Correlation analysis of the wind of a cable-stayed bridge based on field monitoring
Li, Hui,Laima, Shujin,Li, Na,Ou, Jinping,Duan, Zhondong Techno-Press 2010 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.13 No.6
This paper investigates the correlation of wind characteristics monitored on a cable-stayed bridge. Total five anemoscopes are implemented into the bridge. Two out of 5 anemoscopes in inflow and two out of 5 anemoscopes in wake-flow along the longitudinal direction of the bridge are installed. Four anemoscopes are respectively distributed at two cross-sections. Another anemoscope is installed at the top of the tower. The correlation of mean wind speed and direction, power spectral density, the turbulent intensity and integral length of wind in flow at two cross-sections are investigated. In addition, considering the non-stationary characteristics of wind, the spatial correlation in time-frequency is analyzed using wavelet transform and different phenomenon from those obtained through FFT is observed. The time-frequency analysis further indicates that intermittence, coherence structures and self-similar structures are distinctly observed from fluctuant wind. The flow characteristics around the bridge deck at two positions are also investigated using the field measurement. The results indicate that the mean wind speed decrease when the flow passing through the deck, but the turbulence intensity become much larger and the turbulence integral lengths become much smaller compared with those of inflow. The relationship of RMS (root mean square) of wake-flow and the mean wind speed of inflow is approximately linear. The special structures of wake-flow in time-frequency domain are also analyzed using wavelet transform, which aids to reveal the forming process of wake-flow.
Research and practice of health monitoring for long-span bridges in the mainland of China
Li, Hui,Ou, Jinping,Zhang, Xigang,Pei, Minshan,Li, Na Techno-Press 2015 Smart Structures and Systems, An International Jou Vol.15 No.3
The large number of long-span bridges constructed in China motivates the applications of structural health monitoring (SHM) technology. Many bridges have been equipped with sophisticated SHM systems in the mainland of China and in Hong Kong of China. Recently, SHM technology has been extended to field test systems. In this view, SHM can serve as a tool to develop the methods of life-cycle performance design, evaluation, maintenance and management of bridges; to develop new structural analysis methods through validation and feedback from SHM results; and to understand the behavior of bridges under natural and man-made disasters, rapidly assess the damage and loss of structures over large regions after disasters, e.g., earthquake, typhoon, flood, etc. It is hoped that combining analytical methods, numerical simulation, small-scale tests and accelerated durability tests with SHM could become the main engine driving the development of bridge engineering. This paper demonstrates the above viewpoint.
Incentive Mechanism to Creative Talents in Small and Micro Cultural Enterprises in China
Li Hui,Li Wenya 대한경영학회 2016 대한경영학회 학술발표대회 발표논문집 Vol.2016 No.1
Small and micro cultural enterprises make tremendous contributions to the development as well as the growth of China’s cultural industry. Creative talents who is playing a significant role are the sources of the rise, development and prosperity of enterprises. It is useful to develop a series of special strategies to motivate the creative talents on the premise that we analyzed the current situation of small and micro enterprises, the characteristics and demand factors of the creative talents. At present, Some problems exist in the small and micro enterprises about incentive, such as imperfect human resource management, low overall wage level and depressed business environment and so on. In order to solve the above problems, small and micro cultural enterprises ought to stick to the principles: combining the material and mental incentives, short-term and long-term incentives as well as individual and team motivation. They can complete the system of incentives by means of human resource outsourcing, create suitable environment for creative talents, enhance cultural and intrinsic incentives and so on intending to improve the incentive level of creative talents.
FREQUENTLY CONVERGENT SOLUTIONS OF A DIFFERENCE EQUATION
Li, Hui,Bu, Fanqiang,Tao, Yuanhong Chungcheong Mathematical Society 2014 충청수학회지 Vol.27 No.2
In this paper, using the definition and properties of frequency measurement, we describe the properties of solutions of a difference equation as the initial value belongs to different intervals of the whole domain. We get the main result that if the initial value belongs to [-1, 1] which is different from $\frac{-1{\pm}\sqrt{5}}{2}$, then the solution defined by initial value have two frequent limits 0 and 1 of the same degree 0.5.
