      • FASHION, MUSIC AND DESIGN MANAGEMENT IN THE NETWORKED WORLD CASE STUDY; FASHION, ART, MUSIC AND SCIENCES IN THE 'SIGNATURE' PROJECT

Lidija Fištrek 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2017 Global Fashion Management Conference Vol.2017 No.07

The “Signature” project is the result of several years of study and research in the field of interdisciplinary artistic fields and phenomenology of contemporary fashion, identity, body as a means in fashion and performative arts, and the post-human condition of the body in performance. In contemporary fashion, the clothing item is morphed into a completely new identity. The real body is transformed by clothes, as well as by other forms (prosthetics, plastic surgery), called human extensions. The evolution of the body and clothes enshrining it represents a spectre of methods, theories and styles in line with every author presented in the “Signature” project. For them, the body should be in harmony with its inner and outer surrounding, since it has a need to intervene and change its nature. We live in a hyper-consumerist society in which everything is reduced to recycled, revitalised images of past historical styles. It all becomes personal styles and yet it still represents in our “spectacle” society. At the Signature exhibition of the Arts Association and Lidija Fistrek as a author, held at the Technical Museum in Zagreb in 2013 and 2016 at the Design Week in Zagreb, four Croatian fashion designers’, performance artist’s, sculptures, music producers works were presented. To these designers, clothing represents a medium, which enters visually into our consciousness and becomes significant as we communicate in nonverbal manners. The approach to clothing and bodies as mediums vividly shows how each author leaves his/her recognisable signature. The body itself, and its personal lifestyle-reflecting appearance, is already visually pre-construed. It needs to dress, to change styles, to intervene and redesign its own „nature” according to changes in the inner and outer environment. Fashion designers use the body surface in various ways as a territory for inscription, which erases in a rather appealing way the boundaries of belonging and offers an opportunity to leave a personal signature mark on their original work.

Application of the Catalyst MnTACN onto Cotton Fabric as a Novel Approach in the H2O2/UV Decolourisation Process

        Lidija Tušek,Lidija Fras Zemljič,Bojana Vončina,Julija Volmajer Valh 한국섬유공학회 2022 Fibers and polymers Vol.23 No.9

In this article a novel approach for a catalytic advanced oxidation process using H2O2/UV/MnTACN isinvestigated, for the decolouration of Reactive Blue 4 (RB4) containing wastewater at room temperature. The catalyst 1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (MnTACN) was not added to the batch reactor where the advanced oxidation process(AOP) was carried out conventionally, but was first applied to the cotton fabric to form a suitable catalyst carrier with a highspecific surface area. With the given experimental parameters (0.777 g/l H2O2; a mercury (Hg) lamp at 500 W; 40 mg/lsolution of Reactive Blue 4; room temperature), complete decolourisation with the MnTACN catalyst was achieved in only20 minutes. When the MnTACN catalyst adsorbed on the cotton fabrics is introduced into the process as a functional textilematerial, the decolouration of RB4 is much faster, and 100 % decolouration is achieved in 10 minutes. Although pretreatmentof the fabric with acid and/or UV/ozone before application of MnTACN influences the amount of adsorbedMnTACN, the decolouration process is almost unaffected over time. Pre-treatment of fabric with chitosan before theapplication of MnTACN affects the final decolourisation rate and efficiency negatively, and does not act synergistically withthe MnTACN. The same functional fabric with adsorbed MnTACN can be used in at least 5 consecutive AOPs, which makesthe process more environmentally friendly and cost effective, but also opens the possibility to a continuous wastewatertreatment process.

Raman Spectroscopy of Fluoropolymer Conformal Coatings on Electronic Boards

        Mirjana Rodošek,Lidija Slemenik Perše,Mohor Mihelčič,Matjaž Koželj,Boris Orel,Başak Bengű,Onder Sunetci,Pauli Pori,Angela Šurca Vuk 대한금속·재료학회 2014 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.10 No.5

Fluoropolymer conformal coatings were applied to electronic boards (EBs) and cured at room temperature or 80°C. The coatings were first deposited on model substrate, i.e. aluminium alloy AA 2024 and tested for their anticorrosion properties with a potentiodynamic polarisation technique. The cathodic current densities ranged from 10−9 - 10−10 A/cm2, approaching the lower current limit after the addition of TiO2 nanoparticles into the formulation. Application of fluoropolymer-based formulation was performed via spray-coating deposition. Examination of the coverage of EBs under UV light, which is commonly used in industry, revealed that some components might not be entirely covered. In the search for other possible analytical tools of coverage with protective coatings, optical microscopy and confocal Raman spectroscopy were investigated.

        Kire Jakimoski,Sime Arsenovski,Lidija Gorachinova,Slavcho Chungurski,Oliver Iliev,Leonid Djinevski,Emilija Kamcheva 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.9 No.4

Available bandwidth is one the key challenges that is present in every new developed standard in the computer networks. There are many proposed methodologies in the existing research literature for measuring the available bandwidth. In this paper we will present summary of the main contributions in this field, research problems and solutions and we will present possible ways for improving the suggested solutions in the existing literature. Furthermore, survey of the most important tools for measuring the available bandwidth in wired and wireless networks is presented in details.

      • Experimental and numerical analysis of the global behaviour of the 1:9 scale model of the Old Bridge in Mostar

        Kustura, Mladen,Smoljanovic, Hrvoje,Nikolic, Zeljana,Krstevska, Lidija Techno-Press 2021 Coupled systems mechanics Vol.10 No.1

Composite nature of the masonry structures in general causes complex and non-linear behaviour, especially in intense vibration conditions. The presence of different types and forms of structural elements and different materials is a major problem for the analysis of these type of structures. For this reason, the analysis of the behaviour of masonry structures requires a combination of experimental tests and non-linear mathematical modelling. The famous UNESCO Heritage Old Bridge in Mostar was selected as an example for the analysis of the global behaviour of reinforced stone arch masonry bridges. As part of the experimental research, a model of the Old Bridge was constructed in a scale of 1:9 and tested on a shaking table platform for different levels of seismic excitation. Non-linear mathematical modelling was performed using a combined finite-discrete element method (FDEM), including the effect of connection elements. The paper presents the horizontal displacement of the top of the arch and the failure mechanism of the Old Bridge model for the experimental and the numerical phase, as well as the comparison of the results. This research provided a clearer insight into the global behaviour of stone arch masonry structures reinforced with steel clamps and steel dowels, which is significant for the structures classified as world cultural heritage.

      • Performance Analysis of Linux-Based TCP Congestion Control Algorithms in VANET Environment

        Kire Jakimoski,Slavcho Chungurski,Sime Arsenovski,Lidija Gorachinova,Oliver Iliev,Leonid Djinevski,Emilija Kamcheva 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.4

Transport layer protocol is used by the majority of the applications in wire and wireless networks. In addition, there are a lot of challenges in testing and applying this protocol in highly dynamic topological Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET). Quality of Service and reliability of the Transmission Control Protocol in vehicular wireless network is not assured due to frequent link failure, short duration of session, packet drop due to congestion, multipath propagation delay etc. Performances of the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) are highly depended on congestion control algorithms that limit the amount of data to be transmitted based on the estimated network capacity and receiver’s TCP window. Goal of this paper is to analyze and evaluate TCP congestion control algorithms in VANET environment and suggest the most appropriate of them. Throughput and packet delivery ratio is examined changing the C2C-CA message intervals in order to find out the best solution for VANET environment. Important conclusions are obtained that could be of great use for professionals that work in this area.
