Thunberg fritillary (Fritillaria thunbergii), a perennial used in traditional Chinese herbal medicine, is a members of the family Liliaceae. The degeneration of germplasm is a severe problem in the production of Fritillaria thunbergii var. chekiangensis. However, no information about viral infections of F. thunbergii var. chekiangensis has been reported. In this study, we sequenced the small RNAs of F. thunbergii var. chekiangensis from leaves and bulbs, and viruses were identified using a phylogenetic analysis and BLAST search for sequence. In addition, multiplex reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to rapidly detect viruses in this variety. Our study first reported that five viruses infected F. thunbergii var. chekiangensis. Among them, fritillary virus Y (FVY), lily mottle virus (LMoV), Thunberg fritillary mosaic virus (TFMV), and hop yellow virus (HYV) had been reported in F. thunbergii, while apple stem grooving virus was first reported in the genus Fritillaria. A multiplex RT-PCR method was developed to rapidly test the four viruses FVY, LMoV, TFMV, and HYV in F. thunbergii var. chekiangensis. Our results provide a better understanding of the infection of F. thunbergii var. chekiangensis by viruses and a basic reference for the better design of suitable control measures.

Residual deformation is a crucial index that should be paid special attention in the performance-based seismic analyses of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. Owing to their superior re-centering capacity under earthquake excitations, the post-tensioned self-centering (PTSC) RC frames have been proposed and developed for engineering application during the past few decades. This paper presents a comprehensive assessment on the seismic fragility of a PTSC frame by simultaneously considering maximum and residual deformations. Bivariate limit states are defined according to the pushover analyses for maximum deformations and empirical judgments for residual deformations. Incremental Dynamic Analyses (IDA) are conducted to derive the probability of exceeding predefined limit states at specific ground motion intensities. Seismic performance of the PTSC frame is compared with that of a conventional monolithic RC frame. The results show that, taking a synthetical consideration of maximum and residual deformations, the PTSC frame surpasses the monolithic frame in resisting most damage states, but is more vulnerable to ground motions with large intensities.
The SH2 domain is crucial for function of Fyn in neuronal migration and cortical lamination

Neurons in the developing brain form the cortical plate (CP) in an inside-out manner, in which the late-born neurons are located more superficially than the early-born neurons. Fyn, a member of the Src family kinases, plays an important role in neuronal migration by binding to many substrates. However, the role of the Src-homology 2 (SH2) domain in function of Fyn in neuronal migration remains poorly understood. Here, we demonstrate that the SH2 domain is essential for the action of Fyn in neuronal migration and cortical lamination. A point mutation in the Fyn SH2 domain (FynR176A) impaired neuronal migration and their final location in the cerebral cortex, by inducing neuronal aggregation and branching. Thus, we provide the first evidence of the Fyn SH2 domain contributing to neuronal migration and neuronal morphogenesis. [BMB Reports 2015; 48(2): 97-102]

Background: Weight loss during chemotherapy has not been exclusively investigated. Macrophage inhibitory cytokine-1 (MIC-1) might play a role in its etiology. Here, we investigated the prognostic value of weight loss before chemotherapy and its relationship with MIC-1 concentration and its occurrence during chemotherapy in patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Materials and Methods: We analyzed 157 inoperable locally advanced or metastatic ESCC patients receiving first-line chemotherapy. Serum MIC-1 concentrations were assessed before chemotherapy. Patients were assigned into two groups according to their weight loss before or during chemotherapy:>5% weight loss group and ${\leq}5%$ weight loss group. Results: Patients with weight loss>5% before chemotherapy had shorter progression-free survival period (5.8 months vs. 8.7 months; p=0.027) and overall survival (10.8 months vs. 20.0 months; p=0.010). Patients with weight loss >5% during chemotherapy tended to have shorter progression-free survival (6.0 months vs. 8.1 months; p=0.062) and overall survival (8.6 months vs. 18.0 months; p=0.022), and if weight loss was reversed during chemotherapy, survival rates improved. Furthermore, serum MIC-1 concentration was closely related to weight loss before chemotherapy (p=0.001) Conclusions: Weight loss both before and during chemotherapy predicted poor outcome in advanced ESCC patients, and MIC-1 might be involved in the development of weight loss in such patients.
Circ_0026359 induces HOXA9 to regulate gastric cancer malignant progression through miR‑140‑3p

