A Novel Design of Suspension System for Driver's Seat

A driver's seat can be modeled with a suspension system of spring, mass and damper. To increase the capacity of anti-vibration, the natural frequency should be decreased as low as possible. In this paper, the method to decrease the natural frequency by the potential energy is introduced. In addition, the experiment is done on a small model to prove the theorem.

This paper employs datasets from the Enterprise Survey conducted by the World Bank to examine the relationship between four types of innovation defined by the Oslo Manual (OECD, 2005): product innovation, process innovation, marketing innovation, organization innovation, and the firm performance in the selected developing ASEAN economies. The main objective of this paper is to understand the characteristics of innovation activities at the firm level and how various innovation types affect firm performance. The empirical results from ASEAN manufacturing firms reveal that product innovation positively affects firms’ performance, while non-technological innovations are negatively related to the performance of firms. The further employed quantile regression provides more insights into the roles of innovation types on different levels of firm performance: while product and process innovations actively contribute to the small and medium-size firms (below 25th quantile and median), organizational and marketing innovations negatively affect them. Interestingly, the role of process innovation decreases when firm performance grows.

In recent decades, analyzing the activities of human brain achieved some accomplishments by using the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) technique. fMRI data provide a sequence of three-dimensional images related to human brain’s activity which can be used to detect instantaneous cognitive states by applying machine learning methods. In this paper, we propose a new approach for distinguishing human’s cognitive states such as “observing a picture” versus “reading a sentence” and “reading an affirmative sentence” versus “reading a negative sentence”. Since fMRI data are high dimensional (about 100,000 features in each sample), extremely sparse and noisy, feature selection is a very important step for increasing classification accuracy and reducing processing time. We used the Fisher Discriminant Ratio to select the most powerful discriminative features from some Regions of Interest (ROIs). The experimental results showed that our approach achieved the best performance compared to other feature extraction methods with the average accuracy approximately 95.83% for the first study and 99.5% for the second study.
Configuration of Actuator and Sensor Interface Bus Network using PLC

A kind of field bus called Actuator and Sensor interface bus(AS-i) was designed in this paper. The configuration of AS-i network system used Application Specific Integrated Circuit(ASIC) SAP5S chip and PLC S7-200 station, which included CPU 224 and AS-i master module CP 243-2. We also created an example program for PLC S7-200 to control AS-i network. The fire and smoke detection system was made with AS-i network system that was designed. This system had got more advantages than other system such as number of stations, easy installation, wide working area, etc. And designed system can be used as a partner network for higher level field bus networks.

본 논문은 베트남 중국어 학습자의 중국어 학습 코퍼스를 이용하여, 베트남 학습자의 복합추 향보어 인신의의 습득 현황을 파악하고자 하였다. 연구를 통해 베트남 학습자들의 모델은 “U형 태의 행위모델”임을 알 수 있었다. 습득과정에서의 오류 유형은 다양한 형태로 분석되었으나, 복합추향보어 “冗余”의 인신의의 경우 모든 학습 단계에서 주요한 오류로 파악되었다. 이는 모어의 전이과정과 몾적어의 규칙의 변화로 인한 것으로 이해할 수 있다. 중국어를 모국어로 사용하는 화자들과 비교해 볼 때 베트남 중국어 학습자의 복합추향보어인신의를 더 적게 사용하 려는 경향이 있었다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 본고에서 보충적 학습 방법을 제안하였다. Based on Vietnamese Learners’ Chinese inter-language corpus, this paper examines the Vietnamese learners’ acquisition of Chinese extensional uses of compound directional complement. On the whole, their acquisition mode is U-shaped Behavior. In the process of acquisition, the types of errors that occur at different level of Chinese are somewhat different. Over-inclusion is the main type of errors in each level of Chinese. Negative language transfer and overgeneralization of target language rules are the main reason with leads to errors. Through Likelihood Radio Test, compared with the native Chinese speakers, we find Vietnamese learners’ use of extensional uses of compound directional complement that have the unused and the under-use some meaning. At last, this paper puts forward advice for teaching to Vietnamese learners.

<P>Cationic polymers have been the subject of intense research as nonviral gene delivery systems due to several advantages in comparison with viral vectors. However, the nonsimultaneous combination of high transfection efficiency and low cytotoxicity of nonviral vectors for gene delivery has long been an issue for scientists looking into ways to deliver genes into cells. Toward this goal, we designed, synthesized, and evaluated a safe and accelerated gene transfer system through polysorbitol-mediated transporter (PSMT) based on sorbitol diacrylate (SDA) and low molecular weight polyethylenimine (LMW PEI). The PSMT formed stable complexes with plasmid DNA in serum. The nano sizes and spherical shapes of PSMT/DNA complexes are not toxic, even at a high concentration of PSMT. The higher transfection efficiency of PSMT compared to PEI 25K was observed both <I>in vitro,</I> despite the existence of many hydroxyl groups, and <I>in vivo</I>. These improvements presumably stem from the osmotic property of polysorbitol and endosomal buffer capacity of PEI in PSMT. Most importantly, we confirmed that the selective cavaeolae endocytic pathway played a role in high transfection efficiency by osmotic PSMT-mediated gene delivery. Herding Behavior in Emerging and Frontier Stock Markets During Pandemic Influenza Panics

We apply Return Dispersion Model by calculating CSAD (Cross-sectional standard deviation of return) and State Space Model to identify herding behavior in the period of pandemic (H1N1 and COVID-19). Employing data from TEJ and Data Stream, this paper examines whether the herding behavior is existing in Vietnam and Taiwan stock market, especially during pandemic influenza. We compare the differences in herding behavior between frontier and emerging markets by examining different industries across Vietnam and Taiwan stock market approaches. The results indicate solid evidence for investor herd configuration in the various industries of Vietnam and Taiwan. The herding impact in the industries will be greater than with the aggregate market. The different industries respond differently to influenza pandemic panics through uptrend and downtrend demonstrations. Up to 12 industries were found to have herding in Vietnam, while Taiwan had only 5 of 17 industries classified. Taiwan market, an emerging and herding-level market, has changed due to the impact of changing conditions such as epidemics, but not as strongly as in Vietnam. From there, we see that the disease is a factor that, not only creates anxiety from a health perspective, but also causes psychological instability for investors when investing in the market.
