development on soil fertility management and soil conservation in the Philippines', 'Research and development in Singapore to solve the bottleneck to promote sustainable agriculture', and 'Towards the development of sustainable agriculture in Vietnam'.

      • 鐵骨桂脚部의 베이스플레이트 두께 변화에 다른 支壓强度에 관한 實驗的 硏究

        Steel structure, steel reinforced concrete and composite structure has been increasingly used to cover the increased structural load due to the construction of high-rise buildings. Thus when designing the steel structure, it is generally considered difficult to evaluate the appropriate bearing strength of the steel base, upon which large axial load is applied. The impact of steel base to the bearing strength may be various such as to the loaded areas, strength of concrete, shape of base, and steel reinforcing bars. Entire strength of the building is transferred to the reinforced concrete footing through the baseplate. However, in the case of utilizing the baseplate with low bending strength or thin baseplate, it will be hard to estimate the accurate bearing strength upon the concrete footing due to the problem of bending occurrence by which loaded area becomes smaller than baseplate. Therefore, in the reported research, the variation of the bearing strength was analyzed by altering the thickness of steel baseplate and the appropriate estimation method of bearing strength was suggested comparing with the results of other researches.

        제주도 연안 정치망에서 어획된 전갱이,고등어,잿방어를 실험어로서 집어등의 照度差 및 光照射시간에 의한 각 어종의 분포양식과 호적조도범위 그리고 성군행동의 차이를 세미휠드에서 조사분석하였고 이를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 전갱이는 가두리내 광원의 조도 최고치가 낮으면 처음부터 광원에 모여들고,광원의 조도 최고치가 높으면 광원에 체류하지 않고 밝은 구역과 어두운 구역의 중간구역에서 주로 체류하였다. 그리고,光照射시간에 따른 전갱이의 분포양식은 밝은 곳에서 어두운 곳으로 이동하였다. 2. 고등어는 가두리내 광원의 조도가 높고 낮음에 관계없이 점등과 동시에 밝은 구역으로 모이고,그후 어두운 구역과 밝은 구역 사이를 왕복 이동 하였다. 그리고 光照射시간에 따른 고등어의 분포양식은 전갱이에 비하여 강하지는 않지만 밝은 곳에서 어두운 곳으로 약간씩 이동하고 있었다. 3. 잿방어는 가두리내 광원의 조도가 높고 낮음에 관계없이 점등과 동시에 밝은 구역으로 이동하다가 중간구역에서 U턴하여 어두운 구역으로 재차이동하였고, 주로 어두운 구역에서 체류하였다. 그리고, 光照射시간에 따른 잿방어의 분포양식은 점등후의 행동양식과 변함없이 어두운 구역에서 주로 체류하였다. The authors carried out an experiment to find out the disposition of Horse mackerel Trachurus japonicus, Mackerel scomber australasicus and Amberjack Seriola dumerili(Risso) to the incandescent electric light. The experimental crawl(16 m in length, 3 m in breadth and 1 m in depth) was set up at the semi-field in shore. The bottom of the experimental crawl was sectioned by white rope into 48 sections equal in area of one sqare meter. The incandescent electric light of 1Kw was used as light source. Observing the behaviour of the fish, the pattern of fish distribution in the experimental crawl was recorded by counting their individuals found in each section at intervals of three minutes for three hours. Under illumination of 290∼0.1 lux, the Horse mackerel stayed in a part of higher illumination during long times. However, under illumination of 450∼1 lux, the Horse mackerel stayed in a part of middle illumination during long times. Under illumination of 290∼0.1 lux and 450∼1 lux, the Mackerel stayed in a part of higher illumination during short times, then they left for a part of lower illumination. The fish stayed in a part of lower illumination during short times, then they left for a part of higher illumination. This movement of the fish was repeated more than once. Under illumination of 290∼0.1 lux and 450∼1 lux, the Amberjack stayed in a part of lower illumination during long times.

        Quests of Restoration adaptations and imitations of Shakespeare's plays treat more often than not of alterations of character and plot, whereas changes in style are depreciated or left completely unclarified. This study is a specific exploration into Dryden's Shakespeare criticism: heroics and dramas. It is also a survey of Dryden's criticism with an eye to determining some causes for the restoration practice of adaptation, and for the particular alterations that Dryden made in the process of his effort. A study is made of the relation between the heroic poem and the drama in the Restoration period. It treats the attempts of critics and poetic practitioners to amalgamate the genres. Dryden's criticism is re-examined first as to his attempts to compound and metamorphose epic poetry to dramatic poetry, and as to his defense of Elizabethan and Jacobean drama Dryden recognized that the earlier English drama was in many respects a transformation of the epic instinct. Many practices of the older English dramatists appeared to be dramatic analogies of heroic poetry. These precedents allowed Dryden and other practicing dramatists to utilize forms larger and more varied than those of formalistic tragedy. It also reveals Dryden rejected Rymer's view and he gave English dramatic forms unflagging support.

      • 내연기관 배기 계통의 유동 해석 모델에 관한 연구

        This paper presents the examination of the various simulation models to represent the flow through the exhaust system in the internal combustion engines. Three models - adiabatic pressure loss model, sudden enlargement and sudden contraction model and the constant volume model - have been examined theoretically and experimentally to represent the flow through the catalytic converter and the muffler. This study shows that the combination of the sudden enlargement-sudden contraction model for the catalytic converter and the constant volume model for the muffler gives the best results.
