        Optimum Design on the Meridional Shape of a Multistage Centrifugal Pump Impeller for Performance Improvement

        As it has been proven, the design of impeller meridional shape directly influences the performance of multistage centrifugal pump. In this study, the five parameters of the double-arc meridional shape design method were selected as the design variables. A multi-point hydraulic optimum design method of impeller meridional shape for multistage centrifugal pump performance improvement was presented. The maximum hydraulic efficiency and effective head were chosen as the objective functions. The design of experiment method was applied to generate different impeller meridional shapes and a total of 50 sampling models were generated using the Latin Hypercube Method. The Reynolds Average Navier Stokes equations were adopted to conduct the numerical calculations. To validate the performance improvement of the optimal design model, efficiencies of the optimal design model at flow rates of 0.8Qref, 1.0Qref, and 1.2Qref were compared with the original reference model. The optimal efficiencies under the three operation conditions increased by 1.9%, 1.6%, and 0.9%, respectively. In addition, the CFD analysis of a two-stage multistage pump assembled by impellers, continuous diffuser and return vanes was conducted. The cavitation performance was also validated.

        Design and CFD analysis of screw centrifugal pump model

        As a new kind of sewage pump, the screw centrifugal pump combines the advantages of screw pump and centrifugal pump. Compared with the traditional sewage pump, this new type of screw centrifugal pump demonstrates a better performance, such as less abrasion, damage and higher efficiency. It is prospective to investigate more deeply on the screw centrifugal pump. In the past, the screw centrifugal pump usually was designed by the one-dimensional theory, the hydraulic design process is similar to a normal centrifugal pump. However, because of the long trap angle and blade rotation, it is easy to commit errors in the one-dimensional design process. In this study, the general blade screw lines of hub and shroud are analyzed. The profile equations of blade screw lines were established using polar coordinate. The entire design process was discussed in detail. Moreover, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method has been adopted to conduct numerical simulations to investigate the internal flow characteristics of the screw centrifugal pump model and validate the performance of the newly designed screw centrifugal pump model.

        The influence of water level and flow rate on vortex occurrence in pump sump

        A pump sump is an indispensable facility in cargo ships, irrigation, drainage, agriculture and industrial processes. The water intake conditions around suction bell mouth significantly affect the performance of the whole pumping system. However, there are different types of undesirable vortices that occur in pump sump, such as submerged vortex and air entraining vortex. Accompanying with the variety of vortex, noise and vibration also appears. In this study, a scaled down model of a pump sump was designed and constructed. The occurrence of the vortex was the concentrated target which was investigated under various suction pipe inlet conditions. With different water levels, flow rates and a fixed distance from the bottom to suction pipe bell mouth, detailed experiments were conducted. Additionally, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis was performed, verifying the influence of water level and flow rate on visualization and formation of vortex obtained in the experiment. The CFD analysis results were compared with those of the experiment.

        인공지능 범죄의 규제에 관한 연구

        인공지능의 탄생과 더불어 관련 이론과 기술은 신속히 발전하고 있으며, 이미 성숙한 부분은 그 응용 분야가 점점 확대되어 사람들의 일상에 투입되었고 우리의 생활과 밀접한 관계를 맺고 있다. 하지만 인공지능의 활용은 새로운 산업의 발전과 생활에 편리함을 제공하는 반면에 여러 사회적 법률문제도 일으키고 있다. 최근 인공지능을 이용한 새로운 범죄가 등장하고 있으며, 그 범죄의 수량도 날로 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 과학적 예측에 의하면 인공지능의 자발적 범죄 행위는 지속적으로 증가할 것으로 보인다. 본문은 인공지능 관련 범죄 사례를 분석하고, 인공지능 범죄에 관한 귀책원칙과 상응한 법적 대책의 마련을 통해 미래 인공지능의 범죄를 규제하는 합리적인 형법의 대책 마련에 대해 시사점을 논의 하고자 한다. 즉 인공지능과 관련된 법적 문제, 인공지능을 통해 저지르는 범죄행위에 대한 귀책과 입법의 문제 등을 검토 할 것이며, 인공지능기술과 관련된 범죄의 귀책원칙에 의하여 법률적 난제를 해결하기 위한 미래지향적 대책을 제시하고자 한다. Since the birth of artificial intelligence, its theory and technology have rapidly developed and matured, and its application area has gradually expanded, gradually permeating into daily life, and it has become closer to people's lives. But while artificial intelligence brings people sci-fi surprises and conveniences, it also produces a lot of corresponding social problems. In recent years, crimes using artificial intelligence have gradually sprouted, and there has even been a growing trend. It is even more predictable that artificial intelligence may "proactively" commit crimes on a certain day in the future. By studying the related cases of artificial intelligence crimes, we will focus on the principle of liability imputation and the legal response for the implementation of artificial intelligence crimes, so as to achieve the goal of formulating a reasonable criminal law response direction for regulating the future legalization of artificial intelligence crimes. This article will start with the legal issues associated with artificial intelligence, focusing on artificial intelligence and the use of artificial intelligence to commit crimes and legislative issues. The attribution of artificial intelligence crime is still relatively simple at present. Because of the current scientific and technological constraints, most artificial intelligence is just a tool that people use. However, human beings need to understand the meaning of artificial intelligence in a super-era, and formulate the principle of criminal liability related to the definition of artificial intelligence technology, so as to facilitate the handling of complex problems in the future. Therefore, it is necessary not only to analyze the responsibility issues in actual cases, but also to envision the ethical and legal issues faced when higher-level artificial intelligence emerges in the future.