Wear Detection in Gear System Using Hilbert-Huang Transform
Li, Hui,Zhang, Yuping,Zheng, Haiqi The Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers 2006 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.20 No.11
Fourier methods are not generally an appropriate approach in the investigation of faults signals with transient components. This work presents the application of a new signal processing technique, the Hilbert-Huang transform and its marginal spectrum, in analysis of vibration signals and faults diagnosis of gear. The Empirical mode decomposition (EMD), Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) and marginal spectrum are introduced. Firstly, the vibration signals are separated into several intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) using EMD. Then the marginal spectrum of each IMF can be obtained. According to the marginal spectrum, the wear fault of the gear can be detected and faults patterns can be identified. The results show that the proposed method may provide not only an increase in the spectral resolution but also reliability for the faults diagnosis of the gear.
Meta Analysis of Treatment for Stage IE~IIE Extranodal Natural Killer /T Cell Lymphomas in China
Li, Hui,Wang, Chun-Sen,Wang, Xiao-Dong Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.5
Objective: To evaluate early treatment for extranodal natural killer/T cell lymphoma (ENK/TCL) in China and provide reference for clinical treatment of these patients. Methods: Computer-based retrieval was performed in PubMed, CNKI, CBM, VIP and WanFang Data to search for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of treatment for early ENK/TCL, and a meta-analysis was conducted with RevMan 5.0 software. Results: A total of 11 RCTs, including 871 patients, were selected, of which the first radiotherapy had a higher complete response (CR) than the first chemotherapy [OR=14.16, 95%CI (8.68, 23.10), P<0.00001] and CR was not different between combined treatment group and radiotherapy group [OR=1.86, 95%CI (0.47, 3.58), P=0.61], but long-term survival rate was higher with combined treatment[OR=1.88, 95%CI (1.09, 3.19), P=0.02]. No difference in survival rate was observed between radio-chemotherapy and chemo-radiotherapy groups [OR=1.11, 95%CI (0.73, 1.69), P=0.63]. Conclusions: Radiotherapy is of great significance in the treatment of early ENK/TCL, but combined therapy could further enhance long-term survival rate of patients. This conclusion still requires further confirmation using RCTs with high quality and large sample size.

<P>Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) possess the capacity to self-renew and differentiate into all cell types of an organism. It is essential to understand how these properties are controlled for the potential usage of their derivatives in clinical settings and reprogramming of differentiated somatic cells. Although transcriptional factors, such as Oct4, Sox2, and Nanog, have been considered as a part of the core regulatory circuitry, a growing body of evidence suggests that additional factors exist and contribute to the control of ESC self-renewal and differentiation. Here, we report that Ly-1 antibody reactive clone (LYAR), a zinc finger nucleolar protein highly expressed in undifferentiated ESCs, plays a critical role in maintaining ESC identity. Its downregulation significantly reduces the rate of ESC growth and increases their apoptosis. Moreover, reduced expression of LYAR in ESCs impairs their differentiation capacity, failing to rapidly silence pluripotency markers and to activate differentiation genes upon differentiation. Mechanistically, LYAR forms a complex with another nucleolar protein, nucleolin, and prevents its self-cleavage, maintaining a normal steady-state level of nucleolin protein in undifferentiated ESCs. Interestingly, the downregulation of nucleolin is detrimental to the growth of ESCs and increases the rate of apoptosis, similarly to the knockdown of LYAR. Thus, our data emphasize the fact that other genes besides Oct4 and Nanog are uniquely required for ESC self-renewal and differentiation and demonstrate that LYAR functions to control the stability of nucleolin protein, which in turn is essential for maintaining the self-renewal of ESCs.</P>
