Query reformulation is an interactive process of revising user queries according to the query results. To assist biomedical researchers in this process, we present novel methods for automatically generating query reformulation suggestions. While previous work on query reformulation focused on addition of words to user queries, our method can deal with three types of query reformulation (i.e., addition, removal and replacement). The accuracy of the method for the addition type is ten times better than PubMed’s “Also try”, while the execution time is short enough for practical use.

베트남 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국 한자어 어휘력 향상 방안 모색 -한자음을 중심으로 하여-

This article underscores the importance of Sino-Korean vocabulary education for Vietnamese, whose mother tongue belongs to the Chinese character cultural area. This aims to make full use of the knowledge of Vietnamese learners` mother tongue for the education of words loaned from Chinese characters, which account for a majority of the Korean vocabulary. We began with a study on the characteristics of Sino-Vietnamese words, which were then compared with similar Sino-Korean words to identify the similarities and differences between these 2 groups, thus helping to find a better way for the education of Sino-Korean. Similarities and differences in phoneme, form and meaning found in the study indicated the possibility of using learners` knowledge of their mother tongue in the learning of Sino-Korean. As loaned Chinese characters are assimilated and read under the specific phonemic system of each language, it`s difficult to recognize their phoneme form. With an effort to understand how Vietnamese people recognize Chinese words in the Vietnamese language, we realized that Vietnamese people learn Chinese characters as part of the Vietnamese vocabulary and they have the ability to recognize Sino-Vietnamese words. Although a comprehensive system has not yet been in place, there are some tips to recognize Sino-Vietnamese words thanks to elements such as phoneme, form and meaning. So, the recognition of Sino-Korean through Sino-Vietnamese is quite possible. Although similarities and differences in the areas of form and meaning will definitely have an impact on the learning process, we want to first focus on phoneme with the introduction of a method to divide the phoneme of Sino-Korean words into initials and rhymes, which are then compared with the Vietnamese language in order to create a list of representative phonemes for learners. We hope that this contrastive study will be extended in the future and will be useful not only for Vietnamese learners of Korean but also Korean learners of Vietnamese.
Structure and Magnetic Properties of Nd45-xCxFe30Co15Al10 Alloys

Nd45-xCxFe30Co15Al10 (x = 0, 1, 3, 5 and 7) alloys were prepared by using a copper mold suction casting method. X-ray diraction (XRD) patterns show a trend of increasing crystallinity with increasing C content. In addition, crystallites with dierent shapes and sizes are observed by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). Multi-phase properties of the alloys are clearly exhibited on the magnetic measurements. The hysteresis loops of the lower C content alloys (x = 1 and 3) show a single-phase hard magnetic behavior with coercivities of 6.2 kOe while the loops of the higher C content alloys (x = 5 and 7) are supposing a multi-phase property with coercivities up to 7.2 kOe. Two magnetic-phase transitions, depending on the C concentration, appear in the thermomagnetization curves. Addition of C at low content (1 to 3 at.%) can improve the hard magnetic behavior of the Nd-(Fe, Co)-Al alloy. Electromigration with enhanced green emission in the titanium dioxide nanotube/graphene composite

One of the most studied photoluminescence emission peaks of anatase titanium dioxide (TiO2) is green, located at about 520 nm, which is assigned to the radiative recombination between a mobile electron in the conduction band and oxygen vacancy defect as a trapped hole in the bandgap. Composite materials of TiO2 with graphene are normally shown by the gradual quenching of photoluminescence intensity as a result of carrier lifetime extension, which is important to enhance photocatalytic activity. Herein we report an observation of the intensity enhancement of the green PL emission in a composite TiO2 nanotube (TNT) and graphene produced through facile hydrothermal synthesis. The heterojunction formation of graphene and TNT makes the excited photoelectrons easy to diffuse from TNT to graphene. Hence, the recombination rate of mobile electrons in graphene and trapped holes located on the nanotube surface is enhanced due to the high mobility of electrons in graphene.

The goal of this study is to analytically and non-stochastically generate structural uncertainty behaviors of isotropic beams and laminated composite plates under plane stress conditions by using an interval finite element method. Uncertainty parameters of structural properties considering resistance and load effect are formulated by interval arithmetic and then linked to the finite element method. Under plane stress state, the isotropic cantilever beam is modeled and the laminated composite plate is crossply lay-up [0/90]. Triangular shape with a clamped-free boundary condition is given as geometry. Through uncertainties of both Young's modulus for resistance and applied forces for load effect, the change of structural maximum deflection and maximum von-Mises stress are analyzed. Numerical applications verify the effective generation of structural behavior uncertainties through the non-stochastic approach using interval arithmetic and immediately the feasibility of the present method.
Chemical components from the leaves of Ardisia insularis and their cytotoxic activity

One new oleanane triterpene glycoside, ardinsuloside(1), and twelve known compounds, demethoxybergenin(2), norbergenin (3), bergenin (4), 4-O-galloylbergenin(5), quercitrin (6), myricitrin (7), myricetin 3-O-(300-O-galloyl)-a-L-rhamnopyranoside (8), desmanthine-2 (9), epicatechin3-O-galloyl ester (10), 30-methoxyepicatechin 3-Ogalloylester (11), gallic acid (12), and methyl galloate (13)were isolated from the leaves of Ardisia insularis. Theirstructures were established on the basis of spectral and chemicalevidence, which were in agreement with those reportedin literature. The cytotoxic activities of these compounds wereevaluated on three cancer cell lines namely A-549 (humanlung cancer), HT-29 (Human colon adenocarcinoma), andOVCAR (human ovarian carcinoma). The results revealedthat compound 1 inhibited A-549, HT-29, and OVCAR celllines with IC50 values of 8.5 ± 1.2, 16.4 ± 3.1, and13.6 ± 2.4 lM, respectively. The remaining compoundshowed weak cytotoxic activity. This result indicated thatcompound 1 could be useful in the treatment of cancer disease.
