Collaboration Inventory System with Limited Resources and Weibull Distribution Deterioration
Hui-Ming Wee,Sh-Tyan Law,Jonas Yu 대한산업공학회 2007 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.6 No.1
The objective of this study is to develop an optimal joint cost from the perspectives of both the manufacturer and the retailer. The integrated production-inventory model with Weibull distribution deteriorating items is assumed to have a constant demand rate. A limited retailer storage space and multiple delivery per order are considered in this model. A numerical example including the sensitivity analysis is given to validate the results of the production-inventory model.
Zinc Regulate Meiotic Resumption and Metaphase Arrest in Porcine Oocyte

Zinc is an extremely important trace element that plays important roles in several biological processes. In this study, we investigated the role of zinc during meiotic resumption and metaphase arrest in in vitro matured porcine oocytes. Oocytes which arrest at GV or MII stage were treated with TPEN, a Zn2+ chelator, respectively. Meiotic resumption and activation were assayed. Effect of PMA, a PKC activator, on GVBD blocking and oocytes activation results from TPEN treatment were checked. Depletion of zinc with TPEN blocked meiotic resumption and results in failure of metaphase II arrest. The p34cdc2 activity in both MII oocytes and GVBD oocytes which treated with TPEN was decreased. Phosphorylated MAPK also be decreased in GVBD stage after TPEN treatment which might be explained by the low expressions of C-mos Cyclin B1 and Cdc2 in GVBD stage. But treated the oocytes with PKC agonist PMA rescued the meiotic resumption and increased MAPK and increases p34cdc2 activity. Treatment oocytes with PMA in GV stage also increased the zinc content in cytoplasm, showed that zinc regulate meiotic resumption is a PKC dependent event. However, although TPEN treatment reduced phosphorylation of PKC substrates in both meiotic resumption and MII stage, rescue the PKC substrates phosphorylation with PMA didn’t prevent the activation of oocytes caused by zinc depletion. These data demonstrate zinc regulates meiotic resumption via a PKC dependent pathway, but independent of that in maintain metaphase arrest in porcine oocytes.
Estimation of structure system input force using the inverse fuzzy estimator
Ming-Hui Lee 국제구조공학회 2011 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.37 No.4
This study proposes an inverse estimation method for the input forces of a fixed beam structural system. The estimator includes the fuzzy Kalman Filter (FKF) technology and the fuzzy weighted recursive least square method (FWRLSM). In the estimation method, the effective estimator are accelerated and weighted by the fuzzy accelerating and weighting factors proposed based on the fuzzy logic inference system. By directly synthesizing the robust filter technology with the estimator, this study presents an efficient robust forgetting zone, which is capable of providing a reasonable trade-off between the tracking capability and the flexibility against noises. The period input of the fixed beam structure system can be effectively estimated by using this method to promote the reliability of the dynamic performance analysis. The simulation results are compared by alternating between the constant and adaptive and fuzzy weighting factors. The results demonstrate that the application of the presented method to the fixed beam structure system is successful.

This paper investigates the consensus problem of the second-order multi-agent systems with communication channel constraint on signal amplitude. Communication delays as one kind of channel constraints in the second-order multi-agent systems have been discussed in the recent literature while in this paper consensus problem of second-order multi-agent systems with communication channel constraint on signal amplitude is investigated. A state-dependent switching parameter is introduced into the consensus protocol. A sufficient condition is obtained for the consensus problem of the second-order multi-agent systems with communication channel constraint based on our early work. A simple example is also given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed theorem.
Physical Layer Security in Heterogeneous Cellular Networks
Hui-Ming Wang,Tong-Xing Zheng,Jinhong Yuan,Towsley, Don,Moon Ho Lee IEEE 2016 IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONS Vol.64 No.3

The heterogeneous cellular network (HCN) is a promising approach to the deployment of 5G cellular networks. This paper comprehensively studies physical layer security in a multitier HCN where base stations (BSs), authorized users, and eavesdroppers are all randomly located. We first propose an access threshold-based secrecy mobile association policy that associates each user with the BS providing the maximum truncated average received signal power beyond a threshold. Under the proposed policy, we investigate the connection probability and secrecy probability of a randomly located user and provide tractable expressions for the two metrics. Asymptotic analysis reveals that setting a larger access threshold increases the connection probability while decreases the secrecy probability. We further evaluate the network-wide secrecy throughput and the minimum secrecy throughput per user with both connection and secrecy probability constraints. We show that introducing a properly chosen access threshold significantly enhances the secrecy throughput performance of a HCN.

This study proposes an active control method to suppress beam-rotating machinery system vibrations. The present control method is a combination of the fuzzy input estimation method (FIEM) and linear quadratic Gaussian problem (LQG) algorithms. The FIEM can estimate the unknown input and optimal states by measuring the dynamic displacement, the optimal estimated states into the feedback control; thereby obtaining the optimal control force for a random linear system. Active vibration control of a beam-rotating machinery system is performed to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can suppress vibrations in a beam-machine system more efficiently than the conventional LQG method.

This study proposes an innovative control approach to suppress the responses of a beam structural system under moving forces. The proposed control algorithm is a synthesis of the adaptive input estimation method (AIEM) and linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) controller. Using the synthesis algorithm the moving forces can be estimated using AIEM while the LQG controller offers proper control forces to effectively suppress the beam structural system responses. Active control numerical simulations of the beam structural system are performed to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control technique. The numerical simulation results show that the proposed method has more robust active control performance than the conventional LQG method.