        중국 특허권의 형사구제에 관한 논의

        세계지적재산권기구(WorldIntellectualPropertyOrganization)에 의하면 2017년 전 세계 지적재산권 신청의 총수는 또 한 번의 기록을 올린 것으로 보고되었다. 이 중에서 특허의 신청이 317만 건으로 연속 8년 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 구체적으로 살펴보자면 특허권 신청비를 지불한 총 수량에서 중국이 138만 건으로 1위, 미국 61만 건, 일본 32만 건, 한국 20.4만 건, 유럽 17만 건으로 5위에 처해 있으며, 이상 5위권의 특허권이 전 세계 총 수량의 84.5%를 차지하고 있다. 중국은 시장경제의 발전과 더불어 특허의 중요성은 날로 더하고 있으며, 특허권에 대한 불법행위도 다양하면서도 복잡한 추세를 보이고 있어서 특허권에 대한 형사구제의 연구는 중요한 의의를 갖고 있다. 지금까지 중국은 특허권에 대한 불법 침해를 주로 민사법으로 다루어 왔으며 또한 원칙으로 여기고 있어서 형사법을 통한 구제는 미약한 편이다. 원인인 즉 형사법의 입법이 아직 완벽하지 아니하여 특허권을 엄중하게 침해한 행위에 대하여도 상응한 형사책임이 규정되어 있지 않아, 특허권 신청자에 막대한 손실을 주고 있을 뿐만 아니라 발명과 창조의 적극성에 타격을 주어 과학기술의 발전을 방해하고 있는 실정이다. 다시 말해 특허권에 대한 민사법의 보호로는 역부족으로 형사법의 구제가 필요한 것이다. 본문은 글로벌 시대에 특허의 국제적 거래가 증가하고 있는 현 시점에서 중국의 특허권 관련 형사법 구제에 존재하는 문제점을 분석하고 이에 대응하는 해결의 대책을 제시하여 특허권을 한층 더 보호하는데 조금이나마 기여하고자 한다. According to the World Intellectual Property Index published by the World Intellectual Property Organization in 2017, in 2017, the number of applications for intellectual property rights in the world reached a new high, with 3.17 million patents filed, which achieved eight consecutive years of growth. Specifically, in terms of the number of patent applications that have already paid the application fee, in 2017, the number of applications accepted by the China Intellectual Property Office reached a record 138,000, far higher than that of the United States (610,000), Japan (320,000), Korea (240,000), and the European Patent Office (170,000). The top five patent applications accounted for 84.5% of the global total. The theme of World Intellectual Property Day 2017 is Innovation changes life . With the development of socialist market economy, the status of patents in the economy becomes more and more important. In recent years, the infringement of patents has shown a trend of diversification and complexity. In this special historical moment at home and abroad, it is of great significance to study the criminal relief projects of patent rights. Civil penalty is the basic principle of dealing with patent infringement in China. The understanding of patent infringement disputes is limited to the typical level of civil rights disputes. China s criminal law protection of patent rights is relatively weak, the relevant laws and regulations are not perfect enough, and there is no corresponding criminal liability for serious infringement of patent rights, which makes patent rights not well protected. some people carry out patent infringement through loopholes in the law, causing huge losses to patentees, greatly affecting people s enthusiasm for invention and creation. The civil protection of patent infringement is obviously insufficient to cope with the increasingly complex and changeable patent infringement. If we do not strengthen the criminal law protection of patent infringement and intensify the efforts to crack down on patent infringement crimes, it will obviously hinder the social innovation ability and the development of science and technology. With the rapid development of economic globalization, the world is in a community of destiny. With the development of international trade, patent infringement disputes inevitably escalate. Strengthening criminal remedies for intellectual property rights has become a trend.