Recent researches indicate the key role of circRNA in gastric cancer (GC) progression. However, the role of circ_0026359 in GC progression remains unclear. This study aims to analyze the role of circ_0026359 in GC development and the underlying mechanism. The results showed that compared with controls, GC tissues and cells displayed high circ_0026359 and HOXA9 expression, and low miR-140-3p expression. Depletion of circ_0026359 repressed cell proliferation, migration, invasion and glycolysis, and induced cell apoptosis. Circ_0026359 knockdown inhibited neoplasm growth in vivo. Under-expression of miR-140-3p, a target miRNA of circ_0026359, relieved the effects of circ_0026359 knockdown on GC progression. Additionally, HOXA9 was regulated by the circ_0026359/miR-140-3p axis. Thus, circ_0026359 absence inhibited GC progression by miR-140-3p/HOXA9 pathway, which provided an effective therapeutic target for GC.
조선나선경제무역지대의 부동산법제도에 관한 연구-중국과의 비교를 중심으로-

나선경제특구는 조선이 중국과 공동으로 개발하고 운영하는 경제특구로 목적은 중국과 외국의 자본, 기술을 끌어들여 시험적으로 나선경제특구의 경제를 발전시켜 성공하면 타지역으로 그 범위를 확대하여 운영 할 목적도 담겨 있다. 그 중에서도 외국인투자와 밀접한 관련이 있는 부분이 부동산문제이다. 조선은 나선경제무역지대부동산규정을 제정하여 토지문제를 규율하고 있다. 위 규정에는 나선지역의 국유토지의 사용권 취득, 임대료, 기한, 분쟁해결 등 상세한 규정이 포함되어 있는데 그 중에는 중국의 경험을 참조하여 법과 관련 규정을 제정하였다는 것을 알 수 있다. 공통점도 있지만 그 차이점 또한 아주 크다고 할 수 있다. Rason Economic and Trade Zone is a special economic zone in North Korea which is jointly developed and operated by China and North Korea. Through the introduction of China`s and other countries` capital and technology to develop the economics of Rason Economic and Trade Zone is its establishment purpose, and its success would be extended to other SEZ in North Korea. Real estate issue is closely related to foreign investment. North Korea legislated < the Rason Economic and Trade Zone`s Real Estate Regulation > to regulate the problems of land and real estate. The Regulation ruled the access to state-owned land, rental fees, lease term, transfer, dispute resolution, and so on. Through the observation of the contents of the regulation, the reference of China`s experience and law can be found.

In China, serious environmental problems, improving of environmental awareness and growing of environmental rights proposition prompted the introduction of environmental public interest litigation and it has become a means of environmental rights relief. And by modifying the law, environmental public interest litigation is clear, by establishing environmental courts to hear environmental cases, environmental public interest litigation is tending to judicial specialization. Legal basis related to environmental public interest litigation is “Civil Law” Article 55, “Environmental Protection Law” Article 58. The above‐mentioned laws provide but don’t relax plaintiff qualification of environmental public interest litigation, only environmental groups have restrictive plaintiff qualification, it s not conducive to protecting the environment and relieving environmental rights. In addition, environmental courts set up across the country don’t have a unified standard, the local set up environmental courts just according to local needs, mostly located in the Primary Court, it is not conducive to solving environmental disputes. It is necessary to design environmental courts from the perspective of the Supreme Court, to regulate environmental court to hear environmental cases and resolve environmental disputes, to achieve the purpose of protecting the environment.
